“It is clear in the description of the property there will be a lot of steps to climb (this is true both for access to the property and over the 4 floors within the property) so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues (e.”

    G. very young or elderly). For those who have no such issues though property is excellent. Ideal location right in the heart of Whitby with views over the harbour to the front and less than 10 minutes walk to both the centre of town or the Abbey. Parking in Whitby can be a challenge but car use is only required if you want to visit other places (you can park in Abbey car park 24 hours a day £9 if you want the easiest option and it is only 10 minutes walk from there to the property) Excellent walks on Cleveland way - We did Sandsend and back (coastal footpath going and beach on return) and on another day in the opposite direction to Robin Hoods Bay (6.5M) and then took bus back to Whitby Scarborough 30 minutes drive or take bus (well worth a days visit) and Steam train and boat trips available in Whitby also recommended. Family also enjoyed Dr Cranks Ghost tour (walk and stories around Whitby)
