Stable Cottage

A lovely cottage in a lovely area, very quiet, remote and peaceful.

Spotlessly clean accommodation, really good size for the price, super comfy beds, a nice shower and bathroom, kitchen had everything needed, good WiFi, comfy sitting room - it was perfect for our short stay and I would highly recommend. The owner Elaine even left us a home-baked cake and homemade jam, milk, tea, coffee etc which was a lovely touch. Owners communication was perfect and we had no issues finding or accessing the property. Big thank you to the owners

The cottage was delightful, clean and cosy.

Having all the outdoor courtyard and lawn to ourselves with our dog was a bonus. So quiet and peaceful. We are going to book again for next year. Would highly recommend

We enjoy the peaceful location, comfortable cottage and large secure garden for our dog to run around in. Elaine and Matthew are always on hand if you need anything.

We felt at home from day one,the cottage was comfortable and Elaine had left us the best lemon drizzle cake ever.

The garden and surrounding countryside was so beautiful and peaceful, only noise was birds song.Elaine and Matthew were helpful and friendly.

Accommodation in a peaceful location, perfect place to come home to after a day out

Owners are most helpful, the accommodation was very clean and tidy, lovely patio area to sit and listen to birdsong , power shower great and the kitchen is well equipped

Lovely cottage, lots of little extras provided like milk, washing up liquid, tea towels, hand soaps, shower gel etc.

We ate out at the Falcon Inn a couple of times (Sunday lunch is really good) and it’s just a short walk through the village. Beverley races is a nice day out and Hornsea is a short drive away with plenty of little shops and cafes. We had a lovely relaxing week here which is what we needed and wanted.

Perfect stay. beds comfortable, cottage warm and welcoming, clean and good power shower. Fantastic enclosed large garden perfect for dog with bonus of hot tub which was used every day. Peaceful and quiet, the only sound bird song. Superb dog walking area immediately outside- miles of open fields. Near to Hornsea for the beach. Lovely hosts who are very unobtrusive and bake gorgeous lemon drizzle cake.

It was even better than we expected. The private garden was great and we felt like nothing was too much trouble as Elaine and Matthew were lovely and very accommodating. We felt safe and tucked away in the cottage. We will be seeing them again next year

Stayed over Christmas at this beautiful cottage.

The owners were brilliant from the email before we went explaining everything and greeting us on arrival. The lemon drizzle cake was delicious. Property was spotless, comfy bed just brilliant. Are own private gardens at the back and we were in the hot tub everyday. I would highly recommend staying at stable cottage.

The standard and quality of the amenities, accommodation and hosting was excellent. The courtyard was fantastic for our dog and was so peaceful. We have already recommended stable cottage to friends and hopefully we will.be visiting again soon. The hosts were very helpful and on hand if required but not intrusive.

Owners Elaine & Matthew couldn't do enough for us . Even bought my husband an helium balloon for his birthday on the day we arrived and made a delicious lemon drizzle cake . We will recommend to friends & family and we will definitely be back . Thankyou once again Elaine & Matthew.

we would give it 10 stars but 5 will have to do.a very peaceful setting with everything you would need on hand.so to sum up if you want a top class cottage for you and your pooch book this one with confidence.

Beautifully restored stable block 5* accommodation and owners have fitted it out with all the essentials you need for day to day requirements for a truly comfortable vacation.

A superb and tranquil cottage .

..Elaine and Matthew were great owners and nothing too much trouble . We all enjoyed pur stay...highlights were Bridlington and Burnby Hall Gardens. You must try the Railway Inn and Blacksmiths Arms for great home cooked food.

We had a lovely stay at this dog friendly cottage.

Our Labrador Herbert particularly loved the freedom and run of the enclosed garden. We loved the warmth and cosy features in the cottage and it's quiet location. It's a wonderful base to explore the countryside and east coast beaches. We felt very much at home.

Enclosed garden great for our dog and the hot tub was a real bonus. Owners friendly and helpful and the welcome cake, milk and dog biscuits were a very thoughtful touch.

Stable cottage met all our needs.

It was quiet and comfortable and the hot tub was a bonus. As we were there for 2 weeks, Elaine and Matthew allowed us to use their laundry facilities mid-stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We would return in the future.

A LITTLE GEM Stable cottage was clean and comfortable, with a private courtyard for sitting out - very quiet and full of a variety of plants.

