  • "What can I say about Finch65 Fantastic we had the best holiday in this lovely lodge everything you need lovley soft furnishings great sofa bed kids beds like proper single beds not the small like you get in caravans and the double bedroom was massive bed was lovley and comfortable."

    The owners have put table mats and a bowl in sink so other reviews have been looked at and taken action once again great lodge lovley wraparound decking we can't waite to go back only one thing was 6 of us and hub tickets cost me £150 but in show bar people just walking in that was bad cause I wasted 150 on hub tickets but lodge was great

  • "Finch 65 is a lovely lodge."

    There are just a few things that would make it even better such as: Placemats for the table. We used paper underneath our plates so we didn't mark the table. Tea towels. We had to buy some. More than one toilet roll in the bathrooms. We also had to ring out of hours service as we couldn't receive more than channel 1 on the tv. Engineers came out and fixed the majority of channels, but was still without ITV. No Internet. Despite all this, we had a wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable. The area was lovely. The lodge was really clean. Plenty of storage. Comfortable sofas. There were no instructions to the oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, but it didn't take me long to work the cooker and microwave out. Didn't use dishwasher and washing machine so can't comment. Overall: wonderful and will return.

  • "A very well equipped lodge in a perfect part of the park."

    Only downside was the lodge WiFi didn't work and the park WiFi kept going down. We was out most days tho so didn't really affect us. The lodge is beautiful and in a peaceful area with plenty of wildlife. The patio furniture wasnt very comfortable and needs replacing. Overall a nice place to stay. Hope to return ☺️

  • "Overall the property lived up to our expectations."

    We have stayed here before and knew what to expect. The accomodation is of a high standard and the location on the park is one of the few left with a good outlook and space around it. Was disappointed to find towels were not provided, this is the first holiday accomodation where this has happened to us. Also some of the cooking equipment is in need of replacement and strangely no placemats available. A manual with instructions for the electrical equipment would also be useful. Once again a good holiday with just a few niggles.

  • "Had a lovely short break Been here before."

    Just one or two small issues. Bowl needed for kitchen sink as sink getting marked. Bath plug was blocked and water was not draining away. My husband cleared it. Not sure why cleaner hadn’t. Caravan was comfy, cosy and lots of space. Would definitely go again.

  • "We have just returned from a very enjoyable, relaxing week."

    Finch 65 provided spotlessly clean, quiet, well furnished and sensibly equipped accommodation. It’s an ideal base for visiting Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington. (All are served by the number 12 bus, which stops at the park entrance). The park is vast, but well maintained and staffed. Ask at Reception for a site plan, to get your bearings. (It’s also available online). Finch is an attractive sector, with larger plots radiating round an open grassed area; there’s privacy and designated parking, with little passing traffic, and it’s well away from the leisure area! We would be happy to book Finch 65 again, but less enthusiastic about other areas of the park where vans are packed in like sardines. Big pluses: comfortable beds and sofas, good showers; excellent storage space and shelves throughout; the kitchen was one of the best we have encountered self-catering; a massive fridge/freezer, five-ring gas hob, double oven, double sink. The main bedroom and the lounge/dining area were spacious. (The bit in between was a wee bit cramped.) There were thoughtful details – e.g. plenty of power points, coat hooks and shoe rack. We didn’t watch TV or use the dishwasher, the other appliances were a doddle. Our only suggestion would be a washing up bowl and draining rack – does everyone really use a dishwasher for just a few plates? Oh, and a couple of saucepans are a bit tired-looking. A couple of minuses: the Wi-Fi connection was distinctly patchy; and the nearby ‘recycling point’ marked on the map only had general waste bins. We reported to cleaning staff a couple of things that need attention – a loose toilet seat, and the gate lock needs a dose of WD40. This did not detract from our enjoyment. We recommend the walk down to the beach. The path is steep but well maintained and half way down/up you will find a kiosk which is way superior to the usual roadside refreshments shack. Excellent coffee, tray-bakes, and clean loos. But check the tide table first!

  • "The caravan is lovely and we had a great week."

