  • "Lots of room for al of my family and lovely views from the living area out onto the back garden."

Very clean & organised property and we easily settled into enjoying the comfort of the living, dining space and the games room, (Teenage Grandchildren loved this room). Close proximity to the North Beach was an added advantage as we left all 4 cars back in the drive. All in all we had a wonderful few days together staying in Riverside House.

  • "We stayed at Riverside House during the February half term."

There is plenty of space for a large family or group. The only issue we found was there wasn't enough kitchen surface area when preparing meals for our family of 6. We cannot fault the contact with the owners who were outstanding when we needed to get in touch with them with a few issues. The issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. We would definitely recommend a stay at this property. As there is plenty to do in and around the area.

  • "Lovely, large, well maintained, spotless house near the North Bay in Scarborough."

With five large bedrooms and three bathrooms/shower rooms, this is an obvious choice for larger families or friends to base themselves when visiting North Yorkshire. Although we didn’t really use the outside areas, plenty of space for outdoor dining and/or entertaining. I can 100% recommend this holiday property and intend returning.

Thank you for your fantastic recommendation. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and we would love to welcome you back. Mrs White Owner Property Owner

  • "Overall a great cottage, fabulous size for a group to socialise whilst still having plenty of space and gardens are beautiful."

Couple of small things could be improved - beds are double not king size as the listing described and not overly comfortable. Also, as a house for a large group, very limited toilet roll was left. Not world ending as Tesco nearby but annoying to discover when everyone has had a drink and can't drive up.

Thank you for your review, I am pleased you enjoyed, I am sorry you did not find the beds comfortable, this is the first time anyone has said this. If you could advise privately which bed you are referring too we can check the mattress for future guests, as usually people comment that they are comfortable. Mrs White Owner Property Owner

The property

Riverside House is a stylish holiday home, set on the outskirts of the popular seaside town of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

Perfect for a gathering of family or friends, this spacious property has everything you need for a self-catering break, while being within easy reach of Scarborough's attractions and beach, and North Yorkshire's many attractive towns and villages.

Off-road parking greets you on arrival, before stepping into an open-plan living space, where you can dine at the table for 10, unwind in front of the woodburning stove, or simply admire the views from the bright and airy snug area.

When hunger strikes, the kitchen has everything you need to whip up a family dinner, including an American-style fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher.

Making your way through the property, a door leads out to a convenient ground-floor shower room, perfect after a day at the beach.

From here, the garage/games room can provide you with your evening entertainment; why not unleash your competitive side with a game of pool or table tennis?

After a fun-filled day, climb the stairs to the first floor where five bedrooms lie; three king-size and two twins, each with storage for your belongings, and a tasteful décor invite you to rest your eyes.

Finishing off the interior of Riverside House is a bathroom with a gorgeous freestanding bath to soak in, along with another shower room so there is plenty of room to get ready for a day out.

Externally, the multilevel garden leaves little to be desired with furniture for dining alfresco, a lawn for games, and ample space to savour the warmer months.

The coastal town of Scarborough is bursting with things to do, all year around; avid golfers may want to spend an afternoon at Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club, animal lovers may want to explore the SEA LIFE centre, and walkers of your group can wander the Cleveland Way path.

In the heart of the town, you can also find an array of pubs and eateries for the nights you just don't feel like cooking, as well as a variety of beaches and fish and chip shops for a quintessential seaside break.

Follow the coastline up to the iconic town of Whitby, known for its dramatic abbey, gorgeous architecture, and the famous 199 steps.

Further afield, venture into the city of York for more shopping and dining options, or to the North York Moors National Park for walking and cycling in abundance.

Bring your loved ones to Riverside House for a break you'll remember for years to come.
