Enter the property and be welcomed into the inner porch with handy boot storage, with a delightful interior oak door in keeping with the original style of the church.

Be met with the large, open-plan living space where a spiral staircase to the mezzanine level takes centre stage, with high ceilings over the sitting and dining areas and a contemporary kitchen.

Admire the modern subtly lit kitchen before getting acquainted with the quality appliances to rustle up a delicious meal to be enjoyed around the six seater dining table beneath the feature lighting.

If eating out is your choice enjoy a family dinner at the Mumbai Lounge restaurant, just a short stroll away from the property.

The sitting area enjoys plush seating and a log effect fire, perfect for settling before the large screen Smart TV on a quiet evening in.

The ground floor boasts one of the tastefully appointed bedrooms, a double benefitted by a sleek en-suite shower room, along with a fully equipped family bathroom on this floor too.

Travel up the spiral staircase to find the second large sleeping area comprising of a super-king-size bed which converts to two singles if required, and a double sofa bed.

With views over the balustrade to the open plan living area, rustic exposed brick wall which still features the original church cross. Open the French doors and enjoy the secluded sunny outside space where the patio furniture boasts a full size table for six for evening drinks or alfresco dining.

You may also enjoy a tasty bbq and wish to take advantage of the feature brick built barbeque.

The historic town of Market Weighton is only 2 miles away with independent shops, a supermarket, range of pubs and restaurants.

The village of Goodmanham, on the Yorkshire Wolds Way, with the olde world “Goodmanham Arms” is a delight to visit and is a picturesque walk from the church through Londsborough Park.

Venture a little further and you’ll reach Pocklington, a quaint market town, with weekly market and further choice of shops, delis and restaurants.

Perhaps best known for Burnby Hall Gardens where you’ll find eight acres of gloriously beautiful gardens with two large lakes, home to the National Collection of water lilies.

Nearby is the Pocklington canal, ideal for nature walks and bird watching.

Also nearby, on the cycle track to Beverley is Rifle Butts Quarry, a nature reserve full of wildflowers and butterflies in summer, providing an introduction to the wildlife typical of the Yorkshire Wolds. Walkers can delight in a host of way-marked walking routes nearby as well as cycling too, with the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, and many others offering a wonderful way to explore this beautiful area of Yorkshire.

Venture up to the cathedral city of York to see the imposing York Minster, York Castle Museum, Clifford’s Tower and National Railway Museum, soaking up the rich heritage here and in the immersive JORVIK Viking Centre where a replica of a Viking village has been created, including smells and sounds!

York 20 miles.

The pretty town of Market Weighton is one of the main market towns in the Yorkshire Wolds and lies 20 miles from York. With many Georgian and Victorian properties, including an 18th century coaching inn, Market Weighton also holds a weekly farmers’ market. Within the town is a traditional village green with duck pond. This small town has a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Yorkshire Wolds Way national trail, a long distance footpath, passes through the town which is surrounded by the gently rolling chalk hills.
