Bonjedward Mill Farm Cottage

What a great property.

Very quit and lot of privacy. The host had also left some gifts to welcome us. Nearby the local toen for shops, eat and sightseeing. Many thanks for the host. It’s a place to remember and come back.

Mill Farm Cottage was very comfortable accommodation for our family of 5.

It was clean and well appointed. We could prepare and eat meals as well as spend time together relaxing in the cottage between excursions. The location between many key visitor attractions in the Borders was really convenient and it was walking distance into Jedburgh. Angela was very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

This is our second time at this beautiful farm cottage, everything you need for your stay.

As always impressive gift pack. The garden is well enclosed for your four legged family. I.e a standard dashchound, no fears of her escaping. Lovely open fields all around. We love it. The owners are very welcoming. We will be back

Our family (two adults, two teenagers and a border terrier) absolutely loved our stay in the cottage.

Its quirky layout gave it a really distinct feel and from the moment we walked in we felt completely at home. Spotlessly clean and superbly well equipped, it had everything and more that we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable (our sleep-loving daughter said she didn't miss her bed at home one bit - and that is a massive compliment from her!!) with the end rooms especially feeling very spacious. The location was perfect. Not just because of the view of grazing sheep from the window but for easy access to explore this beautiful area. We had wonderful break in this lovely house and would recommend to anyone.

Very clean throughout, well maintained. Angela the owner was very nice she poped over to make sure everthing was ok and any problems just pop over to the farm and let her know , i thought that was very nice of her. The welcome pack was appricated Thanks. The cottage is siturated in lovely area theres loads to see and do - Peebles is about 45min , Thurton wood is little over 1hr. Look forward to returning in November

Great facilities, beautiful clean throughout, well maintained. Nice surroundings, private and secure for my dog. Very nice owners had a nice chat with Angela as we both walked our dogs early in the mornings. Great location with plenty of places within an hours journey. Highly recommend this lovely property

Quiet and peaceful just what you want away from the hussle and bussle of City life

We loved the cottage.

It was everything as described. The beds were comfortable and the chairs. The whole cottage was clean and just ready to move in. It was fitted with everything we needed. A barbecue would have been nice but we brought our own. Many thanks for a great stay.

Lovely property.

Very functional, everything is as needed. Nothing too flashy but clean, tidy, and clearly cared for. It is on a working farm, expect some noise but nothing that disturbed us, actually the opposite, it provided us with some of the main memories our son will take with him from the holiday (What young boy doesn't like watching the tractors!?). Would say a car is essential for this stay. Jedburgh is fine as a town, but it's a fairly long walk (20 minutes to a fairly good cafe on the edge of the town, another 15-20 if you want to get into the heart of it all). Limited choices of good places to eat and things to do in the town but much more choice in the surrounding area. Location worked for us, about an hour from the 4/5 different places we wanted to visit in opposite directions, so a nice central location for our Borders/Northumbria holiday. An all around lovely cottage and holiday.

We absolutely loved our stay at the bonjedward mill cottage.

We stayed over the new year period so we could bring in the bells in an idyllic location. We loved the layout of the cottage and was much more spacious than we anticipated. The facilities were great - the dishwasher and drinks fridges were a particular favourite! The owners left a lovely welcome package which was greatly appreciated. On New Year’s Day we were unaware the northern lights were visible outside and the owner kindly chapped our door to let us know and wish us a happy new year.

The property was fabulous.

It had everything we could need, was already decorated for Christmas, setting the scene from the moment we stepped through the door. The host could not have been nicer.

We had a good week at the property, it was spacious , for 6 adults and 1 dog.

The accommodation was very clean and tidy and well equipped with everything we needed, we were able to park 3 cars in the driveway which was good. As we were visiting family close by we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for the welcome pack much appreciated.

We have just returned home following a lovely week at Mill Farm Cottage.

The cottage is beautiful, clean, cosy, very well equipped and beautifully designed and furnished. The surroundings are peaceful and close to amazing walks and also to Jedburgh which is a lovely little town. The farm is pretty much central in the borders which means that other towns in the Borders are mostly just within a short drive. We will be booking again. Angela and Colin were great hosts and available if we needed anything, the added welcome goodies was a lovely touch. 5 stars from us!!

