  • "We had a fabulous holiday in Scarborough."

The property at Weydale Ave was brilliant. The location was perfect. We were so close to the beach, Peasholm Park and the miniature railway and there were some great pubs and restaurants within walking distance. We could park right outside the flat although there was a large car-park very close by. The beds were really comfy and it was great to have two bathrooms for our family. There was a very well equipped kitchen and a spacious family room. The apartment was very clean and really well decorated. We really appreciated the welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a holiday in Scarborough whether it was a family with children or adults looking for a holiday near the surrounding North Yorkshire Moors National Park. We are planning to come to Scarborough again in the near future and would definitely want to stay in his apartment. Thank you to the owners and cleaners for such a wonderful apartment. The family had a really great holiday we would have liked to stay longer

Thank you for taking time to give your feedback. It always is good to hear that our visitors have enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable stay at the apartment It sounds as if you managed to enjoy the North Bay location and the local amenities it has to offer If you do come back to Scarborough in the near future we would be very happy to see you again Property Owner

  • "A spectacular apartment in what we consider to be the best part of Scarborough as the North Bay has the nicest beach and facilities whilst being only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area in South Bay."

The apartment was beautifully appointed and had everything that we could have possibly needed for our weeks stay with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and (most importantly) 3 year old granddaughter where we built many memories together. Being on the top floor was not a problem for us and apart from the initial unloading of our cars was easily assimilated into our daily 'workout' of trips to and from the beach. The added bonus being that there was a pleasant cross breeze through the apartment which was much appreciated on the hotter evenings. I Would highly recommend Weydale Avenue and we will certainly look to book again

Thank you very much for your feedback about the apartment. It makes all our hard work at ensuring all our guests have a relaxing holiday worthwhile. We chose the location based on the fact that North Bay has a lot to offer but is a quieter beach than South Bay. However South Bay is a short drive or walk away and has lots to offer for families and is more of a tourist area. We hope to see you again at our apartment Property Owner

  • "Lovely spacious apartment very clean with everything we needed could do with ..."

Lovely spacious apartment very clean with everything we needed could do with dishwasher and washing machine putting on facilities list there is alot of steps up to the apartment and the sea view is sticking your head out of the side window also be prepared for the open air theatre blasting some music out some nights and a children's nursery next door i don't drive so we found the bus service to scarborough south bay handy and to the castle we caught the train to sealife centre in peasholm Park and had a good holiday

Thank you very much for your comments. The comment about listing the deishwasher and washing machine on facilities is a very good point and will now be rectified. We dont mention a sea view from the apartment as the sea view is seen just as you exit the flat on the ground floor. We have not had any comments about the open air theatre before, I presume it may have been that a particular concert was louder than normal. The nursery has not been mentioned by previous guests but that is something we can try and deal with . However we are glad you had a good holiday and I know the bus to south bay is a very nice trip. We do hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "The flat was beautiful, clean and well equipped."

Just a very short distance from the open air theatre and North Bay it was ideally situated. There was off road parking but it gets busy especially if there is a concert on. The car park is just over the road from the flat. Only downside was the man a few doors away who obviously has too much time on his hands and watches where you park and shouts at you from his window for not leaving enough space. That wouldn’t put me off staying there and would most definitely stay there again.

Thank you for your very positive feedback We have never had a problem in parking outside, however as there are large public car parks very close to the apartment we hope you didn't have a problem. We are glad you enjoyed our holiday home and we picked the location because it was close to North Bay. We do hope we see you again Property Owner

  • "This is a fantastic property located about 5 min walk from the North beach."

It had everything we needed for our week stay. I just want to point out how clean it was too, it's maintained to a high level. The parking outside is great, but as the spaces do get taken quickly, there is a car park is only a minutes walk from the flat. If you time it right and out all day you will likely park roadside no issue. It had a very cozy and relaxing feel to it and beautifully decorated. My only issue was the internet, it was very slow and streaming on the TV was affected by this. If we come back to Scarborough we would look to stay here again.

Many thanks for your very positive feedback, we always feel pleased when we know our guests have had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We have taken on board your comment about the internet and we will check the system and upgrade as necessary. We really hope you will return if you are back in Scarborough any time in the future. • "Weydale Avenue is an immaculate property in a superb location for exploring both Scarborough and the surrounding areas."

