Thank you for your feedback. We agree it’s a great spot. Unfortunately, we have as much control around Parking Attendants as we do the Seagulls stealing peoples chips! The parking rules are clearly marked around the area. Whitby isn’t easy for parking due to how popular it is so we feel lucky to have the spot we have and I hope you managed to make use of this. We also send out a very lengthy document explaining all about parking to prepare you for your stay. Thanks again and I will reiterate to future guests to check the parking signs before parking. We hope to see you again in the future x Property Owner

  • "Beautiful house, perfect location parking unfortunately was an issue."

One space for a small car at the back of property and no space outside the house you had to find parking on neighbouring streets. ( parking discs provided ) Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend and we had to use public car parks for all our 4 cars. We had a very enjoyable stay and the house had all our comforts catered for.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you liked the house and location. Unfortunately, parking is always an issue in Whitby through the nicer months. We do explain in the advert that the private space is tight; as it is. We do feel super lucky to even have the space we have as lots of places have nothing at all. I hope the parking doesn’t keep you away for future visits and we appreciate you sharing your views :) x Property Owner

  • "We booked Stewart House for a family gathering."

..our first in three years. We could not have chosen better. Our group was a mix of adults, children and dogs and we all felt so welcome and comfortable. The house and Whitby were just perfect for us all. Esther had thought of everything, including arrival surprises for humans and dogs! The house is gorgeous and we all wanted to take our beds home! Thank you so much I suspect we'll be back next year too!

Bed comfort is so important to us so I am so happy to hear that you were comfortable :) Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and we hope to see you again xx Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed staying in this large comfortable house."

All the rooms are homely and beautifully decorated and it is in a great spot for exploring Whitby. We would definitely book again for our large group of work colleagues. We liked the atmosphere of the house so much that we stayed in for all our meals, mostly from great local takeaways. On the downside, the lack of parking was a concern until we found street parking spots and used the scratch cards provided in the house. There were plenty of these available for our stay. In the kitchen we felt more tea towels, dishwasher tabs, j cloths and spare bin bags would have been useful and we did find a few sticky spots/door handles in here. Also some logs for the log burner would've been nice. Otherwise, a brilliant venue for our stay in Whitby that we thoroughly enjoyed!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us :). As a self catering home, we provide a starter pack to make sure you don't have to think about anything whilst getting settled into your stay, the same with the wood burner. We appreciate your feedback and I will let housekeeping know about the points you have mentioned. We hope to welcome you again one day Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous stay in fantastic accommodation."

The owner was really friendly and helpful. Facilities were great with lots of space to socialise. We were a group of 10 adults, but accommodation would be great for 2 or 3 families as there were 2 distinct bedroom areas. A lovely welcome pack. There was also one for my dogs which was a lovely gesture. House is close to the centre of Whitby and all the shops/pubs/beach. Lots of parking scratchcards were also provided so we had no trouble parking 5 cars for the weekend. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Will defnitely be back!

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We look forward to seeing you again xx Property Owner

  • "A beautiful house in a perfect location in Whitby."

The house was super clean on arrival and the owner had left a few bottles of fizz (one in the fridge so we could enjoy one straightaway), biscuits and tea/coffee. The house has many great entertaining spaces and the bedrooms were spacious with luxurious bed linen etc. The communication leading up to the stay was second to none, making sure we felt completely at ease regarding the stay. I have stayed in a lot of holiday houses over the last 20yrs, this has to be one of the best. 100% recommend!!

Your feedback means so much to us. Thank you for staying with us and we would love to see you again in the future xx Property Owner

  • "We were 7 adults and this was our first visit to the property."

It certainly has a wow factor and the ground floor was well laid out providing more than enough space to relax and eat. Although only one parking space the owners provided us with sufficient scratch cards to park in the neighbourhood streets at no cost and because we were so close to the town we walked everywhere. The bedrooms are excellent and there were no complaints as the beds were comfortable providing a great nights sleep. We were so pleased with the accommodation, it’s proximity to town and the ease of parking, that we plan to return next year. We highly recommend Stewart House.

  • "Had such a lovely weekend spent with friends and family for a 50th birthday celebration."

The house was centrally situated for a short walk to Whitby, the owner was most obliging and was in contact with me before we arrived to answer questions and supply extra parking permits. Lovely personal touches left like tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes (even some bottles of fizz) for us to enjoy and was also kind enough to allow us a late check out as the house wasn’t booked on the day we left. This meant we had time to cook breakfast in the well equipped kitchen before our journeys home - lovely to have plenty cutlery and plates glasses etc and good quality cooking equipment. The high quality continues throughout the house for towels and bedding and all bathrooms had toiletries to use. The house is big enough to accommodate a large group without feeling too crowded. Would recommend this accommodation and would love to return. Thanks

We are so glad you had such a lovely stay for your special occasion. Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and we would love to see you again x Property Owner
