  • "A lovely little cottage and in a nice location with some lovely walking along the Cleveland Way straight from the door."

  • "Lovely warm and cosy holiday cottage, great location and so close to the sea."

Easy access to the Cleaveland way, we walked to Staithes one and a half miles along the coast path for a pub lunch. It’s a ten minute walk to the village pub of an evening. You can be in the wilderness of the moors in minutes or a 20 minute drive to Whitby. The cottage was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. After a blustery October day out it was lovely to light the log burner and relax in the cottage. A very enjoyable holiday.

  • "We had problems with the tv because of a fire at the transmitter."

The owner did try to sort it out but unfortunately the picture repeatedly pixelated. She also replaced the mattress in the back bedroom.

Well equipped.. and clean. Good views and easy access to the Cleveland Way… a lovely walk to Runswick bay and Staithes. Whitby and Saltburn a short drive away. A perfect place to chill and relax.

  • "A really nice cottage."

Well equipped and the decor was very pleasant - a maritime theme throughout. Clearly had much thought given to it and made the cottage more comfortable. Our thanks to the owners Nick and Jane.

  • "The owners rang us a few days before to make sure we had all the details we needed for arrival, including directions and the key code."

The cottage is perfectly located for the Cleveland Way and an easy walk to either Staithes or Runswick Bay. The place was clean and comfortable, and we found parking so easily. The mattress in the bigger bedroom is probably ready for a change, but I will definitely be booking again for a perfect getaway.

  • "The cottage had been redecorated beautifully, this is not reflected in the pics."

Location stunning for clifftop walks and scramble down to beach. We had a great stay

  • "A few minor maintenance issues, dripping tap in the kitchen, shower head in the up stairs bathroom needs sorting."

The dining room radiator was leaking and some of the saucepans and kitchen utensils could do with replacing. I know this might seem a little harsh but if these things get sorted it will make the Cottage a nicer place to stay. Overall the cottage is very nice and in a great location, we will definitely be coming back in the future.
