  • "WOW! This house is amazing, absolutely perfect for our large family gathering."

Our family of educators have been going to a house every October half term for the last 20 years and each year our family grows so we need bigger houses. This one is outstanding, with lots of rooms to spread out and find a bit of space and quiet if needed. It was super clean and very well equipped for all our cooking needs. The bedrooms were just right and beds comfy. As it was our 50th wedding year, we got the largest one with the lovely 4 poster bed! The park opposite was lovely too, great little pitch and putt which the kids loved and lots of wildlife. The boating lake was well used and a great little craft day was laid on by the council. The North beach was just a few minutes stroll and the South beach was a lovely walk along the sea prom or , if like me walking that far is difficult, the open top bus is always available. The miniature railway was also just a couple of minutes walk away and did a great Halloween ride. I would really struggle to find anything negative about this house, its facilities or location, but a couple of our party have hot tubs at home and suggested that chlorine tablets were needed as, after a couple of days, the water was a bit foggy, but I would imagine that would be dangerous if you were inexperienced with this. We will certainly return to this gorgeous place but our numbers are reducing as several of the grandchildren are now at university so a slightly smaller house next year! Thanks to everyone involved, the owners, the cleaners, Sykes etc. for making this such a special treat for us all.

Thanks for the review pleased you enjoyed your stay. we use bromine tablets in the hot tub. Property Owner

  • "We had a super time."

Plenty of space for 4 generations of the family. The children could play and make noise without disturbing the great grandmas. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook for 15 of us. The piano ( in tune with itself but not concert pitch) was a well used bonus for our musical family.

  • "Having only one fridge freeezer in the kitchen area limited the storage for a large group."

The fridge in the bar was out of action and the one in the toilet of the 1st floor lounge had limitations due to its situation . A separate laundry / storage area would be ideal. The house is very welcoming , comfortable and in an ideal situation.

Thanks for the feedback we have now fitted a new large bottle cooler in the bar. Property Owner

The house was a brilliant place to celebrate with all the family. Every bedroom having en suites was great. The lounge and dining rooms were suitable for the number of occupants. The piano has some hammers missing so limited the quality of music played. All in all a fantastic place and fulfilled our needs. Came home with lots of treasured memories.

  • "This is the third year we have spent at the house with our party of 16 friends."

It’s very comfortable & well equipped. It is fairly unique in that each bedroom or bedroom suite has an ensuite bathroom. In the UK it’s difficult to find properties with a bathroom for each bedroom. Whenever there has been a problem with the property we have been impressed by the willingness & speed the owners have reacted to ensuring an issue is quickly resolved. We would highly recommend this house.

Reality better than the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Beds comfortable. Plenty of utensils and equipment in the kitchen. Couple of showers didn’t work properly we didn’t complain as there were plenty of others to use so it wasn’t a problem. No shortage of hot water for baths and showers. Hot tub a real success. Definitely recommend and will stay again. Location was great. Thank you we had a perfect holiday.

  • "This is a superb house that really fitted our needs and made for a lovely extended family gathering."

The piano especially was a well-used bonus! Our youngsters also enjoyed use of the hot tub and games of hide and seek in all the various rooms! The house is very well equipped, lovely and warm, with constant hot water and plenty of home comforts. One addition that would be useful is a coatstand or some coat hooks in the front porch, as the kids tended to offload coats and shoes there so as not to tread dirt through the house. Also useful might be some foam covering or equivalent on the outer edge of the fire escape at head height, as one of our family had a near miss on that account. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.

Few things need attention, downstairs bedroom musty smell also shower overflows had to take drain cover out. Tried to use vacuum but not working. Bin in kitchen filthy had to clean out.Microwave needed cleaning.Outside in car park needs a light as very dangerous, especially near fire escape, husband nearly hit his head.Master bedroom toilet brush and holder were both filthy.Overall a lovely house but some attention needed in cleaning. Would stay again. Location fantastic and thanks for the welcome gift on arrival.

Thanks for the feedback There is a motion-sensitive light in the car park, unfortunately, this was turned off on a switch inside the house this switch has now been clearly marked so it doesn't happen again. The hoover was in need of new parts which have now been fitted, and we are going to be taking a closer look at the cleaning in future but for any problems, the housekeeper lives locally to the property and could have rectified these problems quickly. We were a party of 20 and I struggled to find somewhere which had sufficient rooms to include single friends however Yardley Manor was perfect. Lots of living space although we tended to use the kitchen, dining room, small sitting room as the space flowed well, so we enjoyed drinks and cooking as a group. Every room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Lovely location opposite Peasholm Park and plenty of parking spaces at the property. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We were offered compensation for our inconvenience. The property is very conveniently located and is very spacious with areas to allow separation of children and adults. We felll on our feet when we rented Yardley Manor for our family holiday. Obviously it's been a long time since we've all been able to be together like this, the house was exactly what we all needed. The house far exceeded our expectations and was by far the best equipped let we've ever had. There were a few options for social space for the adults and teenagers so nobody ever felt like they were on top of each other. From a geographical point of view it had everything going for it. Peasholm Park just across the road, the beach five minutes walk away, town centre was 30 minutes walk. Just a great house in a great location. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a large house for a family holiday.
