  • "The cottage was perfect for us and very comfortable."

The issue with the hot water was communicated beforehand and with instructions of what we needed to do if and when there was a problem were very clear and very prompt. There is only 1 criticism, it would have been favourable to have a few more mugs / cups so the dishwasher didn't need putting on as often

  • "What a wonderful place to stay."

The photos do not do it justice. I was initially worried after booking that it was going to be quite old fashioned based on the images on the website but on arrival these concerns were quickly allayed. The location is superb if you are looking for peace and quiet as well as nature. There is a long track beside the property that leads to a coastal path. It's a fantastic place to walk your dogs. We saw SO many hares and deer and the variety of birds was impressive. Make sure you take up the offer of paying for insurance when booking, I wish I had, as my naughty dog, who slept in the kitchen at night decided to scratch the door and damage it. So if you have naughty dogs like mine, defintely consider the insurance option, particulalry as the entire place is carpeted and there is no garden for the dogs to relieve themselves. Also, if you enjoy a bit of telly in the evening, it might be worth bringing an HDMI cable or firestick because there is only Freeview. My only criticisms are that the bed I slept in was very hard however the bedroom with the two beds were very comfortable. Additionally, there were very loud 'clunking' noises coming from the boiler all through the day and night which was disturbing at times. The shower upstairs could not maintain a consistent temperature and varied between comfortable, to scorching, to cold and then comfortable again. I'm sure all these things can be remedied.

  • "You deducted £64."

80 from my credit card for ‘soiled linen’ Had you laundered the linen as you would ordinarily have done, there wouldn’t have been as issue. The soiling was caused by fake tan which comes out easily when washed.

  • "A very comfortable and attractive cottage with all the facilities you could need."

The location is central both for drivers and walkers with a lovely view across the bay of Holy Island just a short walk down the lane.
