Only one tiny window that opened. Outside of property in need of paint and hadn't been swept. Very poor for pubs and restaurants very poor for gift shops etc don't think this property warrant a 4* decided not to use yourselves again as unreliable

  • "Primrose Lodge was spotlessly clean and well equipped with ample space for us and our adult daughter."

Facilities are of a high standard and the patio is a good size with access either side of the property, providing a secure outside space for our two dogs. The welcome letter includes lots of useful information and the tea, local coffee and dog treats were a nice touch. Before arriving I contacted the team looking after the site regarding a query I had. I found them to be very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome.

We found it to be clean, cosy and well equipped. The location was beautiful and peaceful. All the maintenance team we met were really friendly and took a pride in their work. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. The only issue was nowhere did it mention towels were supplied, which they were! Looking forward to staying here again!

Thank you for your feedback - we have asked Sykes to update their details and we will pass your kind comments on to the maintenance department - they sometimes get forgotten about but are a vital part of our team here. Look forward to welcoming you again. Property Owner

The Lodge is set in a beautiful setting-not far to Saltburn in the car. The grounds are full of wildlife-peacocks, ducks, squirrels and the area is gorgeous. The Lodge was spotless and really well maintained with comfortable furniture and beds and great sized rooms. It is well equipped with kitchen utensils and washing up liquid, cleaner etc, books and fridge, freezer, washing machine and wifi connection. It exceeded our expectations! It's like having your own space with patio etc in a beautiful setting and so relaxing. Lovely birthday spent there and break, just what we needed- thank you! Definetly be back.

Thank you for your kind comments , the woods are special - I was down in the woods myself today tidying up some of the paths - the wildlife is abundant- magical Property Owner

with evening entertainment provided by the peacocks, squirrels, rabbits and ducks! The lodge was well-fitted out with an excellent shower room. There was a slight issue on arrival with the boiler / hot water but quickly rectified and there was no further issue during our stay. Would agree with one or two comments about the bed mattresses being on the 'firm' side but just a very minor comment - having moved to memory foam 10 years ago. However, would very much look to return to Primrose Lodge again when next in the area.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Look forward to seeing you again hopefully. Property Owner
