  • "We found the accommodation very modern and stylish, and also very warm and cosy."

We liked that it was situated in the quiet area of the park and we walked to the gorgeous beach and beachside cafe (The Salty Dog) everyday. The lodge was very comfortable, and all the little essentials were provided. We had an amazing stay and will definitely book again. Thank you!

Only problem was flooding at bottom of steps, but that’s always been a problem on this holiday park with heavy rain Didn’t manage to stop us enjoying the facilities, or the week away.

Thankyou for your review! We’re so glad you had a good stay despite the muddy path outside. Hopefully we can welcome you back in the summer when the weather will be in your side. Rachel & Phil Ferdinand Property Owner

  • "Amazing caravan, amazing stay!"

A few issues path to the caravan was very muddy, pallets was already in place but made it very difficult to navigate to the caravan especially with a child and a dog. We arrived late in the evening and there was no outside lighting the street lamp was not working throughout our week stay either. Still enjoyed our holiday and the caravan is very well presented.

Great quiet location on the park, lots of wildlife squirrels, rabbits. Close to the beach where we did a lot of fossil hunting. If being a little picky washing up liquid and spare toilet roll would be good. Internet was very difficult to connect to for us. Had a great holiday though thank you.

  • "A high class lodge in a quiet and peaceful location on this massive site."

Fixtures and fittings well above average. Very comfortable and well equipped. But... KEY SAFE DID NOT OPEN. Faffed around in the gathering dark in the rain for an hour before gaining entry. Reported to Sykes, the owner, and Reception staff. Tried by them but still not working. Borrowed their keys throughout stay. No washing up liquid. No spare loo rolls or bin bags evident. Just 2 liquid hand wash bottles, both empty. No instruction leaflet with microwave. Suggest hirers BRING A TORCH as kitchen and key safe area very dark.

We’re very sorry you had a problem with the key safe. Thankyou so much for bringing it to our attention so we can make arrangements to get a new one installed asap. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us and will welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Rachel & Phil Ferdinand. Property Owner

  • "The kitchen floor had not been swept and there were crumbs all over the worktop."

The microwave interior had not been cleaned. A welcome pack would have been appreciated - milk/bread etc. In the en-suite shower room the sliding door mechanism was broken and the toilet lid was too small for the toilet bowl. This is the second Sykes property where cleanliness could have been better.

I’m sorry you experienced some issues during your stay. We’ve never had a problem with cleanliness before but I’ll be sure to pass on your comments. The shower door has come unhooked when we’ve been staying and simply slides back into place. Thankyou for your review. Best wishes, Rachel & Phil Ferdinand Property Owner

  • "Finch 15 was 10/10."

The location was lovely and quiet on the edge of the park. I could not fault anything about the lodge. It was very clean and fresh smelling. Very well equipped and furnished to high standards and the lodge is very spacious. Plenty of information from the owners about the equipment and places to visit. We put a travel cot in the main bedroom which fitted in nicely and still room to maneuver. There was a selection of games and toys for the kids to borrow. I would highly recommend Finch 15. Skyes Cottages were also great, easy to book and accurate detailed information given.

Thankyou for your great review. Holidays with children aren’t always easy but we’ve been there too and glad you all had a good holiday! We’d love to welcome you back to Finch 15 again. Best wishes, Rachel & Phil Ferdinand x Property Owner

Lovely accommodation, couldn't fault it at all, had everything we needed, unfortunately we had bad weather even hail stone, so by Wednesday we'd had enough and went home early, doesn't help when you've got a dog as you can't do much on site as there was only two of us and he doesn't do the wet , which we had lots of on and off but that was nothing to do with the accommodation, that was 5star and we'd highly recommend this accommodation

Thankfully for your great review. What a shame the weather wasn’t good. Hopefully we’ll see you again in the sunshine. Love & best wishes, Rachel & Phil. Property Owner

The location on the park was a lovely quiet spot and the lodge is a great layout. We didnt really need it, but would have liked it for using the Smart TV for a film in the evening, but there was no wi-fi and we didnt have a direct number for you to see if it was a simple issue to resolve (I know we could have called Sykes but we still had a nice time). the beach was great and the slope kept us fit. Thanks, Martin

Thankyou for you review! We’re glad you had a great holiday and liked the lodge. We’ve had a couple of problems with the Wi-Fi but it’s now all sorted and on a private account. Thankyou, love and best wishes, Rachel & Phil Ferdinand Property Owner

  • "We had a great time at 15 Finch."

The site was much bigger than we expected but it was very quiet the only neighbours were the squirrels, magpies and rabbits. The van is on the perimeter of the park which as a setting was great but it meant a walk all the way through the park and across the road before the steep walk down to the beach, however worth the walk. Again a quiet beach with just the sand martins for company. The caravan was very clean and comfortable with all you need provided. Our dog had our first holiday there and if asked l am sure she would recommend it!!!

Thankyou for your great review! We’re glad you enjoyed the lodge and had a relaxing holiday. The beach is a lovely one isn’t it? Especially in the sunshine. Love & best wishes, Rachel & Phil Ferdinand. Property Owner

  • "Our Easter Weekend at 15 Finch was fabulous."

I am a bit picky with accommodation but this was perfect. Very clean, well presented, fully stocked with everything you would need for a holiday, home from home. Our granddaughter loved the toys, books etc. The property is situated in a lovely quiet area of the park and was a 5 minutes walk from the entertainment. We went to the beach (with a 1 year old and pushchair) and this was as described. A few steep steps down to the beach but we managed. The addition of the buckets and spades was a lovely touch, saved us buying some. We visited Scarborough and Whitby for days out. I would highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you Rachel and Phil for sharing your beautiful lodge x
