  • "Apartment was beautifully decorated , spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our week's stay."

The location was great, near Peasholm Park and with private parking too. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

  • "The apartment was clean and fresh and in a lovely location but sadly it let it down because of a lack of a few basic touches eg, no extra kitchen bin bag, freezer compartment in fridge unusable had not been defrosted, double mattress needs updating (far too soft, well used) no handles for getting out of shower in en suite or mat for floor, no handles in main bathroom, toilet rolls woefully cheap (had to buy our own), water in condenser dryer never been emptied or filter cleaned out (I did it myself)."

Says wi-fi but it's not adequate when other apartments are occupied couldn't access it for 3 days of our holiday. We would like to go back because of location but would choose another apartment.

  • "This was our 2nd visit to Manor Heath and in a different apartment to last time."

We could not fault the apartment, or the contents, nothing could be added to make our stay better. It is situated in a good position overlooking Peasholm Park, near the beach, close to the bus stop and not far from shops. It was also nice to have our own car parking space. My wife has already hinted at going back there again.

As before, the flat was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Private car park is a bonus for anyone considering the Manor Heath. Disappointed with the 9 am leaving time, especially as beds had to be stripped. Would rather have arrival time an hour later.

  • "The apartment was modern, well presented and maintained although there was damp in the cupboard of the twin bedroom."

It was in a brilliant position overlooking Peasholm Park and only a short, easy walk from North Bay. The information and instructions for the visit were clear and we appreciated a reserved parking spot for ease of loading and unloading. The communal reception area was smart and welcoming with information leaflets available. There was everything in the apartment that you would need and a helpline number was available in case of difficulty and the cleaner responded quickly to a broken light bulb, thank you. It was strange that no facilities were available for recycling, we would have appreciated this. The week was typical East Coast weather ranging from storms to brilliant sunshine but the heating in the apartment was easy to work and made for a welcoming return each day. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again next year!

  • "Manor Heath apartments are well situated being only a few minutes walk away from Peaseholm Park and North Bay, and with open views to the front of the property of the park and sea."

There is one designated parking space for each apartment at the rear of the building with a pay and display car park across the road for extra cars or visitors. Apartment 2 was very clean with new furnishings on a seaside theme. It would be fine for a couple but felt so cramped with 3 adults that the fourth member of our family group, plus dog, was advised not to come and join us. The open plan living area contained a very small but well equipped kitchen area and there was a communal washing machine and tumble drier in a cupboard off the entrance hall. Floor space was limited in the sitting and dining area and we found the two small settees hard and uncomfortable. The bedrooms were both small but two walk in cupboards provided ample hanging and storage space. The beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. There were two bath towels provided for each room but only one hand towel. The en suite to the double room was compact and had a very narrow opening into the shower. This apartment was not really suitable for a dog due to the light coloured carpets and furnishings, and lack of space to put a dog basket.

So near to various areas, like the sea front, main town etc. and the walks around Peasholm just across the road. • "HI there, we feel this should be reported 1) There was a light bulb out in the main living room 2) The central heating radiator and the hot water did not work in the en suite, very disappointed due to the fact my daughter and her boyfriend used the main bathroom and we had to share so not happy at all."

    3) Only two wine glasses, if accommodating 4 people there should be 4 of everything minimum, 4) We were unable to use the dishwasher, the dinner plates were too big for the slimline model. 5)The dinner plates didn't fit into the microwave either so we had to mess about with take away food which was inconvenient and messy. 6) Finally, before we could use the main bathroom, we had to sweep the floor it was full of sand and we counted about 17 sand flies. Really not good. Once we had cleaned up and got used to the using of one bathroom, we did feel that putting these aside we did enjoy ourselves. I would like the feed back on this please.

  • "Fabulous spot, situated not far from North Beach and Alpamare, being opposite the park with easy access to the road north to Whitby etc."

Having a private car park was excellent. Parking is difficult in Scarborough (would advise a blue 'time of arrival' card). Apartment was very well equipped with even teabags provided! Enough storage space in both bedrooms. Gap into the ensuite shower was a little narrow but as there was also a shower over the bath, it didn't become a major problem. Loads of books, games and leaflets in the communal hall area as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer to share. Apartment 2 was decorated in a lovely seaside theme and would thoroughly recommend it especially as a base for exploring Scarborough and the surrounding area.

  • "We stayed in apartment 2 ground floor."

This is a former hotel converted into apartments earlier this year and they have made a nice job of the conversion. Our apartment was modern, comfortable and fully equipped with all you need. Beds, bedding, bathrooms, kitchens all very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise during our stay. We could hear the people upstairs at various times of the day, sometimes early in the morning, thump, thump across the floor, a dog barking, drawers being opened, doors banging, and the water pressure was quite high so we could hear the showers, the toilets being flushed and taps being run. There was further noise from the building next door which is the Miners Welfare place. Their smoking and seating area was right next to our apartment, they were often out there from 7am onwards, generally rowdy, talking and laughing loudly. We had to keep the blinds shut in the kitchen and lounge as they were looking in each time they were out there. If we had the windows open it would have been even louder. They have a lot of land, so I suggest they move their smoking area away from these apartments. We didn't expect this and were a bit disappointed. We love Scarborough and surrounding areas and picked the North side for being quieter. The location of the apartments is great as you can leave your car and reach everything by walking or the open top bus to the South side. The conversion work is excellent, we had a great time despite the grumbles about the noise.

Its fabulously well equipped and spotlessly clean, the beds were really comfy and everything had been thought about from the comfort of the bed and its linen and the lovely soft towels to the thoughtful milk and wine left for us on arrival.
