Great location on the quieter side from the harbour but only a ten minute walk to the other side.
We tried all 3 pubs on the same side as apartment and would recommend all 3 friendly locals good service and prices. The apartment was perfect for what we wanted to use as a base for exploring the surrounding area. The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed and although there is a great pub a few doors down you don't hear much from it at closing time other than people walking past. The heating is great warmed the place up within minutes when we needed it and the shower cubicle is a great size and worked perfectly. The parking in the adjoining garage was most welcome as you'd be very lucky to get a space on the road but garage easily fit our vehicle vovlo xc60 so anything smaller would have plenty of room, it can fit 2 cars with one behind the other. The owner was very quick to respond and helpful with any queries we had. A very enjoyable week and would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.
Very good location on the quieter side of Whitby harbour.
Brilliant for people with accessibility needs (we managed with a fold up wheelchair with ease), and the walk in shower is ideal. A few minor issues; the kitchen could do with some oven gloves, and maybe don't worry about the coffee etc storage jars as it is self catering and not expected.. We found coffee so old it had hardened into a ball with a teaspoon in it. We did wash the jars out for the next guests If at all possible maybe the highchair could only be put in on request. Otherwise a beautiful stay. Thank you.
Great property.
Great location.Comfortable and clean, everything we needed. Kids loved the electric reclining sofa. Parking in the garage wasn't listed on the Sykes page (unless I missed it), which was a relief to have because it would have been difficult otherwise. Notes for the owner: - Could do with some bigger pans, cooking for 4 and 2 boys with big appetites needs big pans. - Only 3 pasta bowls, would be good to have 4. - 2 tiny loo rolls for 4 people over 4 days is not enough :-) - The kitchen tap is dripping so you might want to ge that checked. - Some clothes hook in the bathroom door would be useful.
