    "3 night stay with family."

    The house it’s self is nice but there is a few things that let it down. First floor- the floor boards have screws that are not flush with the boards and hurt when not wearing slippers/shoes. Kitchen- the oven not cleaned, fridge not cleaned, old food at the back of fridge, draws not clean and covered in old food. No bags for the bins. Garden- needs a tidy up both front and back. Weeds growing and a funny unpleasant smell in the front garden. 1st floor- none of the doors close fully, no toilet roll in the bathroom. 2nd floor- again no door close fully. No bins have bags in them, limited toilet roll in bath rooms. The house dusty. The beds are lovely and comfortable and the views in the top living room are amazing and we loved spending time in there. Location is great and so close to shops, beach, restaurant and pubs. Overall a nice stay, few things let it down and this is mainly cleaning. We also tried to contact Skye to see about extending our stay by a night as it was free on the app. But not able to get hold of anyone and still waiting for them to contact me via the chat…..

    "The property was good but Sykes were useless."

    I tried to contact them 3 times via the app about rubbish clearance. No answer. We then called the customer services department but no one got back to us.

    "This was our second stay in Casa Formentera as we had loved it so much last year."

    House is a perfect seaside location and easy to get to anywhere. Our only issue is with the plumbing. Water pressure not great and still a continuous drip from the 2nd floor shower. We did report this last year also. To the point where we needed to put something in the shower tray to help reduce the dripping sound. Also will we only had enough towels for 3 of us and one was a bit small. But, won’t stop us going back. It’s a lovely property

    "Firstly the property was a lovely place to stay and the views were amazing!"

    It was very well furnished and finished and made for a comfortable stay. We were surprised there was no information booklet on arrival? But the fiasco with the additional parking permit not being available did take the shine off the holiday. Mistakes happen and we understand this so whilst frustrating it wasn't initially a major problem that we didn't have all the permits on arrival however the amount of time it took for the issue to be resolved and for the additional permits to be dropped off was unacceptable and certainly not something we would had expected from a reputable holiday company. We arrived on the Saturday and didn't receive the additional permits until the Wednesday meaning we had to use public car parks for a couple of days during our stay during which time my car was also hit by a wheelchair that was left to roll into my car (luckily not causing noticeable damage). This was not convenient as we have a baby and therefore a pushchair so we booked the holiday home on the provision we had parking at the house as advertised. Having to constantly phone and chase up the parking permits over multiple days impacted our holiday and our experience of having a holiday through Sykes was really disappointing which is a real shame given the holiday property itself was a lovely place to stay. There was also a minor issue with a running toilet and shower, but this only occurred infrequently and intermittently so wasn't a big problem for us.

    First of all, I am really pleased to hear that you enjoyed Casa Formentera and the panoramic views. Truly sorry that there was a problem with the parking disks, and that it wasn't dealt with promptly. There should have been disks in the property at your arrival and unfortunately we did not find out about them being missing. There is also large car parks within a few minutes walk from the property at which you can park for a very small cost. Property Owner

    "Property looks lovely on photos & property on top floor lounge room is where we stayed primarily of the time when in as the views were amazing."

    Few issues with fridge breaking down before arrival & a leak through the ceiling from top floor shower room onto my son in the middle of the night causing a complete power cut on the middle floor apart from that it was a standard stay in amongst electricians coming in and one waking us up on our last morning relaxing before going back to a high/stress job, not ideal! Property extremely dusty especially on blinds & window sills & kitchen shelf unit old food crumbs were found, toilet brush on top floor extremely dirty covered in faeces. Shower bottles were almost empty in all three shower/bathrooms. Plenty of toilet roll readily available though which was the only positive, without the spectacular views on the top floor we would have left & booked into a B&B.

    We are truly, truly sorry about your experience! We provided a free standing fridge before your arrival while we arranged for an emergency engineer to fix the fridge/freezer as quickly as we could. We do apologise if the emergency engineer and plumber disturbed your stay but we were keen to fix all the problems as soon as possible. They are all now fixed and the property has had another deep clean. Glad you enjoyed the panoramic views and once again apologies for any disruption. Property Owner

    "Absolutely lovely property and exactly as described."

    Beautiful views and very comfortable and clean. Design was modern and well thought out. Few minor maintenance issues that would make this property 5* for us. Plumbing issues ….. Dripping shower on top floor en-suite and poor drainage during shower. Middle floor bathroom has no cold water at basin and middle floor en-suite had a leaky radiator. We did report that flush wasn’t working in this toilet but that was rectified once reported. Also patio area not entirely enclosed so be careful if you have a dog to let out. But, all in all would definitely use this property again, it was lovely.

    "A lovely stay in well appointed spot overlooking the harbour and South Bay Beach."

    Very nicely furnished property and very well equipped, with bedding and towels all provided for our stay. One tiny niggle though - we kept snagging our toes on the screwhead protruding from the floorboard in the dining room near the back door.

    "Absolutely lovely looking property and extremely well designed and decorated."

    Has everything you need and more and very clean with it. Glass frontage made view excellent and sun was shining so sat out on front in sunshine to get a bit of wind tan. Great location for walking to all local attractions in Scarborough. Brilliant time had by all and would really recommend property. Looking to return with kids later in year.

    "Absolutely loved this place!"

    Such a good location, had no problems parking with the permits provided. It was a short walk from the front of the sea. Only feedback I had was that the kitchen is tiny and the breakfast bar isn’t flat so we didn’t use it at all, it could do with just being taken out as it’s in the way. Also we had no guidance as to where the bins were, we had some nappies to dispose of but could not find the bins anywhere. Maybe a little welcome guide on arrival left in the house explaining these things would be good? Also the TV was incredibly hard to use, we just wanted normal tv channels but this was really hard to get on, maybe a user guide would be good? Then the only other feedback I would have is that we had a small toddler and there were no stair gates available and would have been good if the cot had been put up for us for when we arrived… as we arrived late at night then it was an extra stress trying to find the cot and work out how to put it up! But I must stress I’m being extremely picky! I LOVED the house it was to such a high standard and those paint colours! Farrow and ball im guessing! The interior design was spot on!

    "This brilliant property is in a great location and is absolutely stunning."

    It looks exactly like the photos and delivers in all areas: it is exceptionally clean, has great beds / bedding / towels, a well stocked kitchen, and amazing views over the Scarborough harbour.     "A superb property, beautiful decor, great kitchen and dining room."

    The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the amenities you may require. A bonus to have en-suites in two of the bedrooms and a further bathroom to accommodate the third bedroom which housed the bunk beds. The downstairs snug was great for our granddaughters to play and watch tv. The icing on the cake is the top floor lounge with spectacular views, certainly somewhere to sit with your binoculars and a glass of wine. We managed to park outside to unload but then moved our vehicle to a car park close by. Would definitely recommend this property but would add a caution to anyone with mobility issues. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought in to making it a welcoming and comfortable accommodation.
