Description
Bring everyone together at North Beach Lodge, a pet-friendly, large-group holiday home in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, sleeping up to 16 guests across eight bedrooms with six en-suite shower rooms, a private hot tub, games room and several separate spaces in which to relax.
Just a ten-minute walk from North Bay Beach, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and the North Bay Railway, the house is particularly well suited to larger family gatherings, celebrations and groups of friends who want plenty of room to spend time together without everyone having to occupy the same space.
For something extra during your stay, a range of optional concierge experiences can also be arranged, including private chefs, cocktail-making classes, murder mystery evenings, casino nights and pampering treatments — ideal if you are celebrating a special birthday, anniversary or simply want to make the weekend a little more memorable.
On arrival, there is off-road parking for three cars, four depending on vehicle size, together with an electric vehicle charging point.
Inside, the main sitting room provides a comfortable place to gather, with sofas, a 50-inch Smart TV, DVD player, books and an open-flame gas fire for cooler evenings.
One of North Beach Lodge’s real strengths is its choice of separate living spaces. The ground-floor garden room leads directly to the hot tub patio and has its own 50-inch Smart TV, while a small first-floor snug provides another quieter retreat. On the second floor, the Teen TV Den gives younger members of the group their own space to watch TV, relax and escape the adults for a while — quite possibly a benefit to both parties.
The spacious contemporary kitchen is designed with large groups in mind and includes two electric double ovens, a five-zone induction hob, American-style fridge/freezer and dishwasher, with a separate utility room providing a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave.
Once dinner is ready, everyone can sit down together in the dining room, with seating for all 16 guests. The adjoining bar area makes this a natural social space for drinks, games and long evenings around the table.
For a little friendly competition, head upstairs to the games room, where you will find table football, darts and a selection of games.
At the end of the day, choose from eight bedrooms arranged across the first and second floors.
Six bedrooms within the main house benefit from their own en-suite shower rooms. On the first floor are a king-size bedroom with large bay windows and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
The second floor provides another king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, a double with en-suite shower room and a further twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.
There are two additional bedrooms in the rear first floor extension — one king-size and one double — which have access to the nearby family bathroom.
An additional cloakroom on the ground floor provides extra convenience for larger groups.
Outside, relax in the private hot tub on the enclosed rear patio or enjoy the first-floor terrace, a lovely spot for drinks or alfresco dining in warmer weather.
When you are ready to explore, many of Scarborough’s best-known attractions are within easy reach. North Bay Beach, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Cricket Club, the North Bay Railway and Scarborough Open Air Theatre are all around a ten-minute walk away, with SEA LIFE Scarborough and the town centre also nearby.
Further afield, visit Scarborough Castle, walk a section of the Cleveland Way, spend the day exploring Whitby and its famous 199 Steps and Abbey, or head along the coast to Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay.

Plenty of room for our annual family get together with everything you can think of to make it feel like a home from home. Great location for getting out and enjoying all Scarborough has to offer!
Fantastic property furnished to a high standard.
Close to all amenities shops and historical sights and eating places. Well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms all good sizes all with en-suite facilities. Although bedroom at the front on the first floor I think may have an issue with the guttering as it rained most nights and all I could hear was dripping. The t.v in the lounge was annoying as on bbc 1 the sound went off after a minute so we had to go through all the system to try and find how to get it back on. All the other channels were fine. That was OK until after the next day the same thing would happen so the t.v was the only thing we got annoyed with. Peasholm park was great just down the road and brilliant for walking the dog . The grandchildren loved the house lot's of place to play hide and seak. So overall a brilliant stay. Thank you.

The beds in the top floor rooms were too soft, and it was very hot.
Ceiling fans needed as hottest part of the house. Pillows poor in many rooms. Front room hot and couldn't open any windows. Pans inadequate to cook for 10 people - not sure how you'd cope with 16! Only one pan had a lid which fitted. Simpler instructions needed for ovens and hob. Shower fan in Ayton room (1st floor back) very noisy with grinding sound. No black bin bags provided - 1 bag for 10 people for a week. Difficult access to parking with on street parking place full. Dining room could have better layout if removed "bar" which serves very little purpose. Appreciated the different areas around the house for games, quiet areas etc. Stayed before but not for a week so hadn't realised not very good if you're doing your own cooking, etc. Tumble dryer very efficient. With a few tweeks this would have been perfect for our family stay.

