Description

Cheyne Cottage is a charming detached retreat nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Raw, just moments from Fylingthorpe and the historic fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay on the stunning North Yorkshire coast.

Blending traditional character with homely touches, this two-bedroom cottage enjoys far-reaching views across rolling countryside and out to the shimmering North Sea, making it an inviting base for couples or small families eager to explore both the dramatic coastline and the beauty of the nearby North York Moors National Park.

Step inside to discover a warm and welcoming sitting room, where exposed beams, country décor, and a log burner create the perfect setting for quiet evenings after days spent walking the coastal trails.

A convenient storage cupboard houses the boiler and washing machine, while the kitchen/diner is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring a dishwasher, electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and a breakfast seating area ideal for morning coffee or leisurely chats.

Upstairs, the double bedroom offers breathtaking views towards the sea, while the twin room enjoys a similar outlook across the picturesque landscape.

The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, a shower over, a basin, and a WC, completing this charming home.

Outside, several enclosed garden areas provide peaceful spots to dine alfresco, read a book in the sunshine, or simply watch the changing skies over the fields.

A terrace with seating makes an ideal place for evening drinks, and off-road parking for two cars ensures easy arrivals and departures.

From Cheyne Cottage, guests can explore the cobbled streets of Robin Hood’s Bay, rich with maritime history, independent shops, and coastal cafés, or follow the Cleveland Way and Cinder Track for unforgettable walking and cycling routes along the cliffs.

Venture north to Whitby to climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, stroll the working harbour, and sample the famous fish and chips.

Inland, the North York Moors National Park offers a vast expanse of heather-clad hills, ancient woodlands, and attractions such as Goathland, which is the filming location for Heartbeat and Harry Potter, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and Falling Foss Waterfall with its woodland tea garden.

With its sea views, timeless charm, and unbeatable location, Cheyne Cottage offers a memorable escape where coast, countryside, and character come together beautifully

Ruhige Wohnlage. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Dankeschön!
