The Old Dairy was very clean and comfortable and in a quiet spot. There was off road parking right outside the cottage The location was very convenient for visiting local towns and villages as well as the coast, and Hull was only a short distance away. Would definitely recommend, and would use again if visiting that part of the country

Very clean, comfortable and well maintained in a great location with lots of things to do in the area and a good place to take a dog as many pubs and cafe's allowed dogs inside. The owner(Louise) was friendly and was at hand if needed which was reassuring.I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

  • "Immaculate cottage tastefully decorated."

It was very small. Owners garden could have been better designed so the guests did not have to look at their dustbins from the sitting room. The owner also insisted that the door should remain closed at all times to avoid their dogs entering the cottage. In the unusually high heat of our holiday we found this an unreasonable rule.

The sitting room window faced onto a bird table and Louise, the owner, kindly refilled the feeders so mum could watch the birds which was so thoughtful. Would highly recommend. Jill. X

  • "Lovely cottage in really quiet location."

Louise left us some eggs, milk, biscuits, tea and coffee. Always appreciated. Everything we needed in the kitchen and everywhere looked very clean. A vase of flowers on the table was a lovely touch too! One gripe was that the mattress on the single bed that I slept on was so hard! I hardly slept the first night. It made both my hips sore. I had to use the spare duvet which I put between the 2 sheets and that was ok for the rest of the week. It may suit other people though. Also we found the TV was very high on the wall. Otherwise, a very enjoyable week

  • "Sorry but I'm a one for lengthy reviews, so here goes."

I've made sections so hopefully it's easier to read. 1) Getting there. The directions we're good and obtaining the key was safe and easy (followed the instructions & phoned the owner on key info). 2) Set up. The owners had a house next door and there are two semi detached cottages, a 2 bed & a 1 bed on site. Both had access to a private garden & summer house containing a bonus of chairs, tables & even a BBQ. Location was good, only about 5 miles from the sea & Hornsea ( if you are energetic you could walk it as there were footpaths, to keep you off the road). The area surrounding the cottage was quiet with almost no traffic noise. 3) Arrival. The owner (Louise) was present when we arrived. We received a very nice, Yorkshire, welcome. 4) Cottage itself We stayed in the 2 bed. Fresh flowers, milk in the fridge & a tray of tea & coffee was another lovely touch & true to the description in the brochure. The cottage was immaculate & everything worked as it should including a good WiFi signal. 5) To sum up. Good location, friendly owners (many thanks Louise and Pete) Immaculate cottage with added little touches that made it feel special. We will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

The cottage owners are super friendly and I would recommend this holiday let and would come again myself. Safe enclosed garden for the dogs but it is shared so bare that in mind if the other let people are wary of dogs, I checked no one was in it before I took my dogs in for a runabout.