Our large, 3 generation family had a fantastic weekend in Scarborough, staying at the North Beach Lodge.
The house itself was perfect for us, within easy walking distance to the beach, park and town. There was plenty of space within the property with the added bonus of a hot tub. We will definitely be booking to stay there again and would recommend this house to anyone needing multiple bedrooms and large living accommodation.

This property is amazing, its an absolutely gorgeous house.
The bedrooms are all lovely and nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen and utility room have everything you could need. Hottub is a bonus ! There was 13 of us ranging from 26 to 62 and we all loved it ! It's in a great location , with everything you could need in walking distance. The owner was extremely helpful , after stepping in at last minute to allow us to use his property after our other was cancelled, he was then making sure everything was OK for us and happy to help with any queries. Would highly recommend this property !

The house is very comfortable and spacious! The location is brilliant for discovering Scarborough and surrounding area. Added bonus is the hot tub, great for chilling after a busy day out and about!

A lovely holiday lodge, it was perfect for our group of 9 adults.
The kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed and the rooms and bedding were immaculate. The hot tub was a great size for our group too. The property is about a 7-minute walk from the beach which was perfect for a Saturday morning dip. There's also great access to a local park, the beach promenade and local town centre. Parking is more for 3 cars rather than 4 cars - it would fit 4 cars if they were all small sized vehicles. It was great that the lodge provided 2 x parking discs for cars parking on the road.

The property was spacious and suited a diverse family group. It was well equipped and comfortable. In a great position particularly for North Bay attractions and a bonus to have off road parking if somewhat of a squeeze for 4 cars. Hot tub was a great feature too.

In need of some general TLC.
one toaster not working. some cleanliness issues- cobwebs in corners so clearly not cleaned recently Bathroom floor in extension not cleaned as several clear plastic hairbands and long dark hairs found on floor in front of sink. Bedroom with metal headboard- headboard very dusty not cleaned for sometime. Paving round hot tub green and blimey in places

Large property in close proximity to Scarborough north beach and park.
Area is quite rundown and neighbouring properties were very noisy late at night. Property it self was good but perhaps some of the bedroom fittings need upgrading. Other than that had a lovely stay and the property is ideal gor large family groups. Car parking does struggle to get 4 cars in.

We’re so close to lovely Peasholm Park and the sea front and a more residential road which is why guests usually like us? For that reason too, off street parking is a real bonus so I appreciate 4 cars might be a squeeze but in peak season it’s a godsend as on street parking can be really tricky.

Parking made a huge difference and had 4 cars parked on the front. Everything we could think we would need was provided except for tongs for turning the bacon

After the initial hiccup which was quickly resolved, we had a lovely stay at North Beach Lodge to celebrate my husband’s birthday with all our family, the kitchen was very well equipped, and there was plenty of room for 3 generations to spread around.
The children enjoyed the games room and we made use of the hot tub even tho the weather as cold.

We had a lovely few days in Scarborough.
The house is warm and comfortable and it was good to have en suites in most of the bedrooms. The park, beach and handy corner shop are just a short walk away. The only downside was the tv controls which didn’t work very well.

Great compilation of rooms suitable for our mixed group of family and friends as most rooms at the property have their own bathroom.
Plenty of communal spaces too and a couple of rooms tucked away if you want some quiet space. And of course the hot tub is a great bonus! Property clean with everything we needed including games room and parking. Property is dog friendly and there was a faint smell of dog in the lounge something to be aware of if you don’t have dogs or if you have any allegys. Location is great - you are a 14 min walk into town one way or a 2 min walk to Peasholm park the other way and 5 mins to the beach. There is a shop a minutes walk away for essentials and also a chip shop.

We were 8 ladies in our 60's and all agreed the house was fab. Very comfortable and loved all the bathrooms. Excellent dining and sitting room and kitchen good. Super location. Extremely good communication beforehand with all information very clear.

10 adults and 4 children we were there for the weekend for a family celebration and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and said they would definitely go again. Great space for a large group and ideal location next to Peasholm and North bay.
Kitchen is very well equipped and modern. The rest of the house needs updating and cleaning, very dusty, dirty dining chairs, en-suites grubby, outdoor areas need a power wash. Still feels like a guest house as opposed to a large house.

We take issues with cleanliness very seriously and have already passed your review to our cleaning team, we expect better from them and will ensure our usual high standards ( as you can see from other reviews) are maintained every time. We’ve never been told in 3 years that we feel like a guest house, so we’ll have to agree to differ on that point. We have a rolling programme of refurb and updates to the house so families can continue to enjoy it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in spite of the weather!
Plenty of space including comfortable lounge. We thought the kitchen particularly good- spacious, clean and well equipped. Owner very quick to respond if needed. 4 out of our party of 12 found the beds uncomfortable but we recognise this can be personal preference re mattresses. Overall would highly recommend

A well appointed and equipped clean house in a great location for all that happens in the nearby North Bay and only 15 minute walk to the Town Centre.
We went off-season (but the weather was kind!) but the parking places would be a real plus in the main holiday season. Would go again if staying in Scarborough.

What a fantastic location this property is in.
So comfortable in all the rooms and plenty of space for an intergenerational family trip. Great facilities in the house and the hot tub was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Our family of 12 stayed here recently and had a fantastic time The house was immaculate, well equipped and spacious with the added bonus of the hot tub which everyone took advantage of.
The location couldn't be better, very close to the beach and town. Couldn't go wrong with all the eating/drinking establishments! Would thoroughly recommend for large groups and we will hopefully return at some time in the future

Having stayed in a few similar places in the area we can say this was by far the best.
The owners provided a high quality guide of up to date information before our stay before we arrived allowing us to plan our trip and took up many of their recommendations many of which were a convenient short walk away. The house itself was as described with comfortable areas, with well designed warm and inviting rooms. The amenities had all the desired space which allowed multiple groups to enjoy their own activity without the disturbance of overlapping each other. A good example is the quiet snug well situated for reading far enough away from the music being played by the hot tub and the film being watched the Livingroom. The owners were helpful, informative and quick in response to our query making allowing you to relax. Well situated, great venue suitable for families or groups, I would highly recommend.

Great holiday stay all close to town centre and all amenities, key collection was simple we parked 3cars on the drive with ease with probably room for 1 more, would deffo consider using again, just 1 thing it could have done with more loo rolls.

The house was great for our family get away, it ticked all the boxes and the hot tub was much fun!
Some of the rooms need a decor update but fit for purpose. The kids loved it.

A nice house within easy walking distance of the town.
Rooms were all clean and welll equiped. Problem with the hot tub - which could not be fixed during our stay - despite the best efforts of the owners (compensation payment was given). An enjoyable stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday staying at North Beach lodge.
There were 16 of my family staying (ages 72 down to 1), plus dogs with lots of space for everybody. The children really liked the snug and den where they could disappear, the hot tub was a treat and generally we were able to relax and feel comfortable. Property is very close to peasholm park with its interesting trails and to the north beach. The owners were quick to respond to a couple of minor queries we had and did so in a very friendly manner.

Just returned from this lovely property & what a fab time we had.
Loved the house & loved Scarborough. We were a family of 13 & the property was a great size for us all to live without living on top of one another. The house had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property.

Mattresses on beds a little uncomfortable, a few cobwebs in garden room leading to the hot tub, need new sofas they sag and buttons missing making it a little shabby, DVD player did not read any of the DVDS provided, knob on the plastic glass cabinet by the hot tub is loose and could come off if not careful, down stairs wc smells of drains and door handle needs attention, kitchen superb,and we all had a fabulous time.
All these points are just minor and easily corrected we love the property and will recommend to friends and family

We’ve had a brilliant time at North Beach Lodge.
It comfortably accommodated 12 of us and our dog. They had thought if everything. The kitchen is really well equipped and there’s plenty of space to socialise and to just chill in one of the many little snugs. The location is just perfect too. Within a very short walking distance of the beautiful park, and all the north beach attractions plus several lovely eating places and the Water Park. What more could you want?

Excellent location short walk to the beach and lots of amenities close by Space was fantastic including having the parking on site Nice that nearly all bedrooms had en suite.
Kitchen had some lovely facilities but space for getting meals ready was a little limited

It is well organised and informative. We had a lovely time celebrating my mums 90 th Birthday . We felt sad leaving and feel we need to go back for at least a week. !

Wow what a lovely big house it was amazing.
With being a large group of our family there was plenty of room. A larger bin in the kitchen would be good or another extra one but otherwise everything was all there that you needed. We did find it too hot with the heating on and we couldn't turn it off. A grab rail in the downstairs cloak room would be handy. With having Rheumatoid arthritis the low toilets made it difficult for me, I did take my own bed rail. Just an amazing house in the right area and so quiet!!!! And my girls ( poodles) loved there holiday.

What a brilliant property, perfect for a large family gathering in a great location near to Peasholme Park and the beach Property was clean and well equipped and the owners were very helpful before and during our stay.

Was comfortable and roomy enough for us all, very clean and very well equipped with everything we needed and more. The kids especially loved the hot tub will definitely be visiting again we had a great time :)

Beautiful 3 storey Lodge with excellent facilities with a large dining room including a bar for your own drinks.
Plenty of ensuite bedrooms to choose from, 2 lovely rooms with large TV's and a hot tub. So clean and well equipped in all rooms. Our group of friends thought this was an excellent location on the North Side of Scarborough virtually next door to Peaseholme Park and the beach. So close to a gorgeous cafe, award winning fish shop. Highly recommend this Lodge and would definitely return. Thank you to the owners too for the lovely welcome drinks and biscuit tray, chocolates and Prosecco.

The property is well equipped, it has everything you need and much more! The property size was perfect for our party, there was plenty of rooms to suit everyone, including a games room, large kitchen/dining room and some lovely cosy living areas. The hot tub was an amazing touch to the property, our party really enjoyed using it, it was also ready for our arrival, thank you! The property is very clean, rooms were comfortable and had their own bathroom facilities. The location is excellent, nearby lots of lovely bars, restaurants, shops and a lovely beach. We stayed at the property during Christmas for 7 days.
The property was very spacious and had everything we need plus more. It was a maze but in a good way (very good to hide away from the kids :-) ). It is very situated to the beach and walkable to town and supermarkets. We had a very small issue and although it couldn't be resolved due to Christmas, Justine was contactable and replied promptly during this break. From the very beginning, Angelo made our stay very enjoyable by contacting us prior to our check in to see if there's anything we need for our stay, answering my thousands questions :-) and throughout our stay, Justine was in contact to ensure everything was in order and we are all having a good time. We all had a very enjoyable break and I would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.

North Beach Lodge is lovely property well suited for large family groups.
All bedrooms are well presented and comfort table with en-suites in main house. Plus additional WC provisions. Communal facilities were ample and comfortable on each level. Kitchen and catering facilities were excellent suitable for large groups. The Dining room is large enough for whole family group. The parking provision is ample for 3 vehicles. Well positioned for the town and local facilities near by Really enjoyed our stay would definitely come again The team running North beach Lodge have provide excellent service

We had a great 3 night stay at North Beach Lodge.
Property was clean and just what we wanted. It is in a great position close to the park, seafront, supermarket and all amenities. We had to contact the owner before, during and after our stay, he was very friendly and helpful and dealt with our questions immediately. Would not hesitate to go back to this property.

