Apartment 6 Bay View

The apartment overall was well furnished and maintained.

The main bedroom and shower room were both great but the twin beds creaked at the slightest movement. The kitchen was well stocked but the fridge was very small and the freezer area useful only for ice cubes. Parking in school holisays was challenging but the parking permit very helpful when you could find a suitable parking space. The lighting in the stairwell could be improved. Very quiet apartment with fabulous view. Great for a couple with small children.

Walked into the apartment and immediately stunned by the modern crisp finish throughout.

It is an absolutely beautiful apartment and has everything you could need for your stay, from tea and coffee to books and games. Parking permits supplied are really helpful however in the busier season, it was difficult finding somewhere to park, especially when arriving back in the evening. The only thing we noted was that the stunning view out of the windows across the bay was only really visible with the windows open. They really could have done with a clean prior to arrival, however given the location, we understand that it's probably really difficult to keep them clean!

After spending a week in apartment 6 we would definitely recommend it.

It was in the perfect location on the quieter side of Scarbrough. It was very clean & really comfortable, & It had all the equipment we needed. I had emailed the owner prior to our visit and he was very quick to respond & most helpful….. I would definitely return again another time.

Lovely well appointed and clean apartment with superb views.

The car parking permits were invaluable and we were able to park close to the property each day. Only negative comment is that the sofa and armchair could do with replacing as they sag and are not very comfortable

We love apartment 6 - this was our fourth holiday there - we felt as if we were the first users of the new microwave!

The view of the bay is wonderful. BUT the tv leaves a lot to be desired. It's impossible to get it to react to instructions in less than 5 minutes and finding anything on catch-up is virtually impossible. We blamed the terrain - perhaps it's due to the hills - but the actual reception is fine. We'd have welcomed some salt and pepper. The sofa has seen better days - it sags in the middle and isn't comfortable at all. Otherwise this is our home-from-home.

A comfortable apartment in a great location with a fantastic view of North Bay.

It was a great base for walks from the apartment or for exploring the area. We loved staying there and didn’t want to leave.

We both loved this apartment.

Perfect for what we wanted. The only downside was the dirty windows. Which definitely spoilt the view of the bay. (But we understand that its a problem on that coast)

It was well positioned with a panoramic sea view.

Everything was clean and well presented, would be pleased to come again, we enjoyed Scarborough and it’s facilities. Thank you.

We had a brilliant four days with beautiful weather and throughly enjoyed watching the surfers early morning and late afternoon from our apartment. The apartment was spotlessly clean, central for visiting Scarborough town and well equipped with everything you need. We had no problem parking just outside the apartment using the ‘parking permit’ which was extremely useful. We would definitely recommend and will be returning.

The apartment was a perfect base for our stay, with everything we needed and the added bonus of nearby amenities and attractions.

We really appreciated the thoughtful extras; cosy blankets, a games box, and a lovely selection of books to read or borrow. As an avid reader, I would have loved to know about the book collection in advance, as I’d have happily brought some along to donate. We enjoyed playing the games and even completed a puzzle together after our daily adventures, which was a lovely The only challenge we faced was with parking. Towards the end of our stay, when we travelled further afield, we returned to find no easily accessible spaces nearby and had to pay for parking elsewhere. A completed example permit would have been helpful, as the instructions on it were a little unclear. One small practical issue was the window in the twin room when we arrived it was open at the top and we couldn’t close it with the rod provided (a combination of height and strength on our part

The accommodation was fantastic, only downside no washing machine.

The view of the sea and location was amazing. The flat was beautifully decorated and very clean. Parking near accommodation was a bit of a nightmare, especially for me as I'm disabled and cannot walk far. Apart from these minor issues, recommend highly.

On arrival the apartment was lovely, very clean, nicely decorated.

Had a small well presented kitchen, oven was very good, could do with some baking trays though (only thing missing really from the kitchen). Beds were comfortable, and had additional throws if needed, pillows & mattress had protectors on, but pillows were quite thin. Bathroom was immaculate, huge walk in shower with two shower heads. However the apartment is run off a hot water cylinder and we found that the water ran cold half way through the third person showering (you then have to wait 30/40 minutes for it to heat up again). Basically, shower quickly! The only thing that was an issue, which was quickly resolved by the owners, is that the windows were quite dirty on the outside. Literally sent a message the first night and window cleaners were out the next morning, really good response. The view is absolutely stunning, so needed clean windows! The apartment is in a quiet part of the street, we had no issues with noise, etc. it’s very centrally located, 10 minute walk to South Shore (where amusement arcades, restaurants, fair, etc is located) 10 minute walk to shops. 10 min walk down to North Beach which the apartment overlooks. Lots of lovely other beaches near as well, I would recommend Clayton Beach. 25 min drive to Robin Hoods Bay, 35 min drive to Whitby. It really is a great apartment, good location with stunning views. The only negative is parking. This is on a first come first served basis and was a bit of a nightmare, one evening it took 2 hours to find a space, but this was on a change over day (Friday). Parking permit is provided so it doesn’t cost anything, but remember to check the zone you park in matches the zone on the permit, otherwise the permit is not valid. Overall I would definitely recommend the apartment, we had a lovely stay.

i listed numerous, previously ignored points e.

g. no washing machine...so not suitable for family with children needing clean clothes. no shower mat 4 slippery cubicle. mirrors and coat hooks, all at adult height only Antiquated T.V. no wall clock No recycling facilities either inside flat or outside/ No basics for cooking e.g, salt and pepper...

No clothes/general storage at all in small bedroom.

Hooks on bedroom doors would help. Heating was off on arrival (December) Cold flat. No separate re-cycling bins.. Otherwise a well presented apartment.

