  • "This is a lovely little apartment, extremely close to the beach and close to local take away and shops."

Unfortunately there was a lot of dust on the glass tables and extractor fan. The fan in the bathroom was thick with dust and there was a lot of cobwebs above the curtain in the living room. A plug socket in the kitchen was really loose and could ease be pulled out of the wall and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Woke up every morning with a bad back. Its that this/soft I could use two fingers to squish it together. A new mattress could be a good idea. There was also dog hair on the bedding. I know its dog friendly but it might be worth keeping bedding separate for people who dont have dogs. Overall it was a lovely stay. A bottle of processo and milk was left in the fridge for us along with a welcome basket with maltersers coffee tea biscuits and 2 stick of rocks. I believe these small improvements would make it a much better stay. With the current mattress Unfortunately we wouldn't stay again but if that changes we would definitely be back.

Thank you for your constructive review and we apologise if the flat was not up to our expected standards, your feedback has been relayed to the cleaning team who have assured us this will not happen again. We have taken on board the comment about the mattress and have put a topper on it and we are looking to replace it on our yearly maintenance upkeep. Kindest Regards George Property Owner

However, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. It was both too soft and the springs were too hard.

Thank you Isobel for your constructive review We have taken this onboard and we are looking to replace the mattress in our yearly maintenance We look forward to welcoming you again Kindest regards George Property Owner

  • "THANK YOU George and the team from Mick Debbie and Abbey the dog."

We found number 8 to be a perfect apartment for two and a dog. Everything in the apartment for a “romantic” get a way including the gift of bubbles and chocolates in the welcome pack along with the milk, coffee and teabags for that first brew on arrival…..Abbey says don’t forget to mention how she enjoyed the tasty dog treats too. We had some pouring rain, however whatever the weather, apartment 8 has such stunning sea views and is so comfy there is no need to venture out to feel you’ve had a break by the sea. We already have a sea view apartment At Hunters Quay, not only on our must return to list, but also as a definite winter break destination. Town and the supermarkets were walkable for us and with the beach only a hop skip and a jump away we were able to do plenty of short beach walking between showers and a longer one on a finer day. With the spa theatre in such close proximity, we will also keep an eye on events there, as apartment 8 will make a super theatre break destination. All in all we think George and his helpful team tick all boxes and provide a gem of a place to make happy memories by the sea without any need to worry about parking with the included parking permit. Added bonus as everything is so close no need to use the car. All in all this apartment is highly recommended by us

Ideal location right on the sea front with fantastic views of the ocean. Also a nice little touch of a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate on arrival, perfect!

  • "We'd like to thank George and his mum for giving us such a warm welcome and the little extras In the fridge & hamper on arrival was a nice touch too."

Including the doggy treats! We had a lovely time staying in Hunters Quay and would definitely recommend to others for a getaway. What we missed the most when we got home was waking up in the morning and not seeing the beautiful sea views or having our brekkie by the window and feeling 100% chilled. Thank you for all your help and support in a time of a crisis at the end of our breakaway, great customer service goes a long way with us! 5* service, great location, hosts extremely helpful. Would highly recommend!

  • "The actual apartment was lovely, but the front garden area was untidy and full of overgrown weeds rather than plants."

The stairwell was also very scruffy with marked walls, a large damp patch and the stair carpet needed a hoover. This made me rather nervous but the actual apartment was super clean with good linen and towels plus a welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates - which was lovely - like the great sea views. The kitchen was well equipped but the brand new washing machine isn't actually connected to a water supply so can't be used! Don't be put off by the run down look of the first 2 houses in Pembroke Terrace, Hunter's Quay is a great place to stay and excellent value for money.

Hi Christine, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and we are sorry the first impressions are not quite there yet, we have been focusing our efforts on the apartments themselves and and the hallways are a result of furniture moving up and down we are also now starting to work on the front to make sure it compliments the apartments. We hope you understand and thank you for the feedback as it is always helpful. Cheers again George Property Owner
