Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your recent stay, its been a very busy year for this lodge and now we are closed for the winter we carry out our maintenance review and will ensure the issues mentioned are included we have will certainly investigate how the sealed item you found could have been overlooked by the housekeeping team even though it was a last minute booking our usual high standards should always be maintained. Shame as otherwise nice area & wildlife a bonus

Yes the exteriors are on the list for painting however the english weather we have had this year has been unsuitable for exterior staining and abundance of bookings have made it a little tricky to get the jobs done - guests wouldnt like workmen around from 8am everyday. Prior notice was given for the fireworks at the hotel next door and i believe went on for about 5 minutes. The windows are cleaned once a month and we believe are kept on top of. Glad you enjioyed the area and the delightful wildlife which lives around here. Property Owner

I love the gorgeous setting, with the lovely peacocks and wildlife and the beautiful grounds. Perfect for my dog and love the little lodges. They are clean and equipped with everything you need. The size is perfect, like a little home from home in a fabulous place. Not far to drive to Saltburn, which is a lovely beach, with half is dog friendly. My dog would love to live here! She is 13 1/2 but turns into a puppy here! The break was extremely chilling- be back again soon, if there's any bookings left! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Only one tiny window that opened. Outside of property in need of paint and hadn't been swept. Very poor for pubs and restaurants very poor for gift shops etc don't think this property warrant a 4* decided not to use yourselves again as unreliable

Sorry you didn’t like Rushpool or Saltburn - there is a “kiss me quick “ type of gift shop on the beach front but Saltburn tries to keep away from that sort of stuff to keep the character of Victorian town of Saltburn alive. Property Owner

Facilities are of a high standard and the patio is a good size with access either side of the property, providing a secure outside space for our two dogs. The welcome letter includes lots of useful information and the tea, local coffee and dog treats were a nice touch. Before arriving I contacted the team looking after the site regarding a query I had. The Lodge was spotless and really well maintained with comfortable furniture and beds and great sized rooms. It is well equipped with kitchen utensils and washing up liquid, cleaner etc, books and fridge, freezer, washing machine and wifi connection. It exceeded our expectations! It's like having your own space with patio etc in a beautiful setting and so relaxing. Lovely birthday spent there and break, just what we needed- thank you! Definetly be back.

There was a slight issue on arrival with the boiler / hot water but quickly rectified and there was no further issue during our stay. Would agree with one or two comments about the bed mattresses being on the 'firm' side but just a very minor comment - having moved to memory foam 10 years ago.
