  • "Thorntons House was comfortable, and generally in a good, clean state."

Everything you need is there - except for an ice box which would have been very useful for ice cubes for our drinks! Also, the fridge doesn't actually get cold enough, even when turned up to maximum, leaving foods at risk. Otherwise, we had a great stay, the garden is very private, and there's always some part of it in the shade.

"Thank you for your feedback, I am glad you enjoyed the private garden! I can see that your stay ended on 3rd July. In response to previous comments, we installed a freezer in the kitchen on 12th July to provide plenty of ice for our guests. We have also had a technician service the fridge to ensure it cools perfectly. Thank you for helping us improve Thorntons House!" Property Owner

  • "This is a nice property in the perfect location situated between The Yorkshire Dales and The North Yorkshire Moors."

It’s a large house with an enclosed garden, off road parking for 1 car and 3 good sized double bedrooms. The house was spotlessly clean, but could do with some general cosmetic work. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have no wardrobes or hanging space, but all three bedrooms had really comfortable beds. The bathroom is perfect, with a bath, separate shower cubicle and piping hot water! There is no freezer despite being advertised as having one which we personally would’ve liked as we tend to buy local products to take home with us, so a freezer is handy to keep ice blocks frozen for our cooler bag. Other than that, the kitchen is really nice and has everything else you need. If we visit the area again in the future I would book to stay here again.

Thank you for your lovely review and for choosing to stay with us. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the property. We also appreciate your constructive feedback regarding the freezer, and hanging space in the bedrooms. Guest comments are invaluable in helping us improve, and we've taken your observations on board. We will review these areas to see how we can enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you again for your kind words and helpful suggestions. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner
