Great little property to park up and explore Whitby and all North Yorkshire has to offer.

Nice little terraced outside area to enjoy a coffee or wine. Grassy areas by harbour to toilet the dog morning and night. We had all we needed for a comfortable stay.

Estuary View was very welcoming and was in a perfect spot to explore Whitby.

It was a 10 minute stroll into the centre. We felt right at home and the place was spotless and had everything we needed, having tea and milk when we arrived was amazing and especially after a 3 hour drive. We all enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

It was perfect!

We booked our 3 night stay quite last minute, so it was lovely to pull up on arrival and see that this lovely home was just as nice as the descriptions. We wanted 2 parking spaces, some outdoor space for our little dog, comfy beds and a nice bath to ease our aching limbs after a charity walk. This place is an also a well-loved home in a good way, which made it cosy, welcoming and practical at the same time. Thank you to the owners for making it a lovely stay.

Fantastic cottage in a great quiet location, but only ten minutes walk into the centre of Whitby.

The property was spotlessly clean and has everything you require, a real home from home. Plenty of space, two driveways a nice fully enclosed garden, which is a real suntrap, and great for that first coffee of the day and breakfast on the raised decking. Inside there's everything you can think of and more, comfortable settees and beds and a really superb powerful shower. A full range of cooking utensils, a large fridge freezer and very handy instructions for tv, washing machine and all other appliances. We've stayed in a lot of places around the country and this ranks in the top 1% Could not fault a thing.

This is an amazing cottage close enough to everything but far enough away from the centre.

It was very well equipped and had had everything we needed, we also had a phone call from the owner asking us if we needed anything extra like fresh linen or towels for our stay. We have stayed in many property’s and this was one of the best we would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning in the future

What a great location in Whitby, a 10min stroll to the centre & with guaranteed large parking space.

The house was spotlessly clean, plus the kitchen & utilities room had everything that was needed on holiday. Having the enclosed patio area at the rear of the house was a bonus for our dog every morning, and it would also be a lovely area to sit when the weather was warmer. The only thing that would make visitors aware of is the upstairs. Initially, the stairs are steep when carrying cases up. The bedroom & bathroom have sloping roofs so that it can be a bit tight; we bumped our heads a few times. We are not a tall/large couple so didn't spoil our stay at the cottage. Overall would say this was one of the best Sykes cottages we have stayed in & would definately book again if going back to Whitby.

Absolutely everything we could have needed, lovely powerful and hot shower, 10 minutes stroll into town but far enough away to be quiet, off road parking so welcome as although we stayed over Christmas Whitby was still surprisingly busy, but overall loved our stay.

Lovely warm cosy cottage home from home in a great location, 5 mins walk to the center.

Whitby is a very dog friendly place to stay, we will be booking again for next year.

Cannot complain about the great location or the property itself, BUT there is no heating upstairs, so we had to sleep downstairs.

Using the upstairs as a dressing room we found that our clothes were damp causing is to leave a day earlier. We did ask for the downstairs heating to be adjusted which the owners did remotely. Also as a older generation couple we found the so called smart TV, to smart for us to use. Just thankfully that somebody left there iplayer info on he tv.

My wife and I were both very impressed with the very high standard of the property.

The furniture was very comfortable and the artwork and ornaments sat very well in the property. The kitchen utensils were also of a high standard and covered every occasion. Bed was very comfortable and the view of the abbey also a nice touch. Finally, it was very conveniently situated and close to all amenities.

Useful welcome package, clear instructions for essentials. Warm, cosy and immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable, shower was wonderful and everything we needed for a great stay was available. Bonus to have off street parking and be in easy walking distance of the town centre.

Lovely, small and conformable place to stay.

Perfect for small families, and a short walk from most attractions; having off street parking is great bonus too. Overall we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped allowing us to enjoy a few nights away. My only slight downside was that the beds and bed sheets felt so cold even with the heating on, would have loved some warm bedsheets. Overall, great cottage!

Estuary View Cottage was excellent.

The facilities were just what was needed. It's position only 10 minutes walk from the main part of Whitby was very convenient. We were able to walk with our dog on many different ealks both inland and coastall straight from the cottage

What an absolute gem of a cottage, ideal location, exceptionally clean, spacious, all facilities you need, great garden space with decking and furniture, plus the key aspect we were looking for - two off road parking spaces.

Had a fantastic stay at Estuary View.

Just a five minute walk to the centre of Whitby and some lovely walks near to the accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. The fact that we could park the car and not have to worry about finding a parking space was a must for us. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Couldn't ask for more. Car parking for 2 cars. Dog friendly with enclosed garden. Located very close to whitby harbour, just a 5 min walk. We loved our stay, luckily for us the weather was perfect. We will definitely return on our next visit to whitby and definitely recommend

Ideal cottage with good location, about 10 minutes walk to town centre and bus station; private off road parking; well equipped and comfortable house; sunny private terrace with table and chairs; good communication and directions from the owner; quiet location in cul-de-sac so no through traffic.

A minor improvement would be provision of curtains, as well as the venetian blinds in main bedroom, since by 5.00AM in late April the room was very bright. This suits my husband but I need another 3 hours darkness to sleep!

We loved our week in Estuary view, our second visit , it's a beautiful, comfortable cottage ,we had great weather so could sit out the back in the late afternoon sun ,it's a secure back patio so our little dog could be free .

The only thing that bothered us was the blinds were not dark enough in the bedroom so daylight at 5am which on holiday we didn't want . Otherwise everything perfect

This is the first time we have booked Estuary View and we were not disappointed.

Location was perfect, bed was comfortable, it was very clean and, you made my husband and dog happy by having recliners (we have them at home). Parking right outside the property & to the rear is a bonus. The garden was a sun trap so, sat out there few times during our stay in March. This was one of the best (if not the best) holiday cottages we’ve stayed at.

It was very clean, was really well equipped and so handy to have parking in a place where that is rare! It’s ideally located to easily get to other places to visit and to walk into town. We were lucky to have fantastic weather for March so that was the icing on the cake!

Lovely cottage but sadly lacking in maintenance so starting to look a bit tired.

Lovely well positioned cottage.

Well heated during a very cold spell of weather. Generally well stocked. Minor complaints: It was not possible to use the hose to clean our dog as the nozzle was missing and the hose had multiple leaks. The frying pan was in need of replacing. A few hooks on doors would have allowed us hang up coats and outdoor gear. The WiFi was not very secure. Despite the above we had a lovely stay and would recommend the cottage to others.

This property was perfect,clean well maintained and comfortable with a lovely short walk into town .

We are regular visitors to Whitby but this is the first time we have been able to book Estuary View.

It is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Very clean and comfortable, five minutes walk to the town centre with 2 parking spaces and a seating area around the back. Could not ask for more. Will definitely stay there again. Jen.

One of the cleanest homes we have stayed at (oven was the cleanest we have ever seen!),well equipped if you wish to cook for yourself. Enclosed rear ga4den which was ideal for our Cockapoo dog. Will be definitely booking again for 2025.

Clean and comfortable cottage that is a 10 minute stroll into Whitby.

We had a great Sunday lunch at the Bridge Inn at Ruswarp which is a 30min walk from the cottage. Simply cross the railway crossing some 50m from the cottage and follow the path alongside the railway line to Ruswarp Village. Falling Foss, Staithes (including the Cod and Lobster) and Runswick Bay are all well worth a visit. If we could add anything to property to improve it, then it would be a Parasol for the garden furniture to provide a bit of shade on the hotter days.

Had a lovely 2 week stay.

Idea for Whitby as it had parking and was only a 10 minute walk into town. Was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very comfy. Had to adjust shower over the bath as the water ran down behind the taps causing a puddle on floor of bathroom. Would be much better with a walk in shower and no bath. Would definitely return.

Location Location.

Have to say that if you are looking for a stay in Whitby, then you can't do much better than Estuary View, being within a 10 minute stroll to the town centre, is a bonus, along with the 2 parking spaces. A real home from home, with everything you need at hand. Very comfortable, and a must for us, is a secure garden/patio, for our dog, which it has. The owner provided lots of information on the area, and was very pleased to help, as this was our first visit to Whitby. Really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend Estuary View as a fantastic place to stay.

The cottage is perfect, spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you need. This was our third visit and will not be our last, we are already looking forward to our next stay. The owners have obviously gone to great lengths to make sure that the property is a wonderful home from home.

The cottage was perfect, close to the town, with parking.

It was very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday and the communication with the owners prior to our stay was very helpful. The welcome pack of milk and biscuits was very much appreciated. We slept like logs in the lovely comfy bed so much so that we even missed the northern lights display! We would have no hesitation in booking this dog friendly cottage again.

Great place to stay with your dog.

Ideally located for Whitby town centre, and links to other coastal towns.

We were booked in from Friday 19th to Monday 22nd April but left after one night.

The property wasn’t clean and the carpets were very dirty & full of dog hair. The leather sofas had ingrained dirt on them. I felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave and cut our losses. Can’t believe people rated this a 5. We paid a lot of money and are very disappointed. I could have took photos & complained but thought what’s the point but please be aware this cottage isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

Fantastic holiday home.

So clean and comfortable with everything you need. Lots of kitchen equipment, great tv and WiF and lovely bedding. Fab location, really close to the estuary where you see many beautiful vessels as you stroll into town which is only about 10 minutes walk away. The milk and biscuits provided for us were very welcome upon our arrival. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had everything we needed for our stay. The cottage was well equipped and very homely. The bed was just right. I'm a bit of a Goldilocks when it comes to beds so i was very pleased with how comfortable it was. The whole place stayed lovely and warm. A home from home. It's such a handy spot for the town, nearby walks and travelling to nearby places such as Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick Bay. Parking at the cottage was a bonus. Off road parking. The utility room was very handy for our dog in allowing us to insure she was cleaned down before entering the cottage. Thank you again to our hosts. We hope to be back again soon.

Absolute first class accommodation, spotless, comfortable furniture, perfectly dressed, even had Christmas Decorations, which was lovely, well stocked kitchen, it had everything you need and more, secure garden for the dog, the utility room at the back was perfect for taking off coats, boots and drying the dog.

