  • "Absolutely lovely apartment, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again."

    Slight downsides, sofas are really uncomfortable as said in previous reviews i didn’t think this would be an issue but they are worse than expected, they need a better hoover with the expectation to leave the apartment as found and also the 9am departure time is too early but only minor issues.

  • "Bathroom was not clean and cleaners returned to redo the cleaning ."

    There were no toilet rolls or soaps in either bathroom .I spoke directly to the owner in this respect and these items were addressed . The settees were very uncomfortable ,cushions and upholstery were such poor quality that they did not provide good seating .

    All fantastic as always very clean and comfortable. One small issue the apartment has a very small and generally rubbish vacuum so we couldn’t leave the apartment as clean as we would of liked!

  • "Ideally located for all the North Bay attractions and Alpamare water park only ten minutes walk up the road."

    Peasholm Park is opposite and well worth visiting. I booked this apartment not realising it was dog friendly, having a pet allergy and was concerned to read one review about dog hairs on the furniture. When I expressed concerns to Sykes the message was forwarded to housekeeping and I had a courtesy phone call from them which was much appreciated. Needless to say the apartment was spotless and there was no problem or evidence of pets anywhere in the apartment or access areas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

  • "We loved the apartment and its location."

    Only thing we were dissatisfied with was the cleanliness of the room. We got covered in white dog hairs from the sofas straight away. It was also seen on the carpets.

  • "Overall a good apartment and clean."

    Only downsides are the lack of comfort from the sofas and bed. Also there are no household amenities, such as bin bags, hand wash, condiments, laundry detergent/conditioner. Felt like we had to buy everything from Sainsbury’s after we arrived just to make it liveable.

  • "We have just returned from a week at Manor heath with our 18 month old and our dog."

    The location is PERFECT with everything on your door step, lots to do and see. We didn’t get in our car once all week and instead used public transport and the northern railway. The apartment is very clean, modern and really spacious. Facilities were above our expectations, and had a washing machine and dryer (very important when you have a baby!). The one and only negative was the sofas - they are really uncomfortable and after a busy day and our baby was in bed we looked forward to a well earned glass of wine and to relax. We will definitely be returning one day, and have already recommended Manor Heath to my family and friends. Thank you for a lovely family holiday.

  • "Amazing apartment with lots of homely touches."

    Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Beautifully clean, very relaxing and no issues with keys /access/parking. Could sit at the table and see the sea whick was nice. If I was being picky the only thing that could do with changing is the sofas, they are a bit uncomfortable and due to the time of the year I probably spent more time in the apartment than usual.

    My mum is recovering from 2 strokes. The apartment was brilliant. Exceptionally clean, the 2 bathrooms were perfect for us. Large tv. Easy access to all amenities. The car parking space round the back was priceless! My dad being an ex builder appreciated the high quality the apartment was finished to. So Thank you Sykes for a lovely holiday.

  • "First time using Sykes so always a bit apprehensive but the apartment and building are finished to a very high standard, there was everything you could possibly need (with the exception of kitchen scissors) for your stay."

    Having parking in Scarborough is a huge bonus, the WiFi was brilliant. Only one or two minor issues, on returning to the building from a day out, we found the back door to the building and car park wide open with nobody in sight, from a security issue it would be a good idea to remind guests (maybe a notice by the door) to keep the door locked at all time. Whilst we were aware at the time of booking that pets were accepted in the building, at the time of our visit, 3 of the 6 apartments had dogs and as a non pet owner we found ourselves with a dog in the flat below, opposite and above us. Sadly this did spoil our experience somewhat due to the sporadic barking from these flats. Maybe the listings should reflect that it is popular with pet owners so non pet owners are aware that this may be the case.

  • "What a little gem of an apartment."

    We where astonished by how modern and clean the apartment was, little gifts like the bottle of wine,soaps and shower gel where welcoming. Sitting at the dining table in the morning eating breakfast and having a sea view was glorious, Central to all holiday facilities and shops. I will definitely be booking Apartment 3 again. We had a fantastic stay.

  • "Number 3 was a very nice apartment , tasteful & pleasant."

    Very good location near to shops & sea front, & directly across from the park. (great for children). If I could improve anything it would be to have an electric socket near to a mirror to enable ladies to dry their hair. Also the apartment would benefit from a DVD player.

  • "Me and my partner had a lovely stay in this beautiful apartment."

    Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and we felt at home. The wine was a thoughtful gesture as was the milk in the fridge. The apartment is ideally situated close to all local attractions and only a few minutes walk to North Bay beach. South Bay beach is also within walking distance. Overall a lovely apartment that we didn't want to leave! We would love to come back. Only comment; there is no DVD player as stated on the listing.

  • "Fab apartment, excellent facilities (just missing scissors) and we will definitley be recommending and we hope to go again in the future."

    The only niggle we had was whoever was staying in number 6 left the bathroom light / fan on constantly and it created a horrible humming noise in the master bedroom of number 3, we kept having to ask them to turn it off. That was no fault of the apartments it was down to the people who were in number 6 and kept saying they 'forgot' to turn it off.

The apartments sit just a short walk from the ever-popular North Bay in the traditional British seaside resort of Scarborough.
