  • "Our 2nd stay at this farm and we thoroughly enjoyed it again."

Erica’s ‘eaven was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed for self catering, it was warm, there was ample hot water, a comfortable bed and the owners who were friendly and helpful, were excellent hosts. Access to a freezer was useful so we didn’t need to spend valuable holiday time shopping. The cottage is in a pretty spot, down a farm lane with lovely views. There are numerous walks from the door, in woodland, beside the river, over moorland and down country lanes. It was very easy to relax, we felt at home instantly and would love to return. We enjoyed feeding the animals and hens, and walking with the alpacas too. Altogether a very successful holiday.

Comfy bed and all other furniture and equipment in good order. The hospitality goodies were really appreciated. The location is very rural and charming, with animals in the fields, the alpacas were very tame and keen to have treats. There are lots of places to visit within 20 miles.

The situation of the cottage couldn't be better for peace and quiet, with plenty of wildlife to observe. For us the only down side as two 70 year olds was the lack of comfy chairs. The sofas provided were too low and much to soft, people like ourselves with back problems will find rising very difficult. Otherwise a brilliant property, we highly recommend it if tranquility is what you want.

Clean and comfortable barn conversion. Very generous welcome pack on arrival and even feed for the chickens and alpacas. Some thoughtful touches for that extra special break. The property is detached, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the quirky touches like the book shelves and towel rail. the kitchen was very well equipped with a dishwasher and plenty of crockery, cookwear and utensils. We made breakfast then ate out remainder of day, there are plenty of pubs serving great food in the nearby villages. The property had a large TV/DVD and there was a good selection of DVD's to choose from and plenty of detailed local maps for walking etc. There were some great walks and routes you could cycle (mountain bikes) direct from the farm .... oh yes, it was lovely to see the animals whilst sitting outside on the patio or in the courtyard. Rare breeds cattle, sheep, alpacas and the chickens (try those eggs OMG! delicious)

We were amazed at the complimentary wine, chocolate, cookies, milk, dog treats, newspaper etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were all that you need but just one minor thing lacking was an iron and ironing board, however Sarita very kindly loaned us hers and is looking to providing them for future guests. We loved seeing the vast array of different breeds of chickens, and the sheep and lambs were a delight to watch and they were very friendly. Be aware that there is no mobile phone signal ,as you are in a valley, although there is Wifi, I was a bit concerned about this as my husband is of poor health but we could have messaged someone on wi fi, if we had needed medical help in the middle of the night. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday
