Railway House

I would highly recommend Railway House.

We rented the house for my husband's 60th Birthday. We were a group of twenty (family and friends of all ages) and we had a wonderful time. It was spacious and spotless. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the house was very well equiped. The hot tub was an added bonus. We would definitely stay again in the future.

We had the best weekend in this house.

The accommodation, cleanliness and style of this property is exceptional and we would recommend it to anyone. We were a family of 18, all generations and it was suitable for everyone. The communication with the owner worked well, it was prompt, laid back, helpful and easy. Location was great too. The only negative was the amount of bathrooms to the property seems a bit out of proportion so people were waiting around at times but nothing of any concern that we couldn't navigate and it shouldn't put people off staying there.

What a fantastic property ousing elegance in every room classic interior design a well presented venue ideal for what we required for my wife's birthday and the location was just right for all our needs.

We were an extended family of 17 to celebrate an 80th birthday.

Age range 8-80 and we had a fantastic time. The house had so much space that we kept having to go search for people! Was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the outdoor patio area with hot tub was a hit! You can even lean over the fence and see the longest station bench in the world ! Really convenient location with supermarkets and pubs in walking distanc and not too far from the beach. I cant think of anything negative to say at all. 100% recommend!

We spent the Easter weekend with our friend group at Railway House.

The house was spacious, with enough room for everyone to enjoy themselves. We had breakfast in the kitchen, spent time in the gaming room, there were enough bathrooms. And of course we enjoyed the lovely town of Scarborough. Definitely will return again

Honestly couldn’t recommend this property enough, lovely space for our gathering.

There was 17 of us and we had everything we could possible need! The place was lovely and clean and just so much space! Would definitely book again. Jamie the host of the property was great.

We stayed at Railway House to celebrate my Nan’s 80th birthday and honestly, we had the best time.

The house is absolutely perfect – beautifully maintained, spotless, and you can tell it’s really cared for. Everything felt comfortable, spacious and ideal for a big family get-together. It had that rare mix of being impressive but still feeling homely, which made the whole weekend even more special. What really stood out though was the owner. They were so involved, helpful and genuinely wanted us to have a lovely time. Nothing felt like too much trouble and that made such a difference. We’ve made some incredible memories there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Railway House for a special occasion. Thank you for helping us celebrate such an important milestone in the best way possible.

Excellent spacious quality home superb high level accommodation all the required amenities to make your stay a pleasure.

The location is also good 5-mins walk into the town centre good choice of pubs and restaurants.

We as a family of 15 were there to make memories over the Christmas period 2025.

Description was spot on. Location perfect and the house itself was all that we expected and more. Catered for ages from 4 years old to 78 years old. Every room was spacious, clean and great for a family. The 2 different lounges worked really well and the kitchen, dining area was perfect too. I would highly recommend this property to anyone communication with owners / management was excellent too. Thank you for letting us stay at such a fabulous property and being great hosts Gayle

We absolutely loved staying here with our large family group.

There was 19 of us, ranging from grandparent to couples to little children, and we all has an amazing experience. The house and all facilities truly catered to our needs. We would definitely love to return. We all enjoyed using the hot tub. It was really clean and instructions were clear for use.

Railway house definitely delivered on all levels, 4 generations were very comfortable in a beautiful home, parking was spot on as well, although there were 20 of us, we didn’t feel we were on top of each other, the kitchen was mega equipped for a large part of people and exquisitely decorated.

Lovely & clean lots of space, hot tub was lovely, we all had a fab time & would definitely recommend!

The table football could do with some maintenance as the rods do come off. A pool table would be a great addition?

Great holiday property with all facilities needed to have a comfortable break with a large group.

There were 16 adults and we had a great weekend. The place was just as described online. The hot tub was a good size, fitting 10 of us in and all the rooms were lovely. The kitchen has all amenities to allow us all to enjoy a drink and cook a meal.

The property was huge and gave all the family there own space aswell as rooms to all gather together.

It was spotless and had everything we required for our stay. We would 100% return for another special occasion.

Just back from a fantastic weekend with 22 of us celebrating my Hen Weekend!

The only comment made over weekend was more mirrors or even a couple of long mirrors but that was it . It had everything we needed.

We celebrated 50th birthdays at your property and were blown away with the size,decor,facilities etc.

All the guests were extremely happy with their rooms and our stay was perfect. We would definitely recommend you or even visit again.

Absolutely fabulous house, easily accommodated all 19 of us.