Hot tub, a lovely way to relax (with robes supplied)! Made to feel very welcome by Elaine and Matthew, with a delicious lemon drizzle cake. Ideal countryside for cycling with many quiet country lanes ... and it's flat!!

The setting was wonderful and peaceful.

The courtyard was secure for our dog and the location excellent for our usual visits along the coast. The cake left by the owners was scrumptious and the cottage well equipped for our family. Wi-Fi and TV good, the hot tub was brilliant and truly made us feel pampered. Thank you to the hosts who were on hand if needed but didn’t impose at all during the stay. We hope to be back!

We had a lovely week at stable cottage, safe courtyard for our little dog and set in a great village with easy access to the coast.

Nice and friendly owners who weren't obtrusive but were just a text message away if needed. Pity the weather wasn't kind to us but we made the best of it. Many thanks for a nice week away.

The cottage is excellent and great location the garden is perfect for our little dog and what a treat the hot tub is.

Having two outside eating areas is ideal for morning and evening eating we enjoying so much this is our second time at cottage and we have booked to come back a third time. The hosts Elaine and Matthew are fantastic people and great to talk to.The parking area would greatly benefit from a car port as every morning you have to clean your windscreen or cover it due to being under a tree and birds but still won't stop from coming back next year.

Owners provided treats including a scrumptious homemade lemon drizzle cake when we arrived. Cottage has everything you need and is clean and comfortable. It is in a peaceful location too. Definitely recommend.

Hot tub was lovely at the end of the day. Great that the travel cot and high chair were provided so we didn't have to bring these for our 9 month old. The lemon drizzle cake was a lovely touch and extremely yummy! Thank you!

We've had a fantastic week at Stable Cottage.

The cottage is very cosy and the everything you need is supplied. The little touches make the difference. The local pub is very welcoming and the food is very good. Would definitely re book.

Great property.

Being very very pedantic and it being a 1st world problem, the Netflix signal wasn't great and sometimes we had to watch normal TV!!! But this is I stress a very minor issue and didn't detract from the stay. The hot tub is great, however the mounting for it is a bit dodgy esp. in wind. Again, not a lot the owners can do on this due to the shape of the hot tub. We were able to leave the hot tub lid down and only 2 of us were able to sit in there with no issues so again not a real issue. Cleanliness was brilliant and for the 1st time, I can remember, all the beds and furniture was very comfy and a pleasure to sit/lie in. Pity about the weather as the courtyard looks brilliant and would love to see what this is like in the summer months!!

It was so peaceful, clean and warm. A wonderful enclosed garden for the dog. The hot tub in the garden was a fantastic bonus that we used most days. Thoroughly recommend this Cottage.

This is an absolutely top notch holiday property!

Lovely layout, well furnished and lovingly decorated. So many little extras from a truly thoughtful couple. The enclosed courtyard is a fabulous space for both human and dog to enjoy.

Elaine and Matthew are the most considerate of hosts from the welcome pack to the luxurious dressing gowns.

The garden was so peaceful and relaxing. The hot tub great. If you book Stable Cottage you will not be disappointed.

Was a brilliant holiday couldn't fault anything but the niggle we found was the hob was difficult to operate was grateful for the additional hotplate found in cupboard.

Everything provided like the robes was excellent the owners went above and beyond with all the extras they provided us with and the peace and quiet and secret garden for dog was brilliant best holiday we've had in fact we've booked for next year.

Everything about our stay was perfect.

The location was so private and peaceful. It was the little touches that made it for us, dog towels, kitchen essentials, toilet roll and the ice cream! Real thought had obviously been given to what makes a genuine difference on a practical level. The cottage was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. We used the private hot tub in the courtyard every day and it was a welcome relief after a long walk.

! From start to finish we had the best time. Great communication from owners when you had a question, amenities supplied were top notch! Beds comfy, rooms clean, fridge freezer great size for all our Christmas food/snacks! Dog bowls provided, dog/beach towels provided, which was a great addition. Robes for the hot tub were also a massive plus! Nicely decorated for Christmas - minimal but great for the size and keeping of the cottage. The garden space is brilliant, my dog loved it and to say it was a shared courtyard it still felt very private. So many positives. The nearest supermarket is in Hornsea, (Tesco) we took all our food with us but there was no need really as we could’ve got everything when we got there as to say it was Christmas the Tesco was really quiet! Had a couple of nice walks but the highlight were the beaches. We did drive to them but they are definitely walkable. We went to Mappleton beach and Hornsea beach. The dog had the best time, I don’t think he was very pleased when we got home and saw our much smaller garden

the garden's and out side space was lovely and Elaine and Matthew we're warm and welcoming.