We had an amazing weekend in this house.
The house was amazing and a perfect space for the amount of people. Beds were really comfy and black out blinds were fantastic for a lie in. Would definitely recommend this house for big parties of people.

This property is perfect for family and friends to spend quality time together.
The house must be seen as photos do not do the property justice. We had from age 5-60 and everything was catered for. We have many cottage holiday and for us this was the best by far. Everything has been thought of for ease of catering, comfort and all round enjoyment, lots of space to have time to relax as well. The location is great for Scarborough and Whitby plus the surrounding areas. Truly a great place and great time had by everyone from England and France. The House was in a convenient location for bus and train station as well as main Scarborough attractions.
House was very clean and facilities were modern. Aside from a water pressure problem we liked: - The multiple compatible but separate dining tables – as you can configure them as required to suit the company. - Almost universal en-suite facilities. - Loved the motion sensing lights in the entrance porch, hallways, stairs and landings – very welcoming and practical. - Snugs great idea for quiet reading or game console rooms. - Effective wi-fi throughout. - Huge kitchen

To minimise any impact from such external problems in the future, we will be installing a new pressurised system in the next few weeks. We were a family group, ages ranging from 11 months to 93 years, and 7 of us were children.
Everyone had a great time. The house was well equipped, beautifully presented and comfortable and it was great to have playroom and games room for the youngsters so we old folk could relax in the lounge. We did find that the water pressure in the showers was unpredictable, and there were no instructions for the oven (but the owners responded really quickly by emailing the instructions and sending a helpful young man round!) The location is brilliant with loads to keep children amused, come rain or shine. A perfect seaside holiday.

For a family meeting of 9 people, it was an ideal house.
So big in fact that I had trouble navigating. The rooms were clean and well furnished. The kitchen was well equiped and the hot tube was great.

What a fantastic house, decorated beautifully with great attention to detail. 15 of us visited over Mothers Day weekend to celebrate 2 family birthdays, aged between 15 and 70 the house has something for everyone. The games room was a big hit with the boys, as was the Prosecco and chocolates that were left for us on our arrival. The hot tub is amazing! Comfortable beds, en suite rooms were a great bonus. Great location, 1 minute to Peasholme Park and 5 mins to the North Beach. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back, already been looking at dates to come back!

As a group of sixteen (10 adults, 1 tween, 1 child, 2 toddlers and 2 babies) celebrating a 60th birthday, we used every inch of this property and it was absolutely perfect .
Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, warm, spacious and with a good variety of sitting areas . As the person in charge of planning the trip, its such a relief to get amazing feedback from all guests. The owners left us two boxes of chocolates and two bottles of fizz which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend this property. 5 stars

Pros two cafes across the road and a large property for groups.
Nice living room and kitchen. Cons - showers did not work, think limp and no constant temperature control. The beds were grim, yellow with staining on the base, if that’s your thing you’ll be happy here. Fancy letting out a very large property for groups with a hot tub next to a what looks like a retirement let. Sadly wouldn’t recommend.

As you can see, we are yet to receive any feedback in relation to the issue you mentioned with the showers and have double checked these since your stay and can find no problems? Additionally, the beds have also been checked and the issues mentioned have also not been found as this was also the first time this has been reported. When in the property, we would be more than happy to help and when chatting about your late night noise levels, you failed to mention any of these problems which we would have happily rectified immediately. Finally, as can be seen from the main photograph, we aren't next to a retirement home, but a lovely bed and breakfast who made us aware of the noise levels coming from the property very late on, following complaints from their guests. With the care and attention that has been put into North Beach Lodge, we would always be ready to fix any rare problem that might occur straight away and so we would hope that our guests would inform us before the end of their stay.
In a prime location, North Beach Lodge provides excellent accommodation for large groups.
Really well equipped kitchen, clean and well furnished en suite accommodation with very comfortable beds.Off road parking with electric charging point. The hot tub functions well and is an added bonus together with the games room. The owners have obviously dedicated a lot of time and effort into ensuring that clients enjoy their stay. Highly recommended
