"Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location - close to coast and the Moors."
Lots of lovely walks/runs (tough hills though) near the cottage to explore especially the woods! The cottage is extremely comfortable and very clean and warm. The garden is a big plus just a shame the weather meant we didn’t get to use it as much as hoped. Would definitely recommend.

"Wonderful holiday property."
The property was warm and spacious and all the furniture and beds comfortable. The garden was spectacular, we were there over Easter and it was in full colour. The bedding and towels felt luxurious and the showers had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The property is a great place to spend time in good or poor weather as there is also a fantastic/massive television to enjoy on a rainy day and plenty of space to spread out. The village is charming, we walked our dog regularly over to the football/cricket pitch to exercise but for all other needs you will need to use your car. We have already rebooked to return in the summer.

"An extremely comfortable, warm and well equipped cottage in an ideal location for touring the area."
We had just one suggestion to make with the owner which was to provide a DVD/Bluray player. We left a note for her.
We would certainly stay here again if we are back in the area.

"Better than the photos."
Lovely garden. Great that it was opposite the church. Easy parking and so close to the epic North Yorkshire Moors. Owner helpful and quick to respond to minor queries. Sykes quotes full price upfront unlike Airbnb who wait to the last click to add their hefty service charge.

"Cheriton cottage is the most idyllic place we have ever stayed; within a 10 - 15 minute drive you can be in the midst of the amazing views of the Yorkshire Moors or, going in the other direction, you can walk for miles at the fabulous Yorkshire Coast."
The cottage itself is set in the quaint village of Moorsholm - so pretty and extremely well kept by the friendly community who live there. However, the nearest shop and pub are a short drive away.
Cheriton is nothing short of a luxury home from home. You can tell it has been tastefully renovated throughout and no expense has been spared on the fixtures and fittings! We found that the cottage was really well equipped and spotlessly clean - we especially loved the luxurious bedding and the oversized soft fluffy towels. The shower was amazing too, although the water gets extremely hot so be careful! The garden is so pretty and even though it was too chilly for us to sit out, we could relax in the garden room at the back of the cottage with a book/newspaper and a cuppa (or glass of wine!)
Honestly, if it's a relaxing stay you are wanting with close (driving) access to the Moors & Coast, you will not be disappointed here.
Huge thanks to the owners for a lovely week, we shall return!

"This Cottage is 5 star."
Located in a very quiet village just across from St Marys Church. Car parking opposite the cottage. Very comfortable lounge, excellent kitchen facilities, fridge freezer, washing machine. (an airer would have been handy). Garden which would be lovely in the summer months. Comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms.
Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

"Cheriton Cottage is a beautifully presented cottage in a great location for exploring the Yorkshire coast."
The pictures are reflective of the property and we’ll maintained garden.
We did however find the fact that no TVs have standard signals quite annoying as it relied too n you having all the screen mirroring / casting devices and associates Apps and accounts for channels. Even with all of this (thankfully for us), the signal was poor at times. We feel having a TV with at least routine free view channels is a basic, unless otherwise included in the listing. My parents would never have managed with the requirements and there is no guide available.

We managed to explore a lot of the coastline from the cottage. The kitchen could do with more utensils and pans, but the garden is absolutely fabulous! We had a smashing holiday and the weather was very kind!

"Cheriton Cottage is a beautiful base to explore the stunning North East coastline."
The standard of accommodation is outstanding with a beautiful garden to relax in.
We explored the local area of Saltburn, Sandsend, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Runswick Bay and Falling Foss and enjoyed great weather and the stunning beaches.
There is a local cricket club where you can walk your dog.
The only negative is the church opposite ringing the bells at bizarre times of the night, 11am/3am/4am. We got used to it, but you may want to take some earplugs!
Overall, we would highly recommend Cheriton Cottage and will be back.

"Lovely cottage and beautiful garden, sadly let down by previous guests with dogs who had not picked up after them in the garden, this was a concern for us as we have two children."
In terms of cleanliness, the dishwasher needs a thorough clean, especially the seals and filters. These were clogged when we arrived with grease and food remains. Also, high tog duvets far too thick in the hot July weather. This meant we had to strip all the beds on arrival, so we could just use the duvet covers. Owner should consider providing guests with smaller, light-weight duvets in the summer months. Kitchen has only very basic equipment and utensils, e.g. no fruit bowl, fine for us, but maybe a consideration for other guests.

"The cottage is so well presented, the decor and equipment are top class throughout."
You don’t just get given cheap plates and cups, there has obviously been a lot of care and attention gone in to providing quality furnishings and kitchen equipment, it made us feel luxurious! (I’d love a list of where you got everything. from?!) Walking through the door were so ‘at home’ immediately, it has that feel to the place.
The conservatory is a lovely place to spend the days before retiring to the cosy lounge. The garden is very well kept with lovely seating areas and table. Roadside parking could be a concern but not here it is so quiet and peaceful and no problem. Easy access to the A roads but far enough away not to realise!
It would have been good to have a bit more local recommendations for beaches or things to do in the welcome book but I guess we have wi-if

"The cottage is absolutely perfect."
It’s just been converted and everything is new and very well thought out. The bed was very comfortable and the sitting areas have nice chairs and settees. The village is very quiet and we found everybody friendly. Although there is no shop it is not far from all facilities. There were good walks for our dog and unlike where we live it’s pretty flat.
Unfortunately the weather don’t allow us much use of the garden which was a shame at it is a very pleasant place with apple trees and lots of cottage garden plants. We hope to return.