Ages ranging from 2 to 80, it catered to everyone's needs. Gorgeous rooms with plenty of entertaining space and a table for all of us to gather around for a meal. Being in the centre of Scarborough, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend this accommodation, if you're wanting a stay with a touch of luxury. Fantastic place

15 people used the property to celebrate a70th birthday.

Found the place to be very clean and comfortable made use of most of the facilities (didn't do a lot of cooking or clothes washing as we were only there 3 nights). The ladies in the group felt there could be more mirrors and hairdryers but overall an excellent venue. So good we rebooked before leaving.

We had a group of 20 ladies for a girly weekend, as we do every year.

The quality and standard of the cottage was head and shoulders above other cottages we have stayed in. The booking process was seamless, and contacting the owner was very simple. The owner was very approachable and welcoming. The owner went above and beyond by not only providing 3 towels per person for the bathrooms but also extra towels provided for the hot tub. It was a really nice touch to have a hamper waiting for you when you arrive, as well as basic supplies like bread, milk, dishcloths and tea towels, as well as dishwasher tablets, etc. There is enough seating round the dining table with plenty of space, as well as plenty of room in the two sitting rooms. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable, clean beds and the decoration throughout was very modern. We got home yesterday and have already contacted the owner to book again for our trip next year!

We had a lovely stay in the house.

The house was spotless on arrival the cleaners do an amazing job. The kitchen is very well equipped. Hot tub fantastic, we the family of grandparents, parents and children had more than enough space to be together or to have space. Close to the town, you really couldn’t be in a better location. Thank you for the memories we have made.

We have had a fabulous weekend staying in the Railway House, it is absolutely stunning!

Before we arrived the owner informed us the Hot Tub was currently out of use but he tried his very best to get this fixed for us and kept us informed throughout. The only thing we felt was missing was a full length mirror being an all girl group, but other than this we wouldn’t change a thing!

Fantastic property finished to a very high standard .

All rooms are bright, airy and spacious and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate our group of 14 plus a baby. The railway line at the bottom of the garden and the proximity to the station may put some people off but you can’t hear the trains at all in the house. Jamie, the owner is very amenable and was quick to resolve any issues we had . Great location , short walk to the sea front , plenty of places to eat close by and 2 supermarkets only 5 minutes walk away Would highly recommend this property to any large group

Excellent /amazing property as per listing.

Great hospitality and welcome- generous welcome pack and friendly, readily available host when needed - nothing too much trouble. Maintenance and cleaning perfect- cleaning and fresh linen provided half way through 2 week stay - this was really appreciated, excellent and non intrusive. A fantastic stay for big group of family and friends. Happily stay again.

We couldn’t have picked anywhere better to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday.

Our children, their partners and grandchildren - 21in all- we all loved the house! It was absolutely perfect in every way. The amazing space! The beautiful decor! The facilities! Everything perfect!! The owner Jamie was extremely friendly and helpful. He obviously goes that extra mile to ensure that his guests feel welcome and ensuring the stay in this beautiful house is stress free and relaxing. The property itself is gorgeous and very conveniently located to access the town centre and sea front.

Unfortunately, the owners false accusations of damage means that I cannot leave a fully positive review. Fortunately, I have photo and video evidence to prove that the damage was there on our arrival so if you do decide to stay here I strongly suggest taking images of everything immediately on arrival in case you are accused of damage like us. I wouldn’t recommend staying based on the negative communication and lack of professionalism from the owner unfortunately.

We cannot rate this property any higher, it was/is amazing and would highly recommend for any large groups looking for quality accommodation.

On arrival the standard was immediately obvious, so clean and extremely well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped for the number of guests, with everything thought of. The welcome hamper was beautiful and very much appreciated. The location of the property made it so easy to actually walk down to the front promenade even with children! The group enjoyed the stay so much we will be returning next year!!

Everything is finished to a high standard and plenty of space for a big group. We stayed as a family and there were 21 of us. The owner Jaime was on hand whenever we needed help and made sure we had the best stay possible. Would highly recommend this house. Just need a few long mirrors and a tv in the smallest room. The house is stunning both inside and outside.

There is plenty of room for at least 6 cars (small to medium size) and even though it’s down a side street once you’ve driven in you could be anywhere. The house backs on to the railway but you barely hear the trains, obviously a big hint in the name

The property is maintained beautifully, clean and spacious. The hot tub was lovely and maintained it’s heat. Plenty of towels provided. Would recommend for a nice break away

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds and linen. Plenty of seating area in both lounges and around the large kitchen table. Hot tub was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fab stay this weekend, there was a group of 15 of us that stayed and it couldn’t have suited us better.

