  • "Lovely cottage and I would be happy to recommend."

Only drawback is the top bunk bed in the second bedroom is only suitable for a smaller child rather than a taller young adult. Great location for walkers and the property is well fenced so your dogs cannot escape unless they like jumping fences. Very friendly people and can be on site in 5mins if needed. There is an affordable restaurant within 100m who will deliver to the cottage at no extra cost and food arrives hot foil wrapped on plates. Opens 10am and Closes 8.30pm so no unwanted noise. Access from the car pea gravelled at the front and also tarmac parking at the rear. We would definitely come again.

Fab location the prettiest beach ive ever seen definitely a hidden gem . We had food at the kaskane and it was lovely . Plenty of parking and a lovely little garden . My little girl loved it that much she didn't want to leave . If i had to pick at anything it would be the main bed very squeaky with every movement and maybe some Tupperware for sandwich meat etc but it wouldn't put us off booking again its lovely

  • "This is our third year at Kaskane cottages."

We love it. Love the seafront and beach at skinningrove. Ordered meals from kaskane every evening and the staff were wonderful. They brought the meals to the cottage for us as we didnt want to take our dogs in restaurant, although it is dog friendly. The cottage has everything you might need. Lovely and clean and comfortable. Have booked it again for March.

  • "Love going to Skinningrove as everything is right there."

The restaurant next door, the little shop in the village, and most importantly our dogs favourite beach. The cottage is well equipped, and very comfortable & warm (our holiday was October/November). My only gripe is that the beds are a bit hard for me! The team who look after you are also lovely & helpful.

  • "Drummer Cottage was warm and comfortable, it was spacious and spotless."

It was dog friendly with an enclosed front garden and garden furniture. The Cottage was very quiet at night . Behind the cottage is a closed mining museum with steep steps bringing you up onto the hill behind. From the front door a walk through a park and along the beck takes you down to a beach, the beach to the left is one of the most beautiful empty beaches i have come across. Kaskane bar and cafe on the complex sells good food. Local folk are lovely and be prepared to chat when walking your dog in the morning. The Cottage is a great base for touring the North East with Staithes and Whitby close by .

Id actually consider moving there it was so lovely and peaceful. my little girl loved her holiday and what made it perfect everything was on one level no stairs to worry about. 10 min drive to big asda and playgym called play factory my little girl loved it there . 10mins to saltburn lovely place. if you love nice food try elerby inn best food ever also try ship inn at saltburn great base to stay for visting whitby and 1hr drive to Scarborough. If i had to nit pick at anything was the bed not been so comfy but that could just be down to me and wouldnt put me of returning. • "This cottage is the second one of three in the complex that we have stayed in and like the other it is of the same high standard."

All equipment is up to date, functional and clean, and if anything does go wrong the owner lives on site so able rectify issues immediately. The area is also great for seeing everything that this part of the country offers. We dined at the KASKANE restaurant every evening where you can expect great food and the very best of service all at very reasonable prices, also they are very dog friendly. A piece of advice here is book in as it is very busy sometimes. We will definitely return to any of these cottages as we know their high standards and hospitality.

I was astounded by the standard and cleanliness - it was truly spotless. Everything you could possibly need was available. The beaches nearby were ideal for morning walks with my dog and the nearby towns and villages were delightful. I would recommend the walk to Saltburn along the cliff tops and also visiting Sandsend beach which is gorgeous. The Wits End café welcomes dogs and is well worth a visit. Lovely friendly welcome at the cottage and all the people we met whilst around and about were friendly too. We're definitely hoping for a return visit and would highly recommend, although with some reluctance as don't want it to get booked so we can't go!

Drummer Cottage will now be our first choice in that area. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and the locals; great for anybody with or without a dog. We did not know what to expect with the cottage being next to an old ironstone mine with museum. The cottage is perfect inside and out with a walk down to a small beach and a larger expanse of sand a little further.