We loved this cottage.

It was spotlessly clean and was extremely well equipped. Loved the quirky layout and it was very spacious. Great dog safe garden which our wee dog liked to wander about. We were lucky with our weather. Only one day of rain during our week there and we had a couple of beautiful days. Even managed to sit out in the garden. Lots to do and see in the surrounding area. As it was October when we were there the autumn colours were beautiful. There are plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. We met both Angela and Colin and they were both lovely. We would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again if back in the area. Thank you!

The cottage is well presented and is so cosy. With welcoming chocolates and Wine. Great walk into Jedburgh. We had such a great time already booked again.

This accommodation is exemplary and scrupulously clean ; the facilities are second to none and both dining and living rooms are very cosy.

Kitchen facilities are first rate with a well stocked cutlery and crockery and the separate utility room is a bonus. A wonderful welcome pack awaited us on arrival and the cottage is a credit to its owners. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Roland

Great cottage, had absolutely everything in it we needed.

Was clean and comfortable. The welcome biscuits, wine, fudge, sweets and milk were such a lovely surprise. A great place to stay, would highly recommend. The owners Angela and Colin were lovely. We loved seeing the sheep outside. The only thing we thought was missing was a smart TV, for the days when the weather is bad, you’ve played games and want to relax with a choice of programmes.

Booked this last minute getaway and what a lovely 3 night stay we had.

A beautiful secluded location on a friendly and welcoming working farm. The cottage is really nice, cosy, warm and very clean and has lots of little touches that made it feel very homely. The welcome gifts were also a lovely touch. The fully enclosed garden was much appreciated by our dog too! We have stayed in many places in the UK and I have to say this is one of our favourite stays! We will definitely be back :). The most memorable moments had to be, that we witnessed and photographed a beautiful display of the northern lights on all 3 nights, from the comfort of our doorstep of the cottage! Thank you again for a great weekend!

There was just myself, hubby and Poppy the dog, who had a ball, the enclosed garden was a godsend. The cottage was spotless and one of the best equipped places we’ve stayed in. Lovely property nice and quiet even though it was on a farm.

We have just spent a lovely week in Bonjedward Mill Farm Cottage, everyone in our party commented on how well equipped and comfortable the cottage was!

We had a very busy week exploring both Scotland & Northumberland, it was great to get back to the cottage, cook a meal in the fabulously kitted out kitchen. We then found plenty of comfy spots for reading or TV viewing, followed by a good nights rest in the comfortable beds. Really appreciated the Welcome pack & Welcome from the lovely owner. Highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed!

I would stay again without hesitation.

Excellent facilities in the kitchen and laundry room, spacious and comfortable throughout, and a large, attractive garden area with outdoor tables and seating perfect for enjoying the sun. The owners are friendly and very responsive to any issues.

This property, both inside and out, is immaculate and well presented with a well equipped kitchen.

When we lost a light bulb the owners were quick to respond and very friendly. The property is light and airy and in a good position for discovering the surrounding area.

Very welcoming, verbal introduction to the area was very informative and helpful from Angela.

All facilities provided and felt very much at home. Especially ideal for the dog with having the fully enclosed garden. The working farm day to day tasks were interesting to view without feeling that we were imposing and all staff seemed pleasant by acknowledging us. Overall a fabulous experience.

The cottage was beautiful!

We loved everything about it. A massive garden and lots of lovely walks. Angela The owner told us about some of the walks and places to visit. We also got to watch the sheep shearing which was amazing. We would definitely go back again.

Really comfortable and clean. The owners were really friendly and informative of the surroundings and areas which might have interested us. They also let my 5 year old twins see the ducklings and chickens which they absolutely loved! Absolutely beautiful cottage and the finishing touches were perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect in every way, the best property we have ever stayed in.

More a house than a cottage with four bedrooms, two sitting rooms and two staircases, and two bath/shower rooms. It was cold weather when we stayed, about 5 degrees, but the property was very cosy. Equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The very nice welcome pack was much appreciated, we forgot to mention this to the owner when we spoke to her. I can't think of how it could be any better than it is. We will be going back, probably several times. Our dog loved it also.

We had a lovely week staying at Bonjedward Farm Mill.

