  • "Laridae is a lovely house."

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival, the house is very spacious, well maintained and comfortable. Plenty of crockery and cutlery available and very pleased to see proper mugs, not cups and saucers. We were 2 couples sharing so 2 cars but no real problems finding on street spaces not too far away for both cars even on such a busy weekend. The steep hill back up from town is a bit of a struggle if you have mobility issues or shopping to carry but at only £5 for a taxi, we saved our energy. Our only complaint was the heating which was set at a maximum 18 degrees and couldn't be increased, even though it felt much cooler. Late afternoon it got quite chilly and as we wanted showers before heading out for the evening, it would have been nice to just have a short burst of heat whilst we got ready. We had a lovely long weekend and would definitely book Laridae again, thank you.

  • "We had a fantastic stay in this lovely house."

It had everything we needed for our short break, it was spotlessly clean, the beds were really comfy and there were little simple touches that make a difference (such as a mirror next to a socket in the bedroom). We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

  • "Beautiful cottage."

Clean, tidy and very well presented. Facilities were great. Only very small points were the bed frame squeaked on one of the. Twin beds. Also was unable to put heating on when needed seemed as only set to certain times. Unable to put on when needed in evening. Would definitely stay again.

It was so comfortable, clean & cosy. Everything had been thought of to make our stay a real pleasure. If we go back to Whitby we would definitely book this cottage again and will certainly recommend it to family & friends.

  • "We thought it was a nice house."

Enough room for us all. We found the stairs to the top room very steep but the info did warn about this. The outside space was very welcome. The lack of a washing machine was an issue. Admittedly one was not listed in the inventory but I hadn't thought to check until just before we came. The amount of money you pay for accommodation now, to me, should imply a facility of that kind. But all in all we enjoyed our stay. The proximity to the town, although steep, is good. And the house itself was well maintained and comfortable.

  • "Lovely little house just a ten minute walk from town for fully mobile people."

The walk up the hill home might be more difficult for those less mobile. This was our second time staying at Laridae and we plan to come back again.

Thank you so much for staying with us again and giving us lovely feedback from your stay. It is really appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes & thank you Property Owner

Everything you needed was provided! The beds were really comfortable and rooms were spacious. My only tiny issue was the towels are quite small. If you like a big bath sheet then take your own!

Location good, 10 minute walk down hill to the centre of Whitby. Cottage was spotless and very welcome touches like coat hooks on the back of doors and a mirror in all bedrooms. Standard things you may think but not all places have them. 2 three seater settees bit cramped for 6 adults in the lounge but overall superb.

  • "Parking in the street is very limited."

It’s a steep hill to house so if park at bottom car park older people may struggle. The house is brilliant, spotless, spacious and has everything you need with lovely decoration. The owners left information and a bottle of bubbly which was very generous of them thanks. We would definitely go back x
