  • "From the immaculate gardens to the bungalow itself everything has been thoughtfully created and executed to a very high standard."

    The living/kitchen/dining room is extremely spacious with everything you could possibly need and although the second en-suite bedroom was a little tight to get around the other two were perfect. A real gem and the jacuzzi was a absolute treat. Perfect location for getting all over North Yorkshire and even visiting the Lake District if you fancy it.

  • "The property is magnificent, very clean, bright and extremely well equipped."

    All the rooms are on one floor and the bedrooms are of a good size. The main living/dining/kitchen area is very spacious and has splendid views into the large rear garden with farmland beyond the boundary. The large games room in the garden is excellent with a quality pool table. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bed linen of a very high quality. The location of the property in the beautiful village of Clapham is stunning. Love the New Inn Hotel/pub at the top of the Green, which serves four cask real ales. We also visited the local village General Store a couple of times, which is very well stocked. The location is a must for hiking and we did the Three Peaks (Ingleborough peak directly from the property) and walked to Settle. It was a fabulous week at Cross Winds, we really enjoyed it.

  • "High standard property, Susan and Mike were great hosts, making us feel very welcome."

    We had everything we needed for a family with teenagers. The property was spacious and the garden room with pool table and a hot tub gave us plenty to do when the rain came. Nearby to the Yorkshire Three Peaks and plenty of other stunning walks, with Ingleborough Cave on the doorstep. We highly recommend Crosswinds.

Ingleton 4 miles; Settle 6 miles.

The picturesque Dales village of Clapham is situated in the heart of the famous "Three Peaks" country. Surrounded by spectacular limestone, the Nature Trail at Clapham passes by a lake and mature woodland before reaching Ingleborough Show Cave - spectacular whatever the weather! Follow the footpath further and wonder at the magnificent Trow Gill, before continuing past Gaping Gill (Britain’s largest discovered pothole) on the way to the summit of Ingleborough. The nearby White Scar Caves are also well worth a visit and there is a superb four-mile waterfall walk in the village of Ingleton. Clapham offers a village shop, a vintage gift shop and a bespoke wool and handicraft shop, as well as a pub, a bar and cafes. The village is an ideal base for walking, climbing or potholing and horse/pony trekking, as there are numerous bridle paths in the area. An excellent centre for touring the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, with easy access to both the Lake District and the west coast.
