The Coach House

The Coach House is very comfortable and clean accommodation with lots of extras.

It is walking distance from both the town centre and the beach. The gates can be closed to provide a private and safe space to enjoy without leaving the property.

Fabulous place in terms of parking, downstairs space, large lounge with lots of seating, well equipped kitchen with large dining room, chill out room, wet room.

Upstairs was cosy but involved lots of bending, nice that the rooms all had opening windows, struggled with the bathroom because of the bending but as there was only 3 of us we were able to use the wet room

Beautiful house close to all amenities.

The house is spotless and very well equipped with everything you need. It has an accessible walk in shower on the ground floor as well as the upstairs bathroom and games room for children. Private secure parking is a bonus!!! 15min walk into Scarborough town where trains and buses are available to travel up and down the East coast. Shops, pubs and a cash machine are a 5min walk There are two folders one containing instructions for all appliances and another with tourist information. We have stayed at this property twice and can very highly recommend.

Lovely accomodation. This is first time we couldn’t get in until 5pm, all previous experiences have been 3pm

We had unfortunately booked a week when the weather was unbelievably cold.

Unfortunately this affected the overall warmth of the property. The radiators were hot but the area to they were in was vast. We all feel, had the weather been has it has been for the last ten days our overall impression would have been better.

Great location, the off Street parking is a huge plus.

Home like feel and everything you would want as a base for exploring Scarborough and the local areas! Would book again!

The accommodation was perfect for our needs.

Extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable, in a very convenient location. It made the ideal base for exploring the local and wider area, and was a cosy place to return to each day. Communication with Sykes was excellent, as was the support from the cleaning/management company. We were extremely grateful for the prompt way they attended to the smoke alarm when it started to beep during the night. I contacted them first thing in the morning and they came to the property that same day. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. All in all it's been a very positive experience. I'm sure we'll book with Sykes again.

We stayed at the Coach House in August 2025 it was exactly as described, very comfortable and extremely clean.

A short distance from the town and the beach it is perfectly placed. The secure parking is a bonus and the locking gates provide privacy for sitting outside and enjoying the evening. There are plenty of local shops should you need anything. The property owners little touches meant a lot such as the email prior to arrival and the welcome box. We are already talking about booking again for next year.

The cottage was lovely and as described.

Easy access to the town which is good as parking can be a nightmare around town. Property was very clean, and everything you need was provided, and available. Owners were contactable and responded in great time. Nothing was to much of an effort. There was also a welcome gift on arriving which was a lovely thought and very well recieved.

Absolutely amazing house everything you need great location to Scarborough etc.

Being 6 foot tall just had to careful upstairs will the low ceiling but wasn't a problem definitely would booked again

Excellent week the cottage comfortably held myself plus daughter and family and son and wife.

Playroom great for grandchildren. South beach a short walk but was very busy on the Saturday much nicer on week day. Lots to do in Scarborough with the castle and north beach, peaseholm park, sealife centre. We headed out to Whitby, robin hoods bay, bempton cliffs rspb and Filey animal park all worth the trip. Having parking for three cars was great is difficult to find and be walking distance to town and beach.

Everything needed was supplied. Clean and comfortable. Great location with only a 15 min walk to the beach or town centre, loved the off street parking. Would highly recommend.

A well equipped, clean and well maintained house.

The beds were notably comfortable. It was great having off road parking and being able to close the gates at night. Easy walk down to South Cliff lift down to the beach and Spa for concerts. Also walking distance to the station for a bus to Whitby. The upstairs ceilings do slope - no worries, you get used to that in 5 minutes.

A lovely , clean and well equipped cottage, all the family loved it, real bonus having a games room for the children.

Beds are exceptionally comfortable for a holiday property, the best we’ve had, with 3 generations on holiday having a bath and separate shower was great, no problems at all with this cottage.

I stayed at the Coach House with my daughter and two of my grandsons it was amazing we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay.

The beds were so comfortable and the Coach house itself was so homely,the games room made it for us as my youngest grandson has epilepsy and learning difficulties and he loved it in there that’s where we spent most of our time.We would definitely book again you are close to the shops, beach and the town centre.Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful Coach house. It was very clean, comfortable and very well maintaned and was great to have a dishwasher and washing machine.

Very well located for the beach, shops, and as a base for exploring North Yorkshire. Only suggestion for improvement would be to be allowed to arrive earlier than 5pm and to depart later than 10am.

