It had all the facilities one needs when you’re away from home. Plus, a big thank you to Liz for sorting everything out for us.

  • "Absolutely brilliant accommodation."

Well presented and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, there are extra touches to make you feel welcome. It is a great base to explore Whitby, just a short walk into the centre. The onsite parking was a huge bonus. We will definitely recommend to others and we hope to return to Chandlers View!

  • "We have stayed at this property on several occasions."

It is always very clean and welcoming and perfectly placed just 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The private drive is a big bonus and we will definitely stay again. If there was one slight drawback it is the rigid 4pm access time. Of course, I understand it is necessary to state an access time. However, with other properties we have booked, we have often received a text message from the owner advising us as soon as the property is ready, which I believe is a very nice touch. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thank you.

Park up off-road before firstly entering the sitting room, complete with a homely feel, where you can kick back and unwind in front of the electric fire after a day of travelling.

Continue through to the kitchen/diner, designed for socialising with seating for five, where you can gather and enjoy mealtimes together; if you'd prefer to bask in the sunshine, take advantage of the rear, private patio.

When sleep calls, select between three spacious bedrooms, including a double with TV and a single on the first floor, and a lofty twin on the second floor.

The home is complete with a sleek bathroom, and a cloakroom, providing plenty of space to prepare for your coming days.

On your doorstep, be greeted by a host of convenience stores and supermarkets, along with a variety of dine out options, including Trenchers, The Marine Bar & Restaurant, and Harry's Lounge Bar & Brasserie.

Take to the shoreline for stunning views of the sea, before filling your day with a mix of attractions, where you can tour Whitby Museum and stroll around Pannett Park, climb the 199 Steps for elevated views of the town, before discovering the remains of Whitby Abbey, take to the River Esk by boat for an afternoon of whale watching, or grab your walking boots and follow The Cinder Track walking trail.

With the national park nearby, be spoilt for choice when hiking or cycling through the Yorkshire countryside, stopping off at beautiful spots including the Mallyan Spout Waterfall.

For another beach day, be sure to visit Scarborough and its South Bay Beach, where you can also tour Scarborough Castle, attend an event at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, or take in the beautiful scenes at Peasholm Park, before returning home for supper.

Experience all of this, and more, at Chandler's View.
