Bursting with character throughout, the property blends heritage details with generous social spaces designed for spending quality time together.

At the heart of the home lies the open-plan living space, where guests are immediately drawn into a warm and welcoming setting.

The sitting area is arranged with deep seating, tasteful soft furnishings, and period features, all centred around an attractive woodburning stove that naturally becomes the focal point for evenings indoors.

From here, the space flows effortlessly into the fully fitted kitchen, which is thoughtfully arranged to cater for larger groups, making meal preparation a shared and sociable part of the stay.

An elegant dining table sits centrally within the room, encouraging everyone to gather together for long meals, conversation, and drinks, while double patio doors open out to the courtyard and frame views that bring the outdoors in.

The courtyard provides an inviting space for alfresco dining or relaxed socialising, extending the living space beyond the walls of the house.

When it’s time to retire for the evening, The Chimney offers four beautifully presented bedrooms.

A ground-floor super-king-size bedroom provides easy accessibility, while the first floor hosts a further super-king-size, a king-size, and a twin bedroom, each styled to create a calm retreat after days spent exploring the surrounding area.

BAMBURGH

Seahouses 3.5 miles; Beadnell 5.1 miles; Alnwick 16.9 miles.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