We can not fault this lovely holiday home, we thoroughly enjoyed our week!

Lovely light comfortable and well appointed cottage in a perfect position for accessing all of South Bay on foot even for less mobile people.

Good selection of shops and takeaways round the corner and lots to do locally even when weather not good. The children loved the extra living room/snug and all the games and books left for their use as well as the three tv's! Main bedroom was very opulent!

The property was just as promised, very comfortable, well fitted out and with lots of thoughtful items such as games, books, shoe racks with seats, wet room, netflix.

..Some of the doors inside and out where difficult to open and shut and some of the kitchen utensils had been put in drawers unwashed presumably by previous visitors but these were easily overcome...the comfy sofas, private parking/outdoor seating and generous, firm beds made for a fantastic stay - in a great location for exploring the fascinating Scarborough. Would definitely book again and recommend it!

We had a great stay.

The house had the benefit of off the road parking behind gates. It is located along a fairly busy road but we didn't notice any noise so not a problem. The beds were very comfortable. If I was to make a suggestion maybe look at the shower rail and a new curtain. The toilet seats as well but those are just suggestions didn't impact on the overall excellent experience. Would we stay again? Yes

This place was perfect for us!

The 6 of us had plenty of space and everything we needed for a great holiday. Already planning to return next year. The house was spotless and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into making it an ideal holiday home.

We would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage which is in a great location.

Only 10 minutes walk from South Bay & the Italian Gardens. Would happily stay again.

Brilliant holiday let.

Top quality furnishings and appliances. Clever use of space, the playroom was a godsend! Everything had being matched and it had a real seaside theme which we loved. Well done, we would love to visit again.

This is a lovely property which is well located near South Bay.

It's very well equipped and everything is modern and comfortable. We had a great time here.

The cleanliness of the property was second to non and no chipped crockery which really makes a nice change in holiday lets.

I would highly recommend this house especially with it having off street parking which is very rare in Scarborough. The owners have thought of everything no shortage of any cooking equipment and really nice touch with the cleaning and welcome packs. Ideal location for the South side but if walking some quite steep hills to face on the way back but we loved it. Thank you

Good location, especially for the South Bay in Scarborough.

Secure off road parking a real bonus. Good local amenities, especially the Ramshill Road Fish and Chip Shop and the restaurant Tuscany Too. House is very well kitted out and beds comfortable. Nice having extra sitting room/snug downstairs. Really enjoyed our trip and were blessed with good weather and cricket going to the last over of the final day of the county match, Yorkshire v Surrey. House about a 35 minute walk from cricket ground.

Absolutely brilliant property, only a short distance into town or to the beach.

We've only stayed in a couple of properties in scarborough but we cannot fault this one at all. Spotlessly clean and everything you need from dishwasher to walk in shower(don't mix them up

Lovely holiday home - spotlessly clean, well equipped.

Off road parking and secure outside space a massive plus for a holiday let. Excellent location easy walk to local shops, town centre, seafront, train station.

The pictures dont do this house justice, it’s beautifully and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like home.

We had a lovely week in a great location.

If anything the description underplays how handy it is for the town centre and clifftop walks. also the local shops etc were useful without having to move the car. Would love to come back!

High standard of decoration, cosy, off road parking for 2 cars on a busy street, wifi, smart TV, close to shops and amenities, cot and high chair for baby (although bring safety gates for the stairs

Location is great for South Bay and the property had everything we needed.

Was disappointed with the presentation of the lounge, it looked as is the cushions had been thrown on the sofa from a distance. We also didn’t use the oven/grill as it didn’t look like it had been cleaned, nor did behind the sofa when I reached to turn the lamp on.

It’s a very nice cottage, with plenty of room for everyone.

There’s off road parking for two cars and the double gates make the place seem secure. Location is good, you can walk to the South Bay or to the town centre. Overall, a nice place to stay.

There were a couple of hiccups at the beginning (not the owners' fault), but the owners were very friendly, apologetic and helpful.

The property is as advertised and more, comfortable and well-equipped. Be aware of the sloping ceilings in the upstairs bathroom and in one bedroom, as per the photos - they do get in the way a bit. Took a little while to get our bearings but South Bay walkable within 10 minutes and there are a couple of mini supermarkets within a few minutes walk of the property. We managed to get 3 cars on the drive without it being too much of a squeeze. An enjoyable stay and I would recommend this property.
