The Summerhouse

The Summerhouse was stunning, relaxing, with the bi-fold doors opening up on to the decking area, gives you all the space, you need.

Inside it was spotless, comfortable and well organised. It was well equipped and thoughtfully designed. A great location for Skipton and the dales, with excellent canal and country walks. If you want somewhere to decompress and truly relax, this is the place. Lindsey the host was lovely, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.

Situated in a location ideal for visits to surrounding attractions and places of interest.

Lindsey was in contact with us from our booking until the day we left, she was there if we needed anything but gave us our privacy & her welcome gifts were a lovely thoughtful touch.

The accommodation is beautiful, comfortable & spotlessly clean, ideally situated for lots of local attractions. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

We were given a very warm welcome and enjoyed staying at the Summerhouse.

The outdoor facilities are really good, on the inside it has very comfortable seating and bedding. The Welcome pack contained some tasty treats. Thank you and well done Lindsey for putting a really nice holiday home together with lots and lots of added extras.

Not long returned from a 7 night stay at the Summerhouse in Kildwick.

Having stayed in various cottages throughout Britain we put the Summerhouse in our Top 2. Accommodation was first class. Lindsey as a host has thought of everything. The village of Kildwick is a perfect base to discover the surrounding area. Lindsey as a host is lovely - her knowledge and advice of the area made our visit even better. We have already recommended to Family and Friends and are looking forward to our next visit - hopefully not too long away. Michele and Jim July 2026

A beautiful place.

...well equipped.... The welcome basket was a lovely treat...a really comfy bed and the sheets were so soft....loved the cushions ....and great to see there was a slip proof mat in shower...lots of little touches.....great outdoor space, plenty of seating....loved the wind chimes. Lindsey was so lovely, made sure we had all we needed. would so recommend the summer house.

Perfect place to stay.

Although Lindsey wasn't around she kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in the countryside. Would definitely stay there again.

We have just spent four days at the summerhouse.

What a gorgeous little retreat this is, everything was so immaculate. Spotlessly clean and so comfortable with everything you could need and some treats. Lindsey is a fantastic host so welcoming on your arrival. Kildwick itself is a lovely village and is a great base for visiting nearby towns and national trust properties, with some lovely walks nearby. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t want to leave and will definitely return.

It is obvious that Lindsey has put a lot of thought and effort into planning The Summerhouse and the fixtures and fittings are top draw making it a very comfortable and well appointed property.

I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay in KIldwick. It is ideal for us as it is next door to good friends of ours and this where we will be returning whenever we go to see our friends, provided it's not fully booked!! Thank you 20 out of 10, fabulous. We’ve just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay at The Summerhouse and honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, Lindsay made us feel so welcome and was the perfect host throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about making every guest feel comfortable and relaxed. The Summerhouse itself is immaculate — beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and finished to such a high standard with quality touches throughout. Lindsay has thought of absolutely everything; if you’ve forgotten something, chances are it’s already there waiting for you! One of the highlights for us was the incredible garden and outdoor seating area. It’s peaceful, spacious, beautifully maintained, and such a lovely place to relax and unwind. Exactly what we were hoping for when booking our break. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations and we left feeling completely refreshed. A true hidden gem and somewhere we would happily return to in a heartbeat. Thank you again Lindsay for such a fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Lindsay was a brilliant host, very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The property was really attractive and comfortable, attention to detail was second to none, the garden is beautiful, full of birdsong and illuminated at night we spent many a happy hour enjoying that and the church bells ringing! Several seating areas, fire pit and barbecue! The local pub and cafe(locally sourced and home cooked food) were brilliant offering great food and drink, full of community spirit and very welcoming. The canal, metres away, has lovely towpath walks suitable for wheelchair and mobility scooter access. We had a great time, thanks Lindsay, we will come again soon!