I knew when I picked Stable cottage it was going to be nice but it is fair to say my expectations were exceeded.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, spotless and very comfortable with everything you might need. Courtyard was a lovely place to sit out in or for our dog's frisbee practice.

We left some (very minor) feedback points for the owner when we left.

On the whole it was a lovely, private and secluded accommodation and we had a great week in a modern home from home environment. Pet friendly with a private garden area and a number of walks from the doorstep for the dog, when we weren't out further afield.

Beautiful surroundings and decor. So peaceful. Our little dog and our 2 children loved the secure garden and surrounding areas for walks etc. Garden was little sun trap. Close to mappleton beach and hornsea. Some lovely little pubs that serve food within a short car journey or the falcon inn was a short walk. The hosts were lovely and privided little extras that were much appreciated. Will definitely rebook. 10/10

Apart from no dishwasher or second WC, this cottage is perfect.

Stunning location with beautiful period features, whilst being clean and modern.Set in beautiful, privately enclosed garden with wonderful hot tub. Ideal for those with a dog or without. Very comfortable beds, with a powerful shower and nice bath and large fluffy towels and bathrobes. We were not keen on the local pub,but understand that there is a good one in Ellerby, about 3 miles away. Nice country walks nearby. We had great trips to Mappleton Sands and its great cafe and to Burton Constable Hall, also with great cafe.Further trips took us twice to Beverley for its scenery and nice shops. Good Tesco also at Hornsea. Nothing negative to say about our trip here. It is a little paradise.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable when we arrived. There is a nice garden to sit in, if the weather allows, and a hot tub which our girls made a good use of. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Overall, would highly recommend.

The cottage exceeded all our expectations and was exactly as described.

The milk, tea, coffee and all the goodies were a lovely surprise. Our dog loved the central, secure garden which must be a delight in the summer months. Plus being safe for children. Ideally situated for exploring the gorgeous east coast which provides many attractions to suit all ages or a retreat for those seeking peace & tranquility.

We have just had a week staying at Stabke Cottage and it far exceeded our expectations.

The description in the advert does not do it justice. It was spotlessly clean in all areas, the beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in. The facilities were fantastic and extra bounus of the hot tub, which despite the weather was a welcome but of luxury. We have already booked again for later in the year. An exceptional property, very quiet, but a short ride to Hornsea and surrounding areas.

Only not exceeded because we had high expectations based on the description and our experience of Sykes.

The cottage is remote, yet easily accessible. The garden is enclosed yet feels so open (if that makes sense!). Totally recommended for a peaceful escape. The owners were very welcoming and available, if needed.

Elaine & Matthew have got an absolute gem. Everything you need in a perfectly clean cottage finished to a very high standard . Beautiful grassy courtyard, safe for the dog . Lots of seating and hot tub an amazing place to watch and listen to the numerous types of birds . All set in an amazing part of the country loads of dog friendly beaches a great holiday .

The cottage was amazing lots of space, brilliant facilities and a beautiful private garden area.

Whilst the hot tub was fantastic and exclusive for our use it is on the other side of the garden to walk around to and is overlooked by the owners windows so would not describe as private.

The accomodation exceeded our expectations.

Adjoining the owners property the cottage has been very well planned. We wouldnt have known the owners were adjacent as we saw and heard very little. The Smart TV is a great addition. The bed was very comfy, and the bathroom with bath and shower very specious. The kitchen had everything we needed with a spacious fridge/freezer. The hot tub in the private courtyard was lovely to use. The courtyard itself is exclusive use by those staying. It is very spacious and our dog was able to wander and exercise securely. The cottage is surrounded by acres and acres of meadows and great walks are minutes away. It is remote and peaceful and was exactly what we was looking for. We hope to return.

Great cottage, nicely furnished.

Garden is enclosed which makes it ideal for dogs and children. Within easy reach of many beaches and places of interest. We visited Spurn, Burton Constable and Withernsea. The hot tub is the perfect treat after a day walking. The village pub does great food. Highly recommended.

