This spacious abode offers large groups a getaway to North Yorkshire with easy access to the coast and local attractions. The property offers ten bedrooms, offering TVs, and many with en-suites, with a range of twin, double, and family rooms, as well as a bathroom, each with sleek interiors and storage for all of your belongings. Outside, make the most of the sunshine in the rear garden, toasting to your holiday with a glass of your favourite beverage. 4 miles Further along the coast is Filey where you will find Filey golf course, Filey bird and animal park and the popular Filey Brigg which is a hidden gem for hikers and walkers across beach stone and pebbles. Head into Scarborough for a fun-filled day out, where you can tour the remains of Scarborough Castle, take in the botanical landscape of Peasholm Park, head to the Sea Life Centre, or even follow the Cleveland Way walking trail up to the National Park. Then grab a bag of fish and chips and stroll along the beachfront where you can walk from North bay to South bay where you will find all the traditional seaside treats from fairground rides and amusements, to a ride on the speedboat or the pirate ship finishing the day with candy floss or an ice-cream from the many parlours you will find. Scarborough town centre is a short walk away from South bay beach where you will find an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars.Bridlington is within easy driving distance, where you can hike the Flamborough Outer Headlands Nature Reserve and make memories at Bridlington Sea front, plus much more.. We had a great stay!
There were 16 of us and there was plenty of room. Great that so many of the rooms have en-suites and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Would recommend this accommodation for groups.

Exceeded expectations and the whole group thoroughly enjoyed our stay, didn't want to leave.
Only negative is the bedrooms directly above the boiler room which needs to be looked at to reduce the noise!!

Ideal Holiday cottage for a large group with all the facilities you need, this works out much cheaper than going into a Hotel, well recommended.

I booked this cottage for a 60th birthday celebration weekend with friends.
The cottage was perfect with so many bedrooms with ensuites. We all had a fantastic time, the cottage was really clean. The living area was comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition. The area was lovely, we we're able to enjoy walks on thd beach. Taxi's into scarbrough, and lunch on Sunday in Hummanby. Overall a fabulous weekend. Would definitely stay again.

Our large family group of 3 generations found Honeysuckle Cottage suited us pretty well.
The cottage is spacious and well-equipped with ample car-parking. The hot tub was much appreciated, as was the games area. The only significant maintenance issue we noticed was the shower in one the 3 bedrooms on the 'upper deck' doesn't work properly.

Amazing place for a large number of people.
We had a problem with one of the many toilets and it was dealt with very quickly. The only reason I haven’t given it top marks on comfort is because I feel that the pillows need replacing Would definitely recommend it to friends and family

Great location beautiful big property to suit large families such a shame hot tub was broken and we were able to use it 1 night out of 4 night stay

A great house which is very comfortable and well equipped.
It is within walking distance of a beautiful beach. The management team were very helpful. Electric car owners should be aware that there are very few public chargers on the Yorkshire coast that become very over subscribed during the school summer holidays.

A fantastic holiday cottage for a large group.
The communal areas were a great size and it was nice to have the option to sit outside. Kitchen very well stocked, although missing washing up liquid which would have been useful. Beds were very comfortable and rooms nicely made and clean. We had a maintenance issue on arrival but this was quickly sorted and the communication from our host was excellent. Would definitely recommend

First impressions were positive a large property with lots of bathrooms, enough for our large group.
Nice area in close proximity to other towns /villages. Unfortunately once you see past this you will be left disappointed. The house was very unclean, dirty floors, walls, bathrooms and facilities. Dirty bedding, dirty socks found in 2 of the beds which clearly evidence they had not been changed. Dishwasher that’s doesn’t clean dishes, oven door doesn’t close properly, poor plumbing/ drainage the list goes on. There was a nice sized garden and hot tub. Unfortunately the owners only provide minimal chemicals 2/3 tablets which for the size of the tub, the large number of guests the home accommodates and for a weeks stay this is inadequate resulting in us being unable to use the tub for the majority of the week. Did co tact the owners who said it would cost £150 for further chemicals. We also had other issues like leaking tap etc, this was addressed in a timely manner but other issues were ignored by the owners. Be warned that this place is old and tired and does not appear to be cleaned and maintained. Owners are very dismissive of issues and from reading other reviews on various sites it appears that the issues we experienced are ongoing. I wouldn’t book again there are much nicer venues for similar prices.
Honeysuckle is perfect for large gatherings as there is plenty of space both inside and out.
There are enough bathrooms to easily accommodate everyone, beds are comfortable and kitchen is fully equipped. Lots of information available for places to visit/ things to do. Also space for multiple cars. The customer service was exemplary.

We came to celebrate 3 very special birthdays and our age range was from 6 to 90.
This accommodation is fantastic for large groups with enough space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kitchen and large dining area is great for meal time gatherings and card games. Highly recommend it for large parties you will not be disappointed.

Lovely weekend away for an 80th birthday just what we were looking for.
Plenty of room for 22, can walk to beach. Hot tub great and big enough for few of us. Lovely quiet area Short drive to Filey.

