Our second stay here did not disappoint. Jean Reviewed by JeanApr 2022 "A lovely cottage, everything you could possibly need." Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owners available if needed but did not interfere. Would have liked to let my dog off lead on the field, this was the only drawback. Would happily stay again. Reviewed by PaulineApr 2022 "Beautiful cottage in a great location." Ample parking. Was very warm and cosy with ample room inside, especially liked the separate shower and toilet downstairs. Great walk down to the lake with the dog. Would love to visit again in summer and enjoy the outside area Reviewed by JanetDec 2021 "We enjoyed our week in Bransburton." The cottage was beautiful ,clean and comfortable. Very handy for all the local attractions, even the weather was kind. Would recommend it to anyone. Reviewed by JeanSep 2021 "5 Star holiday cottage." Very friendly owners on site if needed. Cottage very well furnished to extremely high standard. Would definately recommend and hope to return. Reviewed by JonSep 2021 "The whole experience from selecting and placing our request and then payment was simple and straight-forward." The property was as described and situated in an area to allow us to visit many locations in and around the cottage. We visited many of the local eateries and found the service, staff, selection and quality of food and price to meet all pockets. The owners being on site enabled us to chat about visitor hotspots and where best to avoid at certain times of the day. Covid controls still existed and they made us feel safer. We would recommend Skyes and the property we chose with out hesitation. Alan and Barbara live next door and are always on hand to answer queries and give advice on best beaches etc. The cottage was scrupulously clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped. My friend and I took our two dogs and there is a lovely, accessable field with a pretty pond at the back of the house for early morning/evening walks. Highly recommend this exceptional place, we will be back! Reviewed by RebeccaAug 2021 "Lovely Cottage with very friendly owners." It is a good location for beach holidays with children or walking the coast with a dog. I would have no problem recommending it to family or friends, we also had wonderful weather, a lovely break after a winter of lockdown. Reviewed by PatriciaJun 2021 "A great few days had by all, great weather." The cottage was comfortable, well maintained and clean. Situated in a quiet rural area but within easy reach busier places if you want them. We'd go back. Reviewed by SusanMay 2021 "Lovely cottage." Very well equipped. The owners were very helpful and friendly. We had a lovely week despite the weather. Would rebook again. Only drawback for us was the double bed which was a bit short for him(6ft 2) but as there was only the two of us he found one of the single beds was fine for him. Reviewed by GlynisMay 2021 "We loved staying in Pipistrelle and just wish it could have been for longer!" The cottage and setting were lovely, and the house nicely appointed and sparkly clean. It was in a nice location between Leven and Brandesburton and good for access to the seaside and Beverley. The walks (or runs) nearby are perfect for anyone looking for a taste of English country life. Reviewed by RichardMay 2021 "We were central for everywhere we wanted to go and the beaches were close by, other members of the family were in another cottage so we met up every day and had a great time." Reviewed by MarilynOct 2020 "The cottage is lovely and in a fantastic location for great walks, quiet beaches and a rainy day trip to York was within an hour." The hosts are incredibly welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only criticism, which was unique to us and you cant tell from the pictures is that the house is next to a 60mph B road, with the main bedroom window opening onto the road, which seemed to have quite a bit of traffic from 7.30am. So if you are an early riser then this won't be a problem, but if you are hoping for a bit of a lie in on your holiday (as we were) then we found that element a bit frustrating. Other than that, the cottage is lovely and in a fantastic location with a nice meadow and pond behind the house, with plenty of space for the kids to roam. There's even a resident Barn Owl which was a real highlight! Reviewed by MattJul 2020 "Lovely, spacious, well equipped cottage, very comfortable and welcoming, and very good for the price." Beautiful surroundings and very friendly owners. The area is wonderful with lots of gorgeous and relatively deserted beaches, beautiful scenery and interesting towns. Well worth a visit!