The location was perfect for us, in a quiet Cul-de-sac, with 2 off road parking spaces and just a 5 min walk into town. Would highly recommend.

We found the cottage very clean and modern.

The location was ideal getting into the town and harbour. Idyllic views of both the harbour and abbey. Parking was great for 2 vehicles and it was very quiet. We all had a lovely stay including Eddie the Jack Russell who made himself at home. The milk and biscuits were very much appreciated. Thank you.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous stay at Estuary View.

The property was spotlessly clean a real home from home, it had everything we needed for a comfortable two week stay. The bed was so comfy we slept really well, with a secure garden for our dog and we really appreciated that we had a drive to park the car on as the roads can get busy. It’s in a great location with an easy stroll into Whitby centre, especially as our dog is older now. We will definitely return in the future.

We wanted for nothing, including amazing weather. The property is perfectly located with everything on the doorstep, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and quiet. Parking was a definite bonus.

Great location for Whitby harbour, large Co-op a few minutes walk from property, very clean and cosy.

Ample parking for two cars. Home from home experience, cottage well equipped and secure rear patio area for our dog as enclosed by fencing. However would have liked a bolt on the inside of the garden gate. Location not suitable for people with mobility issues as the property situated on a very steep slope, wouldn’t like to walk down on a icy winters day!

Beautiful property with excellent location.

We loved being next to the train track and short walk to harbour. The cottage has everything you could ever need and the small touches of milk and tea bags were very welcome on arrival. The beds were cosy and all bedding/towels were soft and of a high quality. The area is lovely and quiet and we felt safe at all times. I am sure we will be back!

Tastefully decorated, cosy, comfortable and clean. You deserve your 5 star reviews because it feels like a new listing. Everything you need is there. No nipping out once you arrive for washing up liquid, or milk etc which was really appreciated. Coffee pods and biscuits a lovely touch. Lovely linen on the beds, comfortable mattresses. Hot shower. Wish we'd booked the whole week!

The cottage was spotlessly clean with great facilities, in a good location on the outskirts of the town with the added bonus of car parking and enclosed outside space.

The Abbey and Museum were only 5 minutes away in the car. The town centre and harbour was in easy walking distance. The complimentary milk, teabags, coffee and biscuits were a lovely touch. The owners sent a welcome email just prior to our arrival which also was a nice personal touch. I would definitely recommend Estuary View and would happily stay again. A weekend was definitely not enough !!!

The cottage has everything you need all in excellent condition. The location is perfect with brilliant parking. The weather was great so we made full use of the outside area with the addition of the lovely decking and seating. Kirsty sent a very detailed email to ensure our stay went without any problems. Fantastic, comfortable.

I felt at home. The cleanliness and care were first class. The owners have done a superb job. My husband - well known for complaining did not complain about anything. The dog settled well and enjoyed his holiday as much as we did thanks to Kirstyn and Tony Ash who own the cottage. xx

The cottage was lovely, clean and has everything we needed.

It was a walking distance to the town centre and train station. The place was quiet, you could not hear the train passing by. The cottage provided also some leaflets of wonderful places to visit and lovely walks ranging from 30 min walk to 2 hrs and more hike. There are lots of restaurants and pubs nearby to have your meals and a big Co-op and Sainsburys to do your shopping. We have a wonderful stay at Whitby and we highly recommend people to stay at Estuary View as a good base for holiday as it is near to all amenities and lovely places to visit and explore.

Fantastic cottage.

Lovely decor and everything that you could hope for is there - It is a very well maintained cottage . Beds are comfy and nice bedding . Layout is great for dogs as the stairs to upstairs can be closed off and there is a great utility area at the back of the house which is handy for finishing off cleaning paws when returning to the cottage . Rear enclosed garden is lovely and we even managed a morning coffee there in December . Location is great and off road parking is a real asset . Would highly recommend this cottage and we would book again if returning to Whitby.

Good quality accommodation, a short walk to the marina, approximately 10 minutes walk from the railway station.

Easy parking for 2 cars. Spotlessly clean through out. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch. I look forward to staying here again.

Fabulous cottage.

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and the comfiest beds we have ever had on holiday. It's in a fantastic location and the parking spaces are an absolute godsend. We had a wonderful holiday.

The house was in a great location for accessing Whitby and the parking arrangements for two cars was a real bonus.

The property was good for four adults and catered for all we needed. We would recommend this and would return again in the future.

Leak under bath dripping onto dining table.

On arrival Friday downstairs toilet flush was found to be broken and was repaired on Monday.

Front door handle very stiff.

Water mark patch on the ceiling above the table. I don't think there is a leak, but might be worth checking out. Otherwise all ok.

..absolutely no issues. Easy booking process/deposit and automatic final payment taken on the date advised. The accommodation (Estuary View - Whitby) was also excellent, having all the amenities one could want and so comfortable - a home from home. Ideally located with off street parking and only minutes walk away from the centre of town, couldn't ask for more...the owners were also lovely.