On Entry to the holiday home it was very clean and tidy.
Kitchen Spotless. Bedrooms Spotless. Bathrooms Spotless. Very nice overall feel. We had a bit of a issue with the Hot Tub which was extremely cold @7pm . We was aware that the advise beforehand that the tub will be not at full temp but this was freezing. However Sam (maintenance man) was already on site and we asked him if he could look at it. Straight away he advised something wasn't correct and he then stayed with also travelling to Bridlington to get something to fix it. He drained the Tub and put some hot water in. The electrics then went in the kitchen an Sam was there straight away to assist. Certain bedrooms the heating didnt work and was very cold. But we just moved our guests to another room where it worked. Over all we had an amazing time. And would certainly go back. Thanks for helping me make Birthday memories.

This is a lovely cottage.
The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. For such a large property it was kept very warm with the heating and there were no draughts. As mentioned in another review, although everything else is very clean, the dining room table is sticky and the more you try to clean it the stickier it seems to get. Also we booked for 2 nights and the hot tub must have been switched on just before our 4pm arrival on the Friday night as it was not up to temperature until the following morning which meant we missed using it for 1 of our 2 nights which was disappointing.

We do advise that sometimes the hot tub may not be up to temperature upon arrival as they are emptied, cleaned and re-filled after each guest but I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't hot until the Saturday morning. This is most unusual and not something that we have been made aware of before. The large wooden dining tables as you know are perfectly clean, but I have bougfyts some table cloth sfor guest to use should they wish too so thank you for pointing it out. The cookers were inadequate.
They just didn't cook. 90 minutes to cook burgers! Some of the shower trays were not emptying. Think the drains must have a blockage. Otherwise it was a very nice comfortable stay.

I'm suprised to hear that you felt the cookers were inadequate as this isn't an issue that has ever been raised before and we've had the house full for such occassions like Christmas and New Year where guests have cooked 3 course meals but I will ask the team to investigate. Suburb comfortable property.
Had everything we needed. Ample secure parking. Although outside of Filey in Reighton 3/4 miles away-we walked to Filey via Reighton Sands. A great location to visit Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough, Flamborough Head, Bridlington, Hornsea. A mile or so from the property in Hunmanby is the Piebald Inn-choice of 52 pies. Super food, service and price. Couple of nights meals in Filey-Italian and The White Lodge Hotel, again both great service, food and price. Well done Honeysuckle. 5*

Hunnysuckle itself is a lovley cottage in a quiet rural area with easy accseess to lots of lovely beaches and attractions.
On arrival everything looked lovely and welcoming. As we started to unpack we noticed that the cleaning was not of a good standard . The large table was sticky. The mat in the lounge was stuck to a dirty floor (as if it had just been cleaned around. There were random pieces of confettie sprinkled about the propertie from previous parties including a large plastic butterfly wing of a toy made up in one of the beds. I found dried dog feeces on the lawn that had turned white, so this would of been there for a while. The hottub did not work properly and kept going down so we kept having to fill up to be able to use. The bins outside the properties were over full and the lids jammed open thus causing flies. The fly problem was absolutely horrendous and we went through approx 20 fly tapes in the week we were there changing them daily as they were full. I do however understand that the area suffers with flies at this time of year so maybe some sort of fly screen or curtains could be fitted to the doors etc. We paid a lot to stay in this holiday home and was quite disappointed. With things that could be easily rectified. I would like to say that this is a lovely propertie and if these few problems were straightend out it would make a lovely holiday for future large groups .
Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate it as it means we can continue to improve our guests experience. As you know we have already discussed these issues as you called me directly but happy to reiterate. I have spoken to the cleaning team regarding the comments on the cleanliness of the property. As you can see from previous feedback from our guests, they actually comment on how clean it is so I'm sorry if this was not the case for your stay. The bins are emptied weekly and sometimes if kids are splashing around in the hot tub, the water level will go down which is why we leave a hose pipe to top up if necessary. As you are aware Honeysuckle is in a beautiful rural location, which is part of it's charm. There are fields and a farm in the village so during the particularly hot weather we have had recently perhaps this meant there was more flies around than usual. The previous guests and guest who have been in after have not reported and issues so I suspect it was a very hot week when you visited, but I do think your suggestion of a fly screen is a good one if the issue were to persist. As you say Honeysuckle is in a perfect location for exploring all North Yorkshire has to offer. Kindest Regards Julie

The house is beautiful, we had an absolutely brilliant stay.
The facilities are exactly what we needed and more. The rooms were all spotless, tidy and welcoming. The kitchen had absolute everything we needed and more and the seating area was brilliant. Outside was excellent clean and spacious and the hot tub was excellent.

It was a lovely cottage a perfect place to meet family and celebrate but there were a few things that could have made it even better.
The oven was dirty as were the trays for use in the oven. There were glasses with lipstick on them and cobwebs above the cupboards in the kitchen. We could have done with a hosepipe to top up the hot-tub, as it was very windy, when the jets were switched on it blew the water everywhere except in the hot-tub. Small details but things that would we would expect to be done.
