Bi-fold doors lead out to the balcony where you can really take in the scene; gaze at the boats as they come and go, admire the charmingly painted houses nestled around the harbour and breath in the wonderfully fresh sea air.

Run yourself a warm bath to relax after a day of exploring, before choosing from one of the four stylish bedrooms.

The master bedroom boasts lovely harbour views and an en-suite bathroom, whilst an equally inviting twin and a double bedroom can be found on this level too, and completing the layout is a king-size ground-floor bedroom, complete with an en-suite with both a walk-in shower and a separate bath.

Situated in the centre of Whitby, with easy access to a great number of tourist attractions, you will struggle to fit everything in one trip!

Some of the most popular attractions in the town include the 199 Steps up to the imposing Whitby Abbey, said to have inspired Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', and of course the beautiful sandy beaches located on both sides of the river estuary, perfect for a day of sandcastle building. There are also regular boat trips out of the harbour ranging from short 20 minute sails to multi-hour wildlife or sunset cruises (in season).

Visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum where you can learn about Cook through historical and ethnographic exhibitions, or head to the Whitby Museum to discover fossils, quirky artefacts and the history of the town's maritime past.

Further afield, the breath-taking North York Moors offer a welcome change of scenery with stunning moorland and picturesque villages.Whilst a day of hiking along the Cleveland Way can take you as far as Robin Hood's Bay, stretching for 7 miles along the coast taking in panoramic cliff views, Whitby Lighthouse and several sandy bays.
