Glenmhor Apartment

Glenmhor was just perfect as a base for our Scottish holiday to Fort William.

A clean, comfortable apartment in a quiet area on the outskirts of the town with ample parking and the lovely hosts living onsite. The apartment has everything you would need for a holiday. A small kitchen with a microwave, cooker and fridge-freezer and a table big enough to play a few board games. Furnished like a home-from-home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and we would definitely stay there again!

This wonderful holiday let offered a spotless, cozy, and perfectly located stay.

The host provided clear instructions, the kitchen had everything needed, and the peaceful surroundings made it a truly relaxing getaway. Every detail felt cared for, and it exceeded all expectations.

This apartment was the ideal place to stay, particularly during the very wet week we had there.

It is roomy and very comfortably furnished. Tha accommodation is extremely well equipped with good quality appliances, etc. Kathleen, the host was very welcoming and helpful.

Very comfortable, warm place and friendly host who lives next door to property. Location was ideal for us, 30-40 minute walk into centre of Fort william. Only recommendation would be to supply guests with an information pack of what to do with recycling, where to leave key at end of stay and perhaps some local information on things to do/places to eat nearby.

Perfect location for climbing Ben Nevis, exploring Fort William and the Highlands.

Apartment was spotless and had everything you could need to a week away. There is some road noise from the main road but not an issue with a basic pair of earplugs.

The Apartment was very warm and comfortable. Unfortunately Storm Amey blacked out Fort William on the last evening/night. Kathleen checked on our well being and provided Candles. Hope to make another booking next year.

Fabulous place to stay for exploring Fortwilliam, The Highlands and beyond!

Lots to do on foot to take a break from the car and also many short trips not far away. A great base. Host was terrific, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well stocked.

This apartment was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, nicely furnished and very comfortable, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

Katherine, the owner, lives next door, was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment’s location, overlooking green fields across the road, was just what we required, being within walking distance of shops (15 minutes to useful supermarkets) and Fort William town centre (40 minutes). There is also a useful bus stop right outside. We visited some beautiful places in the highlands by car but our favourite was right on our doorstep, the walk along the river and waterfalls of Glen Nevis. We also enjoyed a ride on the famous Jacobite Steam Train from Fort William to Mallaig, crossing the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, but please book early if you wish to take this trip. A negative comment in a previous review warned that noise from the A82 hindered sleep, but the windows are double glazed and with the windows closed, we slept soundly in the very comfortable bed. We highly recommend this accommodation.

The apartment was amazing, clean, warm and had everything you needed. Comfortable bed, quiet (we did not hear any road noise as was indicated might be the case) . Good off road parking. Lots of beautiful places without needing to go too far. Kathleen, the owner was lovely - very helpful without being intrusive. She has worked hard to create a first class holiday let. We only have praise for Glenmhor. Thankyou Kathleen for a great stay.

The property was in good clean condition with most things that you could need.

A dishwasher would have been nice but we got away with washing up by hand! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard space for food items. A nice touch were the ‘night time’ motion sensor lights in the lounge and hall, mind you they are needed if you require the bathroom at night! Stairs are dark and for us a little awkward as they curve round the top and bottom so care was needed specially at night. Again, for our liking a bannister on the wall would have been nice as my wife is quite frail and clumsy. Location wise it was really good with two petrol stations close by each way and M&S food and Aldi just past the BP garage towards town. There’s a lovely soap shop and cafe across the road serving delicious food all day well worth a visit or two! Owners are very friendly and helpful would recommend them and the accommodation.

The flat was very clean, well equipped, comfy and warm.

Booking in and out was easy and the hosts were friendly and obviously cared about there guests.

Very convenient location right on the A82 to go north, south, etc. Town Centre is also reachable on foot (ca 40 mins) through some lovely grazing grounds. There is some traffic noise during the day, but nothing noticeable to disturb a good nights sleep. Kathleen and her family were very lovely and had good recommendations for the area. Loved my stay and would recommend!

Glenmhor apartment is a wonderful, comfortable base from which to explore the Fort William area.

It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. We had a warm welcome from Kathleen and felt reassured that she was nearby if we had any queries. Glenmhor is well situated, with walks from the door and the facilities of the town close by. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we want to stay in the area.

Kathleen was very welcoming and showed me around the apartment.

It was warm and spotlessly clean when I arrived and is very well situated for getting into the surrounding hills and Fort William has all of the necessary amenities close by.

The apartment was very comfortable and private with everything that we could need for our stay.

The landlady was very helpful and friendly especially when we were late coming back from climbing Ben Nevis!

We really enjoyed our stay, and after a rough start, due to others failing us (planes, hire car companies); we found that this was an excellent place to stay for folks visiting the Fort-William or surrounding highlands areas.

Thank you for opening your home to us, and being a joy to be around. Thanks for your patience with my questions, our parking and my strange out of hours texts.

Glen Mhor is spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable, well equipped, plenty of hot water, and the WiFi works (which is not true of all properties).

We have stayed here before more than once, and our best recommendation is that we hope to return and that we would not stay anywhere else in the Fort William area. Kathleen is a lovely lady who is always friendly and certainly makes you welcome, but is unobtrusive. We will be back!

The apartment has everything you need and is within walking distance of all amenities. The apartment was very clean and tidy and a great base for our cycling and hiking holiday. The owners were also very kind and friendly, we felt really looked after.

The Glenmhor Apartment we stayed at was fabulous, very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed.

the only gripe I have is that there was no coffee table in the apartment, we mentioned this to the owner, and she said that she would sort it out. The apartment was very local to shops and supermarkets etc. Kathleen, the owner, was very friendly and would stop to say something every time she met you. We will definately be going back there again.
