  • "Nice house and well cared for clean and tidy ideal location shame the parking is not better, we would be happy to stay here again."

  • "Beautiful house and perfect location!"

It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were very helpful. Only downside was the lack of parking but the owners sent us directions and we found free parking, which was 5 minutes walk away so not a big issue. I would definitely recommend this house!

  • "What a fantastic property!"

We made the mistake of trying to park in the streets either side which resulted in a very tight 3 point turn and reversing down a very tight street with cars on either side. We then realised we could use the scratch card in other areas and parked, after unloading the car, about half a mile away. The property itself was fantastic and very clear with a welcome pack of Prosecco, bread, butter, jam etc, and had all the equipment we required. Make sure to take cooking oils, condiments, herbs etc. The stairs were a little challenging but the rooms were elegant and comfortable. Trillo House made a great base for exploring Whitby! Don’t forget to try the fish and chips!

The house provided enough space to relax and unwind yet all be together for socialising. The hot tub provided a relaxing touch when needed. We did not experience any parking problems and very much appreciated the parking permits provided. Thoroughly recommend this property in lovely Whitby.

All local amenities were within walking distance, beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Edwin was extremely helpful with the parking (as we took 3 cars). The hot tub was a lovely touch and the courtyard felt very private, in-spite of the central location.

It was immaculately clean, and so much more spacious than the pictures made out. Such a good space for us to visit as a family and right on the doorstep of the Whitby front. Izzy was super responsive and overall we just loved it.

  • "Trillo House was everything we hoped it would be and more!"

A wonderful period property, spacious and so beautifully furnished. The top floor bedroom was a beautiful vantage point , look out the skylight for views of the abbey. The kitchen was a home from home, so well equipped for a rental holiday home. Cooking a roast for 8 was easy! Its proximity to the town centre was a bonus. A short walk to shops and the harbour. I have stayed in many holiday homes and Trillo House was probably the best. Fluffy white robes for after your relax in the hot tub… those are the touches that made it special. We will return for sure!

Really didn't want to leave. Lots of thought had obviously gone into making the property as comfortable and attractive as possible and it showed. A marvellous welcome pack (best we have ever had) in addition to music and lights on when we arrived made us feel really welcomed. Recuperating post long illness and this was a perfect tonic.

  • "Fantastic stay at Trillo house for a family get together."

Lovely little touches of bathrobes for all, toiletries in the bathroom, wireless charging beside clocks and even a birthday balloon and cakes for our arrival. The beds were all so comfy and the kids were in awe at the size of the TV's. There was a hiccup with the hot tub on our first night but a call to the owners and it was sorted within the hour-great response. Trillos house is ideally located for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area and has a lovely mix of an older house with some modern furnishings. Two things which let this big property down are no allocated parking (however saying that we got parked up the street okay) and only one shower room for 8 people. Another suggestion to make the stay easier would be some additional cutlery and some plastic items for use outside-we didn't dare take glass in the hot tub. Would definitely book again, thanks for a lovely stay.

Our host Ed was extremely responsive and appeared within an hour when we encountered a minor problem, which he sorted out for us. The location is ideal and a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of whitby. Would highly recommend this holiday home for a large party, loved the two living room areas, plenty of space for everyone. Netflix in every room was an added bonus. The hot tub was checked regularly. • "We all really enjoyed our stay at Trillo house."

The house is centrally located and the hot tub an added bonus. We had a wonderful hamper on arrival - thank you Edwin and Izzy. There are 2 drawbacks of the house but the positives definitely outweigh these and were manageable. One, the lack of nearby parking. We were provided with passes for 2 cars for on street parking but spaces were hard to find. The other one is there was only one bathroom which for 7 people was frustrating at times, although there are 2 toilets. We were aware of these issues when booking however and they didn’t deter us and we would definitely consider returning to Trillo house in the future.
