The property

This detached cottage, just north of Withernsea, on the East Yorkshire Coast if full of character, with its exposed beams and a mezzanine floor that is perfect for families and small groups.

The ground floor consists of an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room which overlooks a mature garden.

There is a large woodburning stove and TV, making the living space particularly cosy for spending a cosy evening with loved ones.

The downstairs bathroom is equipped with bath, power shower, WC and basin.

Upstairs there is a mezzanine lounge with second TV, games area and sofa bed which overlooks the ground floor of the property.

The Stables has one large double bedroom and one twin bedroom each equipped with a large Velux window offering plenty of light.

Outside of the property is a garden, consisting of a lawn area with two patios and a BBQ/pizza oven area that is ideal for family dining.

There are two pubs in the village of Roos itself, and the seaside town of Withernsea has a large selection of microbrew puds and restaurants/takeaways.

In the surrounding area of Holdernes, you will find both rural countryside and spectacular bird colonies that make perfect days out for families.

There are also plenty of indoor activities in the area too, such as the lighthouse tours in Withernsea and world class museums in Hull itself which is just twenty five minutes away.

Enjoy home cooked meals in The Stable's well equipped kitchen, or sample the delicious fish and chips that the Yorkshire coast is so rightly famous for.

The historic village of Roos is situated just 1 mile from the Yorkshire coast in the quiet region of Holderness. This cosy coastal haven has a relaxed atmosphere - the perfect location for a family break. The open rural landscape offers magnificent, sweeping views and wonderful walking from the door of the Stables. The surrounding villages offer some historical landmarks including a Napoleonic fort, lighthouse museum and some of most wonderful bird colonies on the mainland UK with puffins, gannets and wetland birds within a short drive. The Victorian town of Withernsea offers sweeping sand and pebble beaches with a lovely range of amusements and traditional fish and chip shops. Just 10 miles away, the wildlife sanctuary of Spurn Point provides a unique wildlife sanctuary while the high chalk cliffs of Bempton and Flamborough head are some of the highlights of the East Coast of England. Local historical houses and gardens offer delightful alternatives to the coast with magnificent collections of art and natural history collections at Burton Constable and Burton Agnes being two of the finest houses in the UK.
