  • "We could not fault this property at all."

It was the best accommodation that we have ever stayed in. The property was immaculate and so well equipped with everything, it even had a washing machine and dishwasher. We will certainly book this property again and would recommend it to all. It was located centrally with the added bonus of off street parking, which saved a fortune in parking fees. We will be back. Thank you.

Went for pet friendly on advert surprised when we arrived note left as you walked in no pets allowed on furniture or bed not total et friendly apart from that very pleased with property and location

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately guests in the past have allowed wet and dirty dogs on the beds and sofa. We want to keep standards of the cottage very high so we just ask guests to be considerate. Most holiday rentals ask for pets to be kept off the soft furnishings. Property Owner

Very nicely laid out and with comfortable furnishings. Great views of the harbour and Whitby town and Abbey. Only a short walk to town and bus and train stations, so we had no need to use the car. The added bonus of a free parking space was a big help. We would definitely return to Harbour Walk. Good central location and allocated parking is a bonus. Facilities provided were excellent, beds lovely and comfy. Only vert minor issue Netflix account locked so unable to use Netflix (couldn’t log off to log in on my account either) and TV in bedroom wasn’t receiving any signal. This didn’t detract from a lovely property at all.

Glad you had a lovely stay. Sorry you had issues with Netflix it needs a password which is in the welcome book. The downstairs TV is back up a running a cable had been removed from the back of the TV. Property Owner

Also had parking which is very rare in whitby. Steam trains running directly behind the garden which was amazing, we weren't bothered at all by the other trains they don't run that often and not at all through the night. The garden is accessed through the main bedroom which may be an issue if 2 couples were staying, the garden area is a really sunny sheltered area. Lovely welcome pack and beautifully set out. Will definitely return, thank you for a lovely stay

It’s very well equipped and spotlessly clean, has a well planned interior - we particularly enjoyed the living, dining, kitchen room on the upper floor from where there are good views over the river and the distant abbey. ruins and the steam locos puffing by the end of the garden. The cottage is conveniently located near the harbour and the off road parking is invaluable.

  • "Harbour Walk is ideal for a holiday in the area, plenty to see and do."

We stayed in January as a couple, with two dogs. Few minutes walk to the town centre and everything on offer in the way of food and drink and some retail therapy! Everything is provided you could need plus welcome pack, spotlessly clean and comfy bed(s). Being next to the railway line is not really an issue, as the line isn't exactly the busiest, though may be more so in the summer months, unfortunately, no steam trains whilst we were there. Having stayed in Whitby a few times, you realise the importance of the parking space and the garden, though small, great great for the dogs. Would definitely use again!

Really well thought out and beautifully equipped. Everything you could need for a holiday. Very comfy beds and fabulous access to the steam trains, our Grandson loved the trains and waved everyday. Whitby is thriving with lots of new businesses popping up so a great holiday was had by all. Parking is a godsend in Whitby so we were able to just leave the car and walk everywhere. There is a lip where the access to the car space is, (the pavement has sunk) so a fully loaded saloon car may well scrape this. Not the cottage owners fault but will need attention from the council. Loved Harbour Walk and of course we will be back.

Also the parking bay is very steep and and there is a ledge at the top of the bay with a grid and if your car is a bit low you could damage the underside, when possible we we were parking across the road. But it is within walking distance to town and was very clean and modern.

Thank you for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed your stay. New beds are on order and will be delivered in December. Property Owner

You get a really good view of the vintage railway, which is exciting when 'steam engines' are being used. The garden is quiet and a good place to rest after a busy day. There was a very welcome and unexpected greetings pack of tea, coffee and milk plus chocolate, biscuits and crisps and a bottle of wine. I would thoroughly recommend this for a comfortable holiday.