It is comfortable, very clean and the owners have provided everything that you may need when staying away from home, it really is a home from home. The very generous welcome pack of milk, teabags, biscuits etc on arrival was a lovely touch so thank you for that too. Although the beds are comfortable, we struggled a bit with the pillows, however that's maybe more a personal choice thing, can't please everyone. Flat 5 is in a secure, pleasant building but it is on the third floor, right at the top and there are quite a few stairs to get to it so it really wouldn't be a good choice for anyone that isn't very mobile but if you are, then you would struggle to get better than this gorgeous apartment. It doesn't have the best views, however if you lean out of one of the two double doors and look to your left, you can get a view of the sea as you are pretty close to the seafront, just a short walk away. Peasholm park is also just down the road for a lovely walk and you can easily walk in to Scarborough. There are plenty of places to eat on the doorstep, also well within walking distance. We would recommend the Tunny Catch, a pub at the end of the road. There's plenty of parking outside the apartment and a car park just across the green in front. We found getting a parking space in June pretty easy, however be prepared that in high season and indeed as we found out, when there's a concert on at the open air theatre, parking does get very difficult from about mid afternoon. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Weydale (i really could happily live there permanently), it felt like a home from home and we would love to return there again sometime in the future. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing stay in your cosy apartment.

Thank you for your kind comments. We list the apartment as second floor as this is the correct name given in the UK as the building has a ground floor, first floor and second floor. We are glad you enjoyed the apartment as we visit regularly to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. Your recommendation for a local pub was appreciated because other guests will benefit from that information. Also glad you enjoyed the area as it is close to the beach, the park and the open air theatre which gives everyone choices. We are so glad you felt at home and we hope to see you again if you are in the area. Property Owner

  • "Superb location, fantastic standard of property."

Could do with a lift to apt 5.

Thank You for your feedback, it is always appreciated.. Obviously being on the second floor does involve going up some stairs, but when we bought the flat we noted the stairs were well lit, clean and wide with a handrail and in short even flights and not steep. The building does not permit the inclusion of a lift. We are glad you liked the location, we did choose the flat based in its proximity to the Park and the beach. We always work at making a holiday home comfortable and a relaxing environment and your comments made us feel our hard work paid off. Thank you We do hope we see you again. Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay at Weydale Avenue."

The area is beautiful and the apartment is lovely! The apartment has a range of really nice furniture, sofas, a nice chair, tables, a dining table with chairs ( something that can be difficult to find when I've looked for other accommodation and is especially appreciated if you're in a group). The beds are really comfortable and all the rooms are really nicely decorated. There are plenty of towels and bed linen and blankets. The main bathroom has a bath and shower which i loved and there is also an ensuite bathroom to the main bedroom, all very nicely decorated with nice fixtures and fittings, everything was very clean too. The sea can be seen from the side of the property in the distance when you go outside and also from the doors in the living room ( if you stick your head out!) which thankfully you can open, it was nice to sit here in the living room with the doors open to let the fresh air and sun in. I had struggled to find any properties with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which also had nice surroundings and Weydale has this and a lovely neighborhood. We went to the sea and nearby Peasholm Park which was lovely and both are only a short walk away. There are many local shops and takeaways in the area too. I would recommend CarolsPlaice for ordering fish and chips to be delivered to your accommodation in Scarborough. The castle isn't far either and we drove to see it, it's a lovely day out. Parking outside wasn't a problem and we parked opposite the property on the road. We also really appreciated the welcome gifts left for us and i thought this was such a lovely thought! We had forgotten to bring milk and when we arrived there was milk in the fridge, tea bags ( Yorkshire of course!) biscuits, Tea cakes, an Easter Egg, and Prosseco. I loved the attention to detail and that everything was associated with Yorkshire too. Thank you so much to the owners for such a lovely stay and we will be back again x Emma

Thank you so much for your feedback on your stay at Weydale Avenue. It is so nice when all our hard work at making the apartment a comfortable and relaxing holiday home is appreciated. The closeness to the seaside and Peaseholm Park made us choose this particular spot. The two bathrooms are definitely very usefull in a 3 bedroom apartment as are comfy beds, a good nights sleep is absolutely essential on holiday. We hope to see you again Property Owner

  • "Flat was very comfortable and the kitchen was also very well equipped."

Location is good and walking distance from the sea front. Parking outside was convenient. My only recommendation would be for thicker blinds/curtains to be put into the smallest bedroom as the building next door has a security floodlight that faces the room at night! Overall, would recommend and stay here again.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Your comments were very much appreciated and we will arrange to have appropriate curtains/blinds put into the small bedroom as soon as possible . We hope to see you again Property Owner
