Fabulous location with great views and a short walk into Whitby.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Looks even better than is shown in the photographs. Easy check in and your own parking space. Not really sure there is anything else you could ask for! Highest recommendation!

Third time I’ve stayed at Majestic, always beautifully clean, well equipped, great views of the abbey and river.

Hope to stay again, but have seen that this property is for sale.

Beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard with good quality equipment.

Had everything you need and more to give a cosy & comfortable base for a holiday. Nice views over the river and to the abbey. Having an allocated parking space is such a bonus in Whitby, where on street parking can be difficult. Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to book again in the future.

I have given the property full marks but I was discussed because although the checking out time is 10.

00 am and we were ready to go at that time. my 87 years old sister's grandson said he would not be able to pick them up until 10.30 due to the fact he was coming from South Shields to Whitby and had to take his children to school. I asked if they could stay in the property until 10..30 they could have waited in the lounge while the cleaner started in the bedroom. But was told no, so my 87 and 90 year sisters had to wait outside in the sun on the pavement until he arrived at exactly 10.30. During that time the cleaner drove off and returned 15 minutes later. So what was the harm in them remaining in the property for an extra half an hour. My lift arrived at 10.00 but I was traveling to Wakefield. However I remained with them until they safely left.

Lovely spacious and modern apartment.

Gorgeous view, watched a Heron fishing one night. Good location. All in all we had a fantastic little break there. Would definitely book again.

Excellent place to stay.

Fantastic views across the river and into Whitby. Majestic is very well presented, and was more than comfortable with 5 of us staying.

Fantastic location, for the town centre the apartment is located allowing easy access mainly on a level which for Whitby is unusual.

We really enjoyed our stay in Majestic a very well appointed apartment with quality fixtures and fitting.

On arrival it was spotlessly clean, the biscuits, tea and coffee were a nice touch. Superb location to see virtually all of Whitby and activity on the river. Just a few things we noticed, none of which impacted on our enjoyment of the property. 1. The key box instructions state second from bottom, a key box has been added now making it third from bottom, the pink paint mark remains intact. 2. The door on the super-king-size bedroom doesn’t latch it seems to be stuck in. Secondly the wall heater mounting bracket is not very secure and may need attention or replacing 3. We could not get the wine cooler to operate, the fridge was a more than adequate substitute 4. In the main bathroom a seal on the shower screen has separated from the frame, not causing any leaks but may need attention. Thanks and regards. Richard.

Clean, comfortable apartment.

Great views of the harbour towards the Abbey. Perfect location to explore whitby and surrounding areas. A bonus having an allocated parking bay.

This was our second time staying at the Majestic.

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Location is great with a short walk to the town centre and lovely views over the river Esk. It’s quiet and you have a dedicated parking space. The apartment is well equipped and immaculately. We’ll definitely be staying again.

It was very well set-up for our arrival and exceeded our expectations in every way. Great to come in after a day out and be able to relax watching the trains and the wildlife from the window. Location was excellent for exploring Whitby or further afield. We appreciated the generous welcome pack- many thanks. Will certainly recommend the apartment to friends and would hope to return sometime ourselves.

Good location, good parking, good view, spacious and clean.

Beds very comfortable. Would have been nice to have a TV in both big bedrooms. Breakfast stools in kitchen squeak very badly, a little WD40 required.

Whitby was a new experience for us, but will definitely be repeated.

The Majestic was a beautiful apartment, situated in a lovely setting and just a short walk from the centre of Whitby. Everything in the apartment was perfect, lots of thought and care been given to make the stay a memorable one. Fitted out to a very high standard, with the lovely touch of a welcome bag of “Yorkshire “ treats. Much appreciated. I myself have some mobility issues but found this apartment very suitable for me, we found some lovely pubs and interesting places. Loved Cosa Nostra Italian Restaurant and Middle Earth Tavern Pub which is on the road as you walk into the town . Also The Quirky Den was a nice little place to “wet your whistle”. Whitby Abbey was a must to visit, also has a little Brewery up there too. Overall we had a super break, and will definitely be back again to Whitby, and 100% Majestic Apartment. Definitely recommended.

