  • "Beautiful accommodation, immaculate, and very luxurious - everything you could possibly need is provided, added with the quirkyness of the trains going by."

    Ideal location for shops and restaurants. Perfect for us as we needed one level for my husbands mobility requirements. Only one very small issue is that parking in the garage can be a tad challenging if your reversing abilities are not the best !! Loved our holiday there.

    It's in a very central location within walking distance of everything Whitby has to offer. There are also sights close by which are only a short drive away. We would definitely consider returning and have already recommended to friends & family.

  • "We had a fantastic stay at this 2-bedroom apartment in Whitby."

    It was perfect for our group of five adults, offering plenty of space and comfort. One of the standout features was the view overlooking the steam trains—which added a point of interest! The location was ideal with just a short walk into the heart of Whitby and all it has to offer. There is secure on-site parking, which made everything easy and stress-free. The apartment was especially well-suited for a member of our party with mobility issues, as it’s all on one level and very accessible. Jo, was attentive, friendly, and very helpful before and throughout our stay. We couldn’t fault anything and would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Whitby. We’d definitely stay here again.

  • "We had another fabulous stay at the Flying Scotsman."

    We have stayed there for the last few years and have nothing but praise for the apartment and the organisation of the stay. Although I have spoken with Jo, the housekeeper, on several occasions it was lovely to speak to her in person. She is very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We will return next year.

  • "Accommodation was very nice, and location was very good."

    Beds and sofas very comfy. Some feedback - towel rail in the bathroom gets blisteringly hot and is right next to the toilet, and you cannot help but catch your leg on it and burn yourself. Shower screen in bathroom not sliding right and at an angle. The washing machine shook itself out of the cupboard, dislodging the kickboard and required pushing back in. Hallway carpet a bit grubby - a mat in the entrance would help. Can’t be helped but first impression is strong smell of oil.

  • "This was our 5th stay at the Engine shed and our 4th stay in the Flying Scotsman."

    We love how close to the town it is, and having secure parking on site is a huge bonus. The flat is clean, comfortable and very well appointed. Wonderful views from the windows and large rooms plenty of space for our party of 4 adults. Having 2 shower rooms helps too. We very much appreciated the new table and chairs this time. Looking forward to our next trip very soon. Thank you.

  • "What fabulous luxurious apartment."

    The views are fabulous. I have my favourite place on the couch. The beds are extremely comfortable with good pillows and bedding. The bathrooms are great with showers that have plenty of hot water and towels are thick and fluffy. There are dressing tables with mirror a stool that is the perfect height to put your makeup on. Full-length mirrors to check yourself out before a very short stroll into Whitby with all it has to offer. If you want to cook your own meals there's everything in the kitchen you require. Including a very large fridge freezer to store your ingredients. The seating in the lounge area is very comfortable. With plenty of low table space for drinks and nibbles. I nearly forgot the safe garage parking is such a bonus. If you do want to visit further afield there's no worry about trying to find a parking space when return. Would I go back again? Yes! Yes! Yes!
