  • "Couldn’t fault this cottage!"

    Absolutely spotless, which we really appreciated after a couple of our recent trips elsewhere! Everything is beautifully maintained. Cottage has everything we needed for a great stay, and we appreciated the welcome goodies! Even better than pictures, due to the addition of some cosy rugs and extra seating. Cottage is on a very busy road, so we did find it noisy when we had the windows open, but it was no problem at night due to the excellent triple glazing.

  • "Couldn't fault the property itself."

    Plenty of parking, enclosed patio area so dog can run free. Downstairs toilet which was a bonus. Nicely decorated throughout. Great shower and well equipped kitchen. Best welcome pack we've seen with bread, milk, butter, eggs and even red and white wine. Lovely and friendly local pub with cask and keg a couple of doors down. Handy enough that we nipped down for a couple of pints and sat in our patio area. Only drawback, the road was really busy and seems like a through route for HGVs. We got used to it pretty quickly however and it wouldn't stop us booking again. All in all, great value.

  • "The property was excellent for us as an extended family."

    Very clean and the fixtures and decoration of each room was tastefully thought out and to a high standard. The downstairs area was large and gave us plenty of room to move around comfortably. The kitchen/diner area was very modern and the units and tops were very easy to keep clean. The owner had gone to the trouble of providing a thoughtful starter breakfast pack along with coffee pods for the coffee machine and pods for the dishwasher and washing machine too. Each guest was provided with a plush bath towel and hand towel and the beds were very comfortable. There is a dedicated parking space at the rear, but also plenty of additional space behind the pub which is next door to the property. I would highly recommend this as a holiday break with plenty of local sites to visit, including Bridlington which has a lovely extended beach.

  • "Very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the property."

    No idea why it isn't booked solid all summer as the location is perfect for visiting the East coast, York and the moors. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment to make cooking easy. Real home from home with good quality appliances and furnishings. No problem with noise from the pub next door and parking is easy.

  • "This is a lovely, comfortable, clean and high spec holiday home."

    We were a party of 2 adults and 2 teens and there's plenty of space. The outdoor space was perfect for a coffee in the autumn sunshine and will be a fab spot for a summer BBQ. We enjoyed doing some stargazing in the evening, both indoor, through the amazing lantern roof and outdoor on the patio. We arrived to find a generous welcome pack with breakfast provisions and the kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed pizzas from the pub next door which were great value and very tasty. It's a great base for exploring the East Coast and there are some interesting historical villages to visit nearby too, as well as the Rudston monolith. My only suggestions would be to review the seating layout to make it easier for 4/5 people to sit comfortably together on sofas to chat, watch TV, play a board game etc. and to provide a general cleaning spray and cloth to enable guests to wipe down the kitchen surfaces and dining table. A great stay and the owner is helpful and friendly.

  • "The property is superb."

    I can not find a negative word to say. Everything has been well thought out, both inside and out, allowing for an opportunity for a lovely barbecue should you wish, weather permitting, on the good sized private patio. It is ideally located for visiting areas of interest including local beaches. The owner is lovely, very friendly and also very knowledgeable. He offered us points of interest (new to visiting this area) and went out of his way to make our stay extra special. A lovely welcome pack awaited us, he's even thinking of our four legged friends. We found a surprise gift next to the bowl and mat he provides (should you need to use them)

  • "Wow! What a find!"

    Perfect for a 3 generation group plus dog. The cottage has been cleverly renovated, so that it's light, spacious and practical. Plenty of living space with two areas of seating. A sociable, well-equipped kitchen. Three decent bedrooms. Ample hot water and a good shower. Two door keys. In a great area for walking and touring. And a helpful, friendly local owner - what more could you want?

  • "Went here with my mum, sister and her 2 children."

    This cottage is absolutely beautiful, great location. It had everything we needed so comfortable like home from home. Ideal for a central point to Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington and 1hour 20 mins from York. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Will be returning.