Majestic is a luxurious home from home fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings.

The beds were very comfortable, the linens and towels were good quality. The apartment is spacious and cosy, we were most impressed with the efficiency of the panel heaters. The location is excellent and peaceful, a level walk of 10 minutes got us to Church Street on the old side of Whitby. The allotted parking space is a bonus in Whitby. My party ranged from my 91 year Mam to my 7 year old Grandson, 4 generations in total, Majestic accommodated us all beautifully. We'd happily stay here again.

A very clean and comfortable apartment.

The views are lovely of the harbour and a great location for a flat walk in to the town. It was very easy to warm the apartment too although the ticking of the electric heaters especially during the night in the bedrooms did disturb sleep. The cream carpet in the living room is unfortunately stained in places and that room didn’t feel luxurious for a 5 star apartment.I know it will be very difficult to keep this clean, as we used to have one, not very practical for a holiday let unfortunately. Thank you for the welcome pack, we enjoyed our stay and loved the Christmas tree and window lights.

Had a weekend in Whitby and was very pleased with the accommodation.

Fixtures and fittings all done to a high standard. Views over the harbour and towards the Abbey were lovely. Just a short walk from the centre of Whitby. A welcome bag was left with Yorkshire goodies which was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Mirror in small single bedroom would be helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning soon.

We had a couple of small issues which was not the owners fault. The first being construction work was being carried out in the building and could hear banging & drilling regular. The second was when we arrived we was expecting a welcome pack after reading reviews so didn’t take essentials as came straight from work. The owner did call to see us and asked if we got one as he pays for it. He said to leave it with him and he will sort it but nothing came of it. We visit Whitby frequently in winter months and wouldn’t hesitate in rebooking the majestic. Chris & janice

Really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location and very quiet compared to where we have stayed previously. Apartment was immaculate and it was great having the car parking space outside the block. The welcome package was a lovely gesture.

We have nothing to complain about apartment was very clean and modern.

It was in an ideal position for walking into Whitby. Would stay there again.

Due to illness of one of our party we had to leave the property 1day early , an offer of discount was declined.

We had a wonderful stay at Majestic.

There is a magnificent view from the living room. The apartment is clean and very well appointed. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Whitby. It's own private, level, parking space, the views and just far enough away from the hubbub without feeling distant. A short stroll has you in the centre of everything. Part way through our visit we had a slight mishap of our own making which that the Yorkshire Coastal Cottages team resolved it immediately. We are very thankful indeed! No hesitation in recommending.

Great apartment at Whitehall Landing complex.

I have stayed in several apartments here and this has been one of the nicest ones. Good facilities and a great speck of furnishings and appliances. Cleanliness was also really good for a holiday let. I would definitely recommend and return for future holidays in Whitby. I did however have a few issues as per below during our 2 week stay. • Vacuum Cleaner didn’t work. Whilst a temporary fix was made in the first few days by the owner it lasted all of 10 mins and keeping the apartment clean became the nemesis of my holiday as I had to replace the drive belt on the machine daily as it was not satisfactory replaced or repaired by the owner. • We were asked on 3 occasions if we wanted the bedding changing after week 1. We said that would be great on all 3 occasions but this did not happen ? • Cafeteria exploded on 2nd day after pouring boiling water in to make coffee. This was reported and promptly replaced by the owner to which we was grateful

We stay in Whitby twice a year and this is definitely one of the nicest holiday lets we have stayed in.

Everything is really well presented and the view from the living room window is amazing. We would definitely stay here again. Can’t find any negatives at all for this property.