Stable Cottage left us wanting for nothing.

Everything you think you need for a get away is provided with more. We met the owners who are lovely people. They made us feel very welcome. This is the best holiday home we have stayed in. We loved the big safe enclosed garden. The cottage gets 10+++ out of 10 from us.

We had a wonderful holiday.

When we arrived the owner had left us milk, biscuits, coffee, tea and even my favourite fresh flowers. The cottage was clean, warm and very comfortable- especially the bed and lovely soft pillows. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything you could want for a holiday. Loved the hot tub, and the gardens were lovely. It was quiet, peaceful and just what we needed for a short Autumn break. We would love to return.

The welcome pack of milk, biscuits and preserves was a lovely touch. Very enclosed garden meaning that our dog was safe at all times. The owners were around for any issues should we have needed them, but we didn’t. A fantastic property.

Amazing little place.

Ideal for walks and exploring the area. With a dog friendly pub in new ellersby the railway meant we could go out as well as stay in as everything was to hand. Having the tea coffee and milk on arrival was an great touch. Such a well looked after cottage loved my break and would happily go again.

Peaceful cottage in beautiful surroundings.

Stable Cottage was the perfect holiday home for us last week, it was clean, well furnished, great comfy beds with crisp white sheets - excellent holiday cottage.

The kitchen was well stocked with milk, tea, coffee, hot choc, ice cubes even a coffee making machine. The ice cream pots were an added bonus. We really didn't need to take kitchen roll, washing up liquid or tea towels as everything was supplied. The bathroom was just as well equipped with shampoo, body wash, toilet rolls and the all important white soft towels (enough for 3 each) all in all this place was just perfect. Nice touches even down to Netflix. The garden was enclosed and beautifully planted and kept the puppy contained, i'll miss the smell of jasmine on my walk to the hot tub which was the best part of my stay and was maintain daily by the hot tub fairy... This place is just simply perfect....

The pictures on the website don't do it justice. The cottage is very clean and decorated to a high standard. Surrounding countryside is very picturesque. Bridlington South beach was clean, quiet with a good long stretch of beach. Within driving distance for Whitby and York. Would definitely recommend this cottage to family and friends.

it was a lovely peaceful setting, and the cottage felt 'home from home', our little dog Harry, settled in a treat, and we would definitely stay again!

As a family we really enjoyed the peace and space that came with the cottage.

The garden area is safe and secure and our children (aged 4 and 7) loved playing and exploring in it. The hosts were very friendly and available if needed but at the same time would give space for us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage was of high quality and very clean. We enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay and would definitely consider returning

We loved the cottage, it was just what we needed, peace and quiet alongside everything in the cottage we could possibly need for a weeks stay.

The cottage was lovely and homely and very tastefully decorated with a lovely enclosed sunken garden that the dog loved. The hot tub was a lovely end to a busy day exploring with a seating area deliberately placed in the evening sunshine to make the most of the weather.

Everything you could possibly need and immaculately presented. Hornsea is a very short drive away and tesco/beach easy to find. Although Hornsea does have sand it is quite stony so useful to bring shoes that are waterproof. Hot tub was wonderful asset as you could sit in and enjoy the wafting smell of jasmine plants and watch the local birds swoop overhead - complete bliss.

Hot tub great. There were some lovely extra touches, flowers, biscuits, ice cream, left by the owners which we appreciated.

The attention to detail in the cottage decor and cleanliness was exceptional.

The garden area and hot tub are an absolute pleasure, even in April in the rain! We were welcomed with milk, jam, coffee and tea etc on arrival and found everything we could possibly need in the cupboards. The smart TV was a particular hit with our teenagers, who watch several films in the evenings. The beds were lovely and comfy and the bathroom was clean and bright. The local area is beautiful. Unfortunately, the local pub is not dog friendly anymore, but the Marine in Hornsea is and we enjoyed a meal and a football match there. We were in the perfect place to visit Beverley, Bridlington an Scarborough amongst others and found Hornsea itself great for watching the waves crash in and getting takeaways, eating in little dog friendly cafes and of course Tesco for the essentials. A very varied holiday encompassing everything from Speed boat rides to lazy book reading in the hot tub. Lovely holiday with lots of great memories, would recommend.

This property is absolutely fabulous, outdoor space out of this world, lovely comfortable bed but lounge furniture unfortunately uncomfortable.
