Stay here if you want to experience: panoramic views, glorious sunsets/sunrises, perfect views of the stars, wildlife, walking, and peace and quiet in an isolated location but with a pub 5 minutes drive away!
Petty Knowes is also not just a summer destination!
It is located within the International Dark Sky Park, and this, along with our unique location, means that on a clear night, you can look up into the night sky and see thousands of stars, the Milky Way, and the Andromeda Galaxy (2.5 million light years away) all with the naked eye and from the comfort of your private garden!
In addition, the local pub does occasional dark sky events where you can go for a meal then be shown the stars through a telescope for a much closer look.
There is also the close by Observatory at Kielder, a public astronomical observatory and educational centre where unforgettable memories are made beneath the stars.
The property has been renovated to a high standard, whilst care has been taken to retain many original features to add a wealth of character.
Petty Knowes Cottage is an excellent choice for relaxing in comfort with touches of luxury, at any time of the year.
