    “Loveley cottage, well situated for public transport and alll ameneties.”

    Very comfortable and wel equipped. Could maybe do with an electric or gas fire in sitting room, which was a very large room and took a long time to heat for comfortable sitting. It was lovely when fully heated! Good TV reception and had all necessary channels, inc. Prime and Netflix. Lovely comfortable bed with superb bedding. Good parking spavce though a bit difficult to manouver into back street. Lovely little back yard, the outside loo was an added bonus. Overall a lovely staqy in a nive ...

Marske-by-the-Sea is a small, bustling coastal village with long, wide, sandy beaches. Originally an old fishing village, today it has a selection of local shops and pubs, which cater for all the family, plus the safe, sandy beaches, sand dunes and fishing boats are an enticing attraction. Places of interest nearby include Captain Cook's birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. Within easy reach of this quaint village is a horse riding centre, the stunning scenery of the North York Moors, through which runs a steam railway line, and the numerous pretty inland villages and fishing villages including Staithes and Runswick Bay. The old Victorian spa town of Saltburn is just 3 miles away and it's an easy drive to other seaside resorts such as Whitby. A great base from which to tour the area.