Loads of room for us all and plenty of space for games, chilling out etc. The house was so clean and modern, we literally did not want to leave. Already going to book up for next year!

. Absolutely amazing house, not to be missed! Just filled this stunning house with 22 of my family and enjoyed a fantastic, unforgettable 4 nights. The photos do not do it justice.. The place is huge! Right in the heart of everything and parking for lots of cars. Every room beautiful and finished to a high standard, with quality carpets, fixtures and fittings throughout. Host has put a lot of effort in and gone above and beyond to make sure you have a brilliant stay with an array of amenities, games, tv’s (everywhere!), table football, hot tub, even 22 chairs fit round one dining room table!! Great value, great fun, great memories! Thanks Jamie for making us so welcome, checking all ok at the start and again upon departure (not to mention the welcome gifts .. the huge picnic basket hamper!! ) Had the best time and already planning our return. Can’t fault it..

We had a very good stay, the one problem we had early on with the heating/ hot water was fixed very quickly by the owner who was very friendly.

The welcome hamper was a nice addition. A property within easy reach of many Scarborough amenities.

! the house is breathtaking, the owner has gone above and beyond in providing all that is needed and to the highest of spec. The house is situated in the heart of Scarborough and within walking distance to everything. We stayed at the house this weekend 30th June to 2nd July for my daughter 40th birthday we had the best time at this beautiful house. There was even a luxury essentials hamper waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. I am not a big review writer but when a place deserves it, this definitely does. Thank you Jaime for providing us ladies with a top class accommodation 10 out of 10

I booked the property for a hen party of 18 women and everyone loved it! There was a lovely welcome pack at the house waiting and Jaime checked in on us to ensure we were happy with everything and was very supportive with anything we needed. This house is absolutely beyond stunning.

17 of us stayed here for 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time. The place was immaculate, decorated perfectly and had everything we could possibly need and more - they really had thought of everything! Every room in the house is just beautiful. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and Jaime was a phone call away for anything we needed whilst there. We can’t thank you enough for the most fantastic weekend.

It is an amazingly spacious property and it accommodated our needs perfectly. Very central, once parked our vehicles we didn't need to move them during the weekend.The host was easy to contact and very friendly. Railway House is an excellent place to stay, we stayed as a Large family of 22 to celebrate my Son's 18th Birthday The property is superb and has everything you need and more :) The facilities are excellent and added bonus of the Hot Tub made for a great weekend away.

Perfect location and great setting for 40th Birthday weekend. Jamie was a great host, from checking we had arrival and checked in to the arrival hamper for us. Would definitely recommend for a group staycation!

A fantastic well equipped property!

So well finished and great for larger groups! The owner was fantastic aswell checking in with us to make sure everything was ok and when I had a query about the hot tub he contacted me immediately to help! Only one point of note I would say is the small toilet down next to the back door could do with a blind in the window or frosted glass.

Everything we needed and more. Every room is immaculate and everything has been thought of. Having two large lounges with enough seating was brilliant, when people weren’t happily sitting and chatting in the kitchen. Every bedroom was lovely and super comfy and all the bathrooms were amazing. The hot tub and the table football were enjoyed by everyone. The house just had so much room and perfect for mixed ages. I could put the littlest ones to bed without any worry about them being woken up and everyone else could still enjoy the evening. Jamie was brilliant, all information you need for the house is there and if needed you can message him and get a really quick response. Having parking for everyone is also a big plus! Would highly recommend.

Great holiday. . Great house. . The facilities are top notch. Jaime was a great host and very helpful. 19 of us had a great time. . And will return.

Any Facilities to do recycling in the future, as we produced an awful lot of Rubbish.

We had a fantastic stay in October, with 20 of us sharing the property and still plenty of space for us all.

Very close to the town center and beach. Gorgeous comfortable rooms. Plenty of seating areas for everyone. Would love to go again!

The hot tub was fab and the bathrooms are lovely. Our only negative comments would be the lack of large pans and large serving dishes as it was quite difficult to cook for 22 people at times. The dining table only seated 18 too. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The house is beautiful and exactly as described.

It had everything we needed and catered for our large party of 22. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the towels were lovely and soft - that is something that many do not get right. Our stay at the Railway house was absolutely brilliant!

Once we parked up our cars they never moved again due to everywhere being within easy walking distance! (Especially the pub literally 20 steps up the road)! Their was more than enough room throughout the property for the 23 of us! (Ages ranged from 5months to 50’s) The attention to detail in the finishing touches really make the house stand out from the rest! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we’re looking at booking again!
