  • "Greeted by the owner's who couldn't have been more helpful, there property was beautiful, everything was spotless, the photo's online don't do it justice, I spent a week there and enjoyed every minute."

There are many places to visit just a short drive away, a superb bakery in hovingham around 2 miles away and a good local shop in the same location. I most certainly have no hesitation in recommending this property, I personally wouldn't think twice about returning, many thanks to Gerry and Ali

  • "Really Beautiful and Extremely Well presented Cottage I can’t say enough positive things about this cottage."

The host Alison and Gerry were there to greet us upon arrival and are super nice and friendly. The cottage is just so well kept and you can see they pay so much attention to detail. The cottage was spotless upon arrival and a very thoughtful cake and milk was there to be enjoyed. They even left dishwasher tablets and clothes washing tablets. This came in so handy as we had just completed a 10 day cruise prior to our arrival and we so needed to wash our laundry. If I had to make any suggestions I would say an extra set of towels and a clothesline. Overall this is a really beautiful and perfect cottage for a couple to enjoy Thank You Ali and Gerry for letting us enjoy your perfect cottage Date of experience: 23 September 2023

  • "A stunning little cottage and a very warm reception from the owner who was extremely helpful."

The place looked like it had just been built and greatly exceeded our expectations, while the view from upstairs was pretty special too. We tend not to re-visit places but this may prove the exception.

There were lovely walks from the front door where you could appreciate the views even more. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and had all that we needed for a wonderful relaxing week. Would definitely stay again in the future.

  • "The property was great."

We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly, and even provided cake and milk. The cottage was accurate to the listing. I only marked it down slightly as there were only 2 saucepans. It would have been good to have information in "the folder" about restaurants in the area. (Yes, we could have asked the owners, but didn't want to bother them.) My husband particularly liked the bedroom charging sockets.

  • "The property suited our needs, very convenient for our days out to various places."

The road noise was more than we had expected, it is a busy road. It was a pity that there is`nt a solid fence between the cottage and the neighbours, for privacy. Otherwise, we had a good stay.

  • "Excellent accommodation for two people."

Well located for surrounding towns such as Helmsley and Thirsk. Private off road parking was great, although you had to be mindful of traffic on the adjacent B road which was obviously busier at work times. Hosts, Gerry & Ali were lovely when we met them and we encountered no problems which needed their attention. A thoroughly lovely break which included my own birthday midweek. We would certainly recommend this accommodation ☝️
