  • "Foreman's House is a wonderful cottage."

    It was very easy to find and we were welcomed by the owner. It is located on a working farm but that did not intrude on our stay. The kitchen is large and comes with lots of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. The kitchen table easily accommodates 10 diners, and also doubles as a board games/drawing table. The two lounges provide space for adults and children. The bedrooms are of ample size. It is a great location to visit Scarborough, Bridlington, Flamborough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    The house is spacious, comfortable, and the kitchen was well‑stocked for holiday cooking. We had everything we needed for a great stay. The owners were very responsive, although we didn’t encounter any issues during our visit. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely choose this place.

    Tranquil location. Close to beach (but requires drive). Garden looked bigger in photos but still good size for children to play. House very well maintained. Host lovely with lots of local knowledge to share. Absolutely amazing place for family holiday in rural location but very close to sandy beaches.

  • "This is a beautiful house which I would highly recommend."

    Peaceful and relaxing - in spite of being on a working farm - it's set in beautiful countryside within minutes of the wonderful east Yorkshire coast. The house is spacious and very well maintained, the kitchen is very well equipped; the garden is enclosed and well kept. The owner greeted us on arrival and had contacted us prior to our stay to check requirements. Fresh flowers in the downstairs rooms; tea bags, milk and cake - wonderful after a long journey!

  • "A gorgeous large and comfortable house."

    Set in a quiet location with lovely countryside views. Very well equipped with great WiFi. Owner, June Sellers contacted us prior to our stay asking if we had any specific requirements. Met and greeted us on arrival with accommodation and information on the area. She also came over to say farewell. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. We would love to return in the future.

  • "We have had a fabulous week at this lovely house which provided everything we needed."

    Everything was of high quality and was much appreciated. We were a group of mature friends who go away together every year to a holiday house and this fitted the bill exactly. In the country but not far to the seaside, harbour and shops. We managed to fit in so much …. Walking and sight seeing and visiting places of interest. Even the weather was not as bad as anticipated! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere providing everything you need, whether family or friends. A big thank you to June (the owner) who made us so welcome with a yummy cake and milk for a cuppa and vases of flowers…..perfect thank you.

    The house was spotless with all possible amenities. Kitchen space was perfect for long lazy dinners. Garden great for playing games and bbq. The owners are on site but not intrusive. Communication with them was great. The cake and milk on arrival was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Great in all weather's. 10mins drive from beach and Cliff walks

  • "We had a brilliant time at Foreman’s House."

    We had all our family together(10 of us) for our Covid-delayed special birthday. There was more than enough space: 2 reception rooms and an extra long kitchen table which seated us all. The kitchen was massive and there was plenty of room for all 10 of us in the larger reception room. The 5 bedrooms were ample to accommodate everyone. The house was so clean and had little extras e.g. hand cleanser in the 4 bathrooms, cleaning solutions etc. It was situated 15 minutes fro Bridlington beach and was convenient for Filey, Scarborough and Whitby. Highly recommended.

The RSPB nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs is home to huge numbers of seabirds, including puffins, razorbills and kittiwakes and is where you can enjoy a windswept walk on the clifftops to blow the cobwebs away.

BRIDLINGTON

Filey 10 miles; Scarborough 20 miles.

The seaside resort of Bridlington lies on the east coast of Yorkshire, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning beaches of golden sand stretch out on either side of the historic harbour, bustling with activity. Beautifully designed promenades provide everything from fun-fairs to quiet places where you can sit and watch the world go by. Shops, attractions, restaurants and the historic 'Old Town' of Bridlington offer a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the latest Dad's Army has been filmed, whilst the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides evening entertainment. There is also the East Riding Leisure Centre, with family swimming area and a variety of other indoor activities. Further afield are the picturesque villages and scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds, the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the spectacular heritage coastline. There are numerous places to visit in the area, including Bempton's RSPB bird sanctuary, Sewerby Hall, Danes Dyke and Flamborough Head with its cliffs and caves.