Very pleasant apartment with lovely views.

Ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. 4 adults would be a bit tight - the second bedroom only has room for the two beds although there is ample storage space underneath them. However, there is a large hanging rail with plenty of hangers in the main bedroom. For anyone who prefers to buy their own food rather than rely on take-aways the fridge is a little small and icebox very limited. No freezer. However, shops are just a few minutes away. For anyone who doesn't know Scarborough (and we didn't) this flat is facing North Bay - much quieter than South Bay with it's amusement arcades etc. The parking permits provided were extremely helpful - we were able to park for free outside the apartment without an issue, but obviously at a quiet time of year. Owners were responsive and helpful via mobile and the place was spotlessly clean and well equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery etc. Lots of games for any children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the storms !

A beautiful apartment with everything you could wish for.

The books and games are a lovely touch and we're enjoyed by all, particularly 'Say what you see' game. Everything was clean and beautifully presented. Definitely will stay here again. Only thing which could have improved it would be some kind of hanging rail in the small bedroom as we all had to hang our clothes in the main bedroom (didn't want clothes just folded in the drawers under the bed). Maybe a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towel on near the shower and near the sink. Very minor things I know and certainly won't stop us returning. Thank you for a lovely stay

We loved the apartment; the lovely view, the high end fittings, the furniture, and the little touches like the bookshelf, the games, and the one touch bedside lamps.

1/.Single bed is positioned so that between mattress & wall THERE IS A FT. WIDE GAP DOWN WHICH I FELL TWICE DURING THE NIGHT WHILST ASLLEP. 2/. Bed STORAGE DRAW is BROKEN 3/. SHOWER WAS RED HOT & tap adjustment DID NOT ALTER SETTING. 4/. l also SLIPPED IN THE SHOWER because there was NO SHOWER MAT so l went & bought one! 5/. KITCHEN TAP WAS HANGING OFF 6/. Appartment has NO WASHING MACHINE which is ESSENTIAL IF CHILDREN ARE STAYING)! 7/. COMPLIMENTARY BISCUITS WERE COMPLETELY STALE ! 8/. " SALT & PEPPER were just 2 TINY 'cafe' sachets * SO l added these BASIC ESSENTIALS to MY shopping LIST!. 9/. The OVEN CLOCK NEEDED SETTING FOR OVEN TO WORK. There was NO INFO 4 this & we UNSUCCESSFULLY spent an HOUR trying to amend it! 10/. ALL COAT HOOKS & SHELVES were TOO HIGH to reach for anyone UNDER 5 FT. 11/ Our reason for a second visit was because of THE SEA VIEW which is its big draw.

Bathroom shower was uncontrollable-it was hot, very hot with the cold feed not working Single bed uncomfortable

Very good stay any problem we had was very quickly solved by the contacts really enjoyed our stay The only comment we would make if you want to read and there are plenty of books thank you the main lights have to be on which is a waste of energy, and disturbs others as they are bright our suggestion and if we owned the property this is what we would do Either an up lighter which would be very good or a table lamp This is a positive suggestion not a complaint!

Great apartment

Just 1 small point.

The bed in main bedroom needs to be bigger. My husband and myself are only small and even we found it too small to the point he ended up staying in 1 of the single beds. Comfortable but to small.

great views and clean and comfortable love the extra little touches with board games and netflix,only things missing if being picky were tongs for cooking,full length mirror and shower could do with a slip mat and shower fan wasnt working but will 100 % come back and stay.

Beautiful apartment, very clean,beautiful views needs little tweaks, like lower the mirrors dishcloth in the kitchen that’s all, would stay again and would recommend it

As I have said before the owner should have a couple nights themselves in the apartment and read all comments made by other clients they will then realise what they need to supply to make the apartment more comfortable for their clients And are essential items for a basic stay.

Some kind person had placed the envelope with the parking permits on top of a wall cupboard behind the cornice so they could not be seen I had to ring the owner and after a thorough search in every cupboard by standing on a chair we found them .where normally they would be left on the worktop in clear view My only other concern is that items which were loose and damaged at our first stay are still damaged ie (Toilet Seat ) and rinse aid dispenser in dishwasher The above is meant as constructive criticism we have had a wonderful stay but feel a few little items would vastly improve the experience of the apartment and clients stay

This is a very comfortable well fitted accommodation with fantastic view of the bay.

The place was brilliant couldn’t be better Great view manager very helpful Can’t wait to go back Not a criticism but In our opinion a safety handle and Matt in the shower would be good for older visitors safety

This apartment did not disappoint, the view over the bay was stunning.

The apartment was well appointed and although outside it was freezing, we were snug inside. Would definitely come back again but I would imagine that unlike January parking would be more problematic in summer.

This is an excellent property with a stunning view of Scarborough's North Bay - exactly as shown in the photo online.

We found the beds to be comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. I'd recommend providing a cafetiere but otherwise the apartment's very well-appointed. It would be helpful if instructions for the oven and hob were available plus the info that the 'parking disc' is not circular - but with the exception of these minor points it's totally recommended.

This is a perfect apartment overlooking the sea everything you need is catered for.

Lovely apartment very comfortable could do with a lamp in the living room and a long mirror but overall would highly recommend.

The apartment was very clean and in a great location with a good sea view.

Great walk-in shower. It would have been 10 out of 10 but a few very little things that were missing but would be useful. 1. A full length mirror. 2. An extra shelf in the shower for shower gel and shampoo bottles. 3. Wall clock. 4. Toilet brush. 5. Iron and board. Television was also very slow. But apart from those little things 9.5 out of 10.

Everything was exactly as described and very clean.

We would have liked a full length mirror and oven gloves but it was an excellent break away.