The cottage was very comfortable and really well equipped. There was just 2 of us and a dog so we had lots of space but it would be comfortable for a large family or 2 small families. We were there during a very cold week where it got down to -5C at night but we were still cosy sitting in the living room with the wood burner lit. The owners were very friendly and there if you needed them. It is a working farm and it would be great for children to see the sheep and cows up close. There is a large private garden which is ample for dogs or children to play. We didn’t use the outdoor space due to the weather but I can imagine it would be lovely to sit out there on a summers evening. Lots of local walks, along with plenty to do within an hours drive. Holy Island at Lindisfarne and walks at Kielder Forest were a couple of our favourites. If we were to explore the Scottish Borders again we would not hesitate in rebooking this cottage.

What a lovely place to stay!

We had a great time meeting our friends and it was so important they could bring their very well behaved dog. The cottage was very comfortable, fab beds, well equipped and easy to live in for our stay. Nice touch leaving well supplied and lovely touches of wine and chocolates were appreciated. No hesitation to stay again.

The cottage is in a lovely position on a working farm so you are surrounded by fields. It is a large cottage, very well furnished and very comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. Lots of places to visit in the local area or a short journey away. You are only an hour from Edinburgh or the lovely beaches of Northumberland. Highly recommended.

The cottage was perfect.

It was clean, tidy, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We were welcomed with gifts of chocolate, wine, tea, coffee, sugar and some flowers which were very much appreciated. This was our 2nd stay at Bonjedward and it just as good as the first.

Very comfortable and equipped, everything you could want or need for a quality stay. Conveniently situated, easy to get to Edinburgh by train and clear roads across the borders. We come from Devon and just wish it was closer so we could visit more often.

Having holidayed in many cottages over the years I would have to put Bonjedward in my top 5.

It had everything required to make our stay comfortable from wi-fi to washing up liquid. The location was ideal far enough out of town to be peaceful but close enough for access to shops, restaurants etc. The owners are very friendly with a warm welcome and ready to stop for a chat. They also provide a vast selection of games to help while away any rainy days. All in all an excellent cottage and I would certainly return for another visit.

First class cottage really cosy and quirky.

Garden ideal for dog who had a whale of a time. Lovely walks on doorstep for quick walk before adventures further afield. The welcoming pack excellent and very thoughtful.

A comfortable, well equipped (kitchen items, towels, cleaning products etc) and maintained cottage.

Good layout for a multi-generation family stay (separate bedroom ‘wings’ each!). Great garden lawn for kids to play and lovely outdoor seating area in the sun. Good location, walkable to Jedburgh (Castle/jail was great) and short drive to Kelso (lovely ice cream parlour) Really welcoming and kind hosts, thank you both for a great stay.

We had a lovely Christmas week in the cottage, walking from the door every day on footpaths and quiet lanes.

It was perfect - spacious, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas with a generous welcome pack. The beds are comfy, the log fire burns brightly and the owners are friendly and seem to have thought of everything.

The cottage was so cosy and surrounded by plenty of farm life to make you feel a real sense of being in the country. We arrived late on day one and the cottage was already warm and packed with the essentials to get straight into a relaxing state. Great location for access to Edinburgh, Northumberland forest and more within 45mins each way. Thank you very much to the owners for being so accommodating and checking everything was OK during our break.

Lovely cottage in the beautiful Scottish Borders.

We hadn’t previously visited the Scottish Borders before but an absolute treat! So many lovely places to visit & the area is just beautiful. Everyone we met was so friendly so made it even more special. Angela our host was welcoming & the cottage was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could wish for. Would definitely recommend a stay at Bonjedward Mill Farm cottage & the stunning area it is set in. All in all I have been left with wonderful memories of this holiday.

The cottage is stunning.

I stayed with my husband and my parents, plenty or room without being squashed together. A well maintained property with extremely comfortable beds and sofas. A well equipped kitchen . If was visiting the borders again wouldn't hesitate to rebook. We even had a tour of the farm which brought back fond memories for my parents.

The house was very comfortable and spacious with everything that we needed.

Our stay at Bonjedward Cottage has been fabulous.