It’s in an excellent location with easy access to the harbour and you have the benefit of your own parking space which is a premium in Whitby. The apartment itself was clean and well maintained and the welcome pack left by the owners was magnificent. You have views over the river and harbour, and can enjoy watching the steam train arrive and depart. Thanks for a fantastic stay we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient apartment with allocated off road parking.

Handy for flattish walk to town centre. Amazing location for watching wildlife on the river Esk and the passing steam trains. As allergic to dogs, the fact property is pet-free was welcomed. We came home relaxed despite walking over 60 miles along the cleveland and esk valley ways.

We so enjoyed our week in this place with its lovely view over the river Esk.

Watching the bird waders at low tide was so interesting, with many other birds, to see. Loved the binoculars provided. My husband enjoyed watching the steam trains from the flat. We so enjoyed walking into Whitby without having to worry about taking the car. This was our best holiday for a long time, in a beautifully appointed flat. We had problems trying to find No 5 on the key holders - suggest you label out a plan on the joining instructions making it clear which one is for No 5. Other couples had similar problems with finding keys for other flats. One of the double beds was very low, being a tall person I found it difficult to get down so low.

We stayed at the Majestic for my 50th birthday.

We had such a lovely time. The apartment is beautiful and in a great location. We have been to Whitby many times but this has got to be the nicest place we have stayed. We will definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Majestic is a gem of an apartment.

It was superbly clean, very well equipped and its location is second to none. If you are looking for peaceful within walking distance of Whitby, this apartment is perfect. Watching the tide flow in and out through the large, picture windows is so relaxing. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Lovely comfortable apartment with a parking space just outside and a lift to the first floor for when we were tired!

It had stunning views over the river, to the abbey on the hill and to the town. We could watch the morning or afternoon steam train across the river on it's way into the station, see many different birds on the pontoons or on the mudflats when the tide went out. It was a short walk to the old town. We will certainly be back. We met the charming owners when we were leaving who were awaiting a delivery of new mattresses to replace the two less comfortable mattresses.

Very nice apartment.

Lovely and clean with everything you could need. Great location with fantastic views. Good to have parking space nearby. Pub and chip shop about 5 minutes walk and centre of whitby around 15 minutes with a gentle stroll on mostly flat ground. Only negative for us were the beds which we found a bit uncomfortable. Would definately stay again and recommend.

The owner Pam went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The previous occupants had had a spillage in the lounge and the owner had put an industrial fan in to dry the carpet which she told us to keep as the weather was going to be hot!! On the 5th day the kettle broke and Pam delivered a new one herself. The apartment was exceptionally clean and inviting on arrival with a lovely welcome basket of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. All instruction booklets for every item in the apartment were in a drawer and every item of equipment you needed down to washer tablets and washing up liquid were provided, it was just like a home from home. I would definitely recommend this apartment it was fantastic and we had an enjoyable week under very sad circumstances made easier by the accommodation, thank you x

Beautiful decor, had everything we needed

A lovely apartment in an excellent location.

The decor is lovely and it was clean and smelt gorgeous on arrival. We enjoyed trips out to Robin Hood's Bay, Goathland, and a day out on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We can highly recommend the Riverside chippy 2 mins walk away and the Thai restaurant based in Whitby train station ... and every tea room we vistied.

A beautifully furnished accommodation, great location, clean, warm, and cosy-just what you need after some of the lung coastal walks!

Can recommend Dotty's vintage tea room in Staithes, The fish Box in Robin Hood's Bay and the National Trust Tea rooms- it sounds as if we have just visited Tea rooms but we did just walk over 60 miles! Thank you

What a lovely place.

We were able to walk into Whitby every day. The view is stunning. Feel so relaxed.

We have had a fantastic week staying in this clean, comfortable and convenient apartment with close off road parking.

Especially important as we haven’t moved our car between arrival and departure! Inside we used the local buses to Staithes and Scarborough, stream train to Goathland, local train to Grosmont and walked miles along the coastal path and Esk Valley.
