Whitby Railway Cottages

Four identical terraced cottages backing onto the North Yorkshire Steam Railway, right in the heart of the wonderful seaside town of Whitby. With this wonderful fishing port at your fingertips, these four well-presented getaways make for the perfect place to bring your families together for a holiday of adventure and excitement. All of the Railway Cottages benefit from reverse-level accommodation; enter onto the ground floor, which tastefully hosts a cloakroom and a welcoming open-plan living room. This space is smartly finished with snug seating for three in front of the Smart TV, as well as a stylish kitchen backed with attractive metro tiles. Head down to the lower ground floor to discover the delightful bedrooms; all properties offer a variety of flexible sleeping arrangements, dressed with thoughtful touches to make you feel at home and offering a snug sleeping spot for each member of the group. As each fun-packed day goes by, recharge your batteries by soaking in a tranquil bubble bath. From the master bedrooms you can access a lovely little back garden; a patio and a lawn area allow you to watch the North Yorkshire Steam Railway, with views of the town's dramatic abbey in the distance. A short walk brings you into this ever-popular coastal resort, providing a wealth of superb amenities as well as much to keep you busy, including the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and its idyllic clifftop abbey. Countryside lovers will not have to travel far to enjoy picturesque rural landscapes, as the North York Moors border Whitby, and is a superb spot for walking and cycling. The property

Nestled just ahead of the banks of the River Esk, overlooking the Whitby to Middlesbrough railway, is Rails End.

Entry to this reverse-level accommodation is gained at street level, where you can park your car securely before heading inside to uncover the wonder of your accommodation.

The inviting hallway boasts a cloakroom and an open-plan living room enjoying the views of the harbour, abbey and steam trains passing by.

The sitting area offers a cosy feel, with a fabulous woodburning stove warming the entire room on a cold wintry evening, where you can gather with your loved ones to make a plan of action for your fun-filled days ahead.

There is also a lovely dining area in this room, at which you can eat your meals prepared in the immaculate kitchen, or choose to bring along a board game for an evening of family-friendly competition.

The bathroom rests on the lower ground level, following two double bedrooms, providing a marvellous layout for a variety of group needs.

Step out onto the patio from the first double bedroom, where the sun can be enjoyed at the seating area and on the modest lawn, perfect for the summer months.

The immediate area of the dwelling boasts a wide range of attractions; enjoy traditional Yorkshire delicacies at one of the towns many delicious eateries before taking a stroll up the 199 steps to the famous Whitby Abbey, or choose to immerse yourself in even more history in one of the areas museums.

Spend an afternoon on the beach or partake in some whale watching for an unforgettable experience like no other.
