Description

Tucked away in the peaceful coastal hamlet of Port Mulgrave, just a mile and a half from the picturesque fishing village of Staithes, Cozy Cottage offers the perfect escape for families, friends and four-legged companions looking to discover one of Yorkshire's most beautiful stretches of coastline.

Set across three floors, this welcoming cottage combines traditional character with comfortable modern living. At the heart of the home, the inviting living and dining area centres around a cosy woodburning stove, creating the ideal spot to unwind after a day exploring rugged clifftop paths and seaside villages. Curl up in front of the Smart TV, gather around the dining table for a leisurely supper, or simply enjoy the warm and relaxing atmosphere.

The bright conservatory provides an additional space to sit back and relax, whether you're enjoying a morning coffee, getting lost in a good book, or watching the changing coastal skies. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed for preparing family meals, while the ground-floor wet room is perfect for washing away sandy toes and muddy paws after adventurous days outdoors.

Sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully designed for families and groups, with a comfortable double bedroom and a spacious family room featuring four single beds, offering flexibility for both adults and children. A family bathroom with bath and overhead shower completes the accommodation.

Outside, a private patio offers a pleasant spot for al fresco drinks and relaxed evenings as the sun begins to set. With off-road parking and a pet-friendly welcome, everything is in place for a carefree coastal holiday.

From the doorstep, discover breathtaking sections of the Cleveland Way, where dramatic cliff-top walks reveal panoramic sea views and fascinating glimpses into the area's industrial heritage. Wander down to the shoreline, explore hidden coves, or enjoy a leisurely stroll to the local pub, shop and beach.

Nearby Staithes enchants visitors with its narrow winding streets, colourful cottages, independent galleries and rich maritime history. Further along the coast, the iconic seaside town of Whitby offers its famous abbey, bustling harbour, sandy beach and connections to Captain Cook, while Saltburn-by-the-Sea boasts a Victorian pier, historic cliff lift and a beautiful stretch of golden sand.

Whether you're seeking scenic walks, traditional seaside charm, family adventures or simply a peaceful place to recharge by the sea, Cozy Cottage provides a wonderfully located base for making lasting memories on the North Yorkshire coast.

Nice cottage, great location for walking the Cleveland Way and exploring the coast and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Parking is not clear when you arrive at the property, as it is not near the cottage. Luckily, a neighbour told us where we needed to park. Details of the parking arrangements should be provided with the property information when booking. The cottage was nice; unfortunately, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. It was like trying to sleep on a concrete floor. Not one of us got a good night's sleep. Besides the parking issue and lack of sleep, the cottage is in a peaceful location and is great for exploring the surrounding area.

The accommodation was great, clean and comfortable, with plenty of facilities in the cottage.

It is in an excellent location for walks on the cliff tops (Cleveland Way) between Staithes and Runswick Bay, and is very peaceful with a lovely sea view from the upper floors. What I would say is that the parking is confusing, as it says "parking for 2 cars", but there was no indication of where this was. Although this did not cause any problems, it was a little unclear. Overall, a super place to explore the East Coast.