    There are a few things that maybe need looking at, the drain in the bath is blocked and the bathroom smells quite musty. I didn’t realise when we booked that we needed to pay for the site passes to use the pool. The site had loads for the kids to do and overall we had a great week.

  • "A very clean, comfortable accommodation on a quiet area of the site with off-road parking next to the van."

    It was well equipped for cooking, a nice big smart tv with comfy settees in the lounge, two bathrooms both had showers and the en-suite had a bath. Plenty of space in the master bedroom which had a walk in wardrobe. We were kept very warm by the central heating, even though the weather was cold. Only slight negatives: a couple of spare toilet rolls, a spare rubbish sack, instructions for appliances and a few cleaning products would have been good. This didn’t spoil our holiday overall we had a great time and would recommend.

  • "The accommodation was absolutely fantastic and would certainly love to return."

    The location is good for visiting surrounding resorts. The site was 'out of season', which suited us, as it was very quiet. Overall the cleanliness of the property was excellent. However the cooker/hob, splash back and pans were very greasy and had to be cleaned before use. We took our own dishwasher tablets rather than use the dishwasher sheets supplied, other than that excellent.

  • "Property is lovely and well laid out, comfortable with good surrounding area, cleanliness was good except for some of the cups and glasses were not clean and some pans need replacing, we reported to sykes cottages that the small bathroom sink did not have a plug so couldn't be used and was told it was in hand although not rectified while we were there, very pleasant and well thought out lodge."

    Myself, husband, daughter & partner & granddaughter had a lovely holiday in the lodge & my granddaughter celebrated her 5th birthday while there & had the best time,we all loved the property it had everything we needed & more,it is on a lovely quiet part of the park & my granddaughter loved the grass area to run around & play safely,Myself & husband will be booking again very soon just the two of us & also booking again for next year as a family

  • "A beautifully appointed lodge in a very pleasant location on the site."

    We have stayed in several properties on the site and this was one of the best. The interior of the lodge was clean and tidy but the large patio area would have benefited from a thorough cleaning and the patio furniture needs updating, no glass on table top. Found it strange that there was no vacuum cleaner in the property to enable us to keep it clean and tidy ( not even a customs and brush) and the mood in the cupboard were dirty and smelly. Small points which improve a lovely property.

    There was everything that you could ever need and more. The beds were so comfortable that I’m going to buy one. It was spotless. The site was extremely well run and quiet and the food in the restaurant was lovely too with helpful staff. Thank you to the owners of finch 65 for such an enjoyable holiday.

  • "This caravan was beautiful and just so well equipped and comfortable."

    The caravan site is large and noisy near the entertainment area but we were well away from any noise in a really quiet area at the very back of the site. It was in my opinion, the nicest part of the site, quiet, peaceful and overlooking a large green space. It was lovely sitting on the wrap around, fully fenced and gated terrace and wonderful to have outdoor furniture. The caravan was equipped with everything needed to be able to self cater The large television provided lots of channels. The Wi-Fi worked a treat. There was plentiful hot water in the two bathroom areas and the shower had excellent power. The owners of this property should be proud and whoever cleans and keeps it looking as it does should be acknowledged for doing an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this property if you are staying in this area of North Yorkshire. I was very pleasantly surprised that a caravan could be this good.

    Finch 65 was spotless, very modern & so comfy. The photos on website dont do justice. It had everything we needed and more. Location is in a quite area of the park and was a 10 min slow walk away from facilities which was perfect for us. Will definitely be back.

    Lodge was amazing photos didn't do justice, it's even better in inside, the only complaint we had, was while we were there storm darraugh brought cause to the site and our garden furniture blew off decking and glass broke on table, at this time of year because of weather conditions it would have been best if the furniture had been secured, although it didn't not spoil our stay, the Christmas theme the site did was amazing, thank our host for a very special stay

  • "The accommodation was excellent, we loved the spacious master bedroom with a dual aspect, en-suite, and a very comfy bed."

    The Caravan seemed very new and it was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The outside decking was spacious and well-presented, and the location on the park was excellent. There was a small negative which we have already shared with the owners, which hopefully they will address. We had a wonderful time and will return.