Prior to our stay, communications with the owner were helpful. We arrived to a little hamper of tea, coffee, biscuits and wine which was lovely. The entire house was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The kids loved the variety of games available. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of crockery. The bedrooms were comfortable and airy. My only complaint would be a soft bed but that's just personal preference. The sofa and easy chairs were comfortable. The garden was lovely and well kept, with a BBQ area, lawn for the kids to play on and a very useful washing line around the corner. We enjoyed watching the tractors go back and forth, busy with their summer work. It is located perfectly for trips up to Edinburgh and down into Northumberland.

This was an opportunity to meet our son and have a relaxed week together.

We enjoyed our stay. Being in our 70s & 80s bathrooms downstairs were a bit difficult.

Nice, big cottage in a great location just off the A68.

Host was available but not intrusive, and gave us some great tips on where to go for walks, food etc. And the lambs in the field opposite the cottage were lovely!

What a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable stay we had at Bonjedward Mill Cottage!

Angela and Colin cannot do enough for you....we travelled with our daughters and they got taken on a tour of the farm and my youngest got to name a cow!! We arrived to a box of chocolates and a lovely bottle of wine which was such a lovely touch. The little details in the cottage are perfect in ensuring your stay is comfortable. Everything has been thought of. My daughters were delighted to find the games cupboard. Jedburgh is the perfect location to visit different areas around the borders and Northumberland. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Cottage was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy.

It had great facilities and the kitchen had everything you could possible need to cook. The beds are super comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The walking from the cottage is amazing and it is well located if you wish to go further afield and explore more of the Borders. Everything was thought about to ensure a fabulous break from the welcome pack of goodies to the information available on the area. We very much hope to return and explore more.

A lovely cottage with up-to-date furniture and equipment; we were very comfortable there.

Great location for accessing many of Jedburgh's well signed footpaths straight from the site and a good garden for the dog. Tourist destinations and several golf courses an easy distance. The nearby visitors centre at Harestanes is worth a visit if only for the lovely home-made icecream and Kelso gin!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, comfortable cottage.

We were three adults and three young children and we all loved it. There was plenty of space, good facilities ( though I found the hob a little difficult to operate) and the outside space was loved by all even though it was early January. Our thanks to the owners who came to rescue us when we were very close by but could not find the drive. Would suggest others look for the road sign indicating a junction.

The cottage was excellently presented.

Spacious and very comfortable. Everything was thought of, kitchen had a large range of cooking utensil and crockery. The level of accommodation was superb, plenty of space, we had 6 people and we never felt like we couldn't get away. Surrounding were lovely, and the lady who owns the cottage was very friendly and nothing would have been too much trouble. My only though would be perhaps a handle in the shower for people who are less confident on their feet but this is in no way a detraction from what was a very lovely cottage, in a beautiful setting.

Its position in the boarders is ideal for visiting lots of places including Edinburgh, the fantastic beach and castle at Bamburgh and various other places of interest. The location was perfect, quiet and beautiful surroundings yet near to Jedburgh which had so much history as well as mill shops and everything that you could need.

A lovely well presented cottage, so much bigger than the photos show (which do not do the property justice).

We had a lovely week, didn’t need for anything in the cottage and a very lovely welcome pack on arrival which came in very handy. In a lovely peaceful area with the town just a few minutes away if needed. Angela and Colin the owners are lovely and on site if needed. Both had lots of patience explaining about the workings on the farm and talking to the kids about the animals. Although Colin may have been slightly harassed by our eldest feeding the lambs as he was popping out every two minutes on an evening waiting. Loved listening to the animals on a morning, which even with the windows open slightly didn’t disturb us. All in all we’ve had a lovely week there and already considering booking again. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a wonderful time.

The cottage was fantastic and great for kids. Lots of toys, games, dvds and hiding places for hide & seek! The owners were great and had left us some essentials such as bread, milk, orange, butter etc aswell as a a box of chocolate

The family that run the farm were so welcoming and very accommodating as we were staying with 20 month old triplets . We will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely modern homely cosy cottage set on a farm.

Had a little tour of the farm thanks you Colin. Walkable to jedbrough lovely little town and Abby. The cottage is well set out with everything you need for your stay and a great nights sleep too!. I went with my two children aged 27 and 21 !! Grandson (two months old) and son in law too. The log fires in the cottage are amazing. Can’t fault our stay, the cottage had been very well designed with all your home comforts
